Transmigrated into Another Apocalyptic World (BL)

Chapter 19: Tying Everyone

Luciel looked around and saw that everyone was still in their position when they fainted. It seemed that he was really the first person to wake up.

In the novel, it says that the later the person wakes up, the higher the chances are for them to awaken strong superpowers. However, some people would still wake up as ordinary people, and those who failed to wake up as either an ordinary person or a person with superpowers would wake up as zombies.

The mechanics weren't clearly explained in the novel, but it only says that those who were able to adapt and weren't completely taken over by the new force that suddenly covered the world successfully woke up with superpowers.

Those that were able to resist the new force and have a slow adaptation rate didn't wake up with any superpowers but still woke up as normal people.

While those that were totally assimilated with it became zombies.

Most of the people who woke up first were all ordinary people; however, he could feel that his plant superpower was back. He was familiar with the new force he could feel around his body because he had been using the same power for seven years.

Luciel could finally feel the presence of his power again. In the past few weeks, the thing that he wasn't able to get accustomed to was the disappearance of his superpower.

Now, he could feel his powers again. The presence of the plants on the rooftop clearly became stronger, and he could feel his affinity for them getting stronger, so he was sure that he still had the same plant superpower as in his last life.

While he was feeling his superpowers, he heard Ashlee speaking, so he immediately looked at her.

"Brother, why is everyone sleeping?" Ashlee asked while looking at him.

Luciel walked towards Ashlee, who was sitting up beside her sleeping father.

"The world suddenly gave a big surprise to everyone; that's why everyone is still sleeping," Luciel said, simplifying what was happening for her to understand.

"Will dad wake up?" Ashlee said while poking the cheeks of her father.

"After the world gave a surprise, he also gave everyone a gift. They are still receiving the gift; that's why they are still sleeping."

"Do I also have a gift?" Ashlee said while looking around.

"Yes, but maybe you will receive it later on, when you can carry it," Luciel said while smiling at Ashlee, who was still looking around for her gift.

Those that woke up first were likely to be ordinary people, but they still have the chance to wake up their superpowers later on, after fully adapting to the new force that suddenly appeared.

"Oh, then, brother, did you also receive a gift?" Ashlee asked curiously.

"Yes, I have it, but I still can't use it. By the way, Ashlee, you should help your brother a bit because there might be someone here who received a bad gift and will trouble others who are still receiving their gifts."

"Yes, I will help, brother," Ashlee cutely nodded.

"That's good, then let's tie everyone up," Luciel said with a bright smile.

Last night, he went to get the ropes that were in the storage room and brought them to the rooftop.

He wasn't sure if he would be the one waking up first, because he wasn't the original Luciel Scarlet. If somebody woke up as a zombie first, then everyone would be in danger, but he still bet that he would be the first one to wake up. If it really happened, he could only say that their luck was really bad.

But it seemed that he still bet right, but unlike the original Luciel Scarlet, who likely woke up first because he had no superpowers, he likely woke up first because he was already accustomed to having a superpower because he had already had it in his past life.

Luciel wasn't sure when they would wake up, so he needed to tie them up right away. He started tying them to the iron railings on the rooftop at some distance from each other. He made sure that even if someone became a zombie, they wouldn't be able to cause trouble for the others.

"Brother, why are you tying them? Can you not tie, daddy? It will hurt," Ashlee said while handing him the scissors.

"Don't worry, Ashlee, we are just saving them from the ones that receive bad gifts and turn into monsters. As soon as they wake up, we will let them go," Luciel simply said.

He didn't even let Treyton go and also tied him up, even though he knew that he wouldn't wake up as a zombie.

After tying all of them up, he opened the movable roofs to protect them all from the sun.

"Ashlee, I'm going to get some food downstairs. Don't get close to any of them, and just wait for me, okay?"

"Yes, I will wait for brother."

"If someone wakes up, don't go near them, and call me first. You can just shout, and I will come back immediately," Luciel said.

After Ashlee agreed, he went downstairs and made some sandwiches for the two of them. He also got the milk, ice cream, cookies, and other snacks they could eat later on.

He didn't know how to cook because, in his past life, he was busy being an actor and had an assistant take care of his food, or he would just order takeout. Then, when the apocalypse came, there was no more food to cook, so he didn't learn it.

In this life, Nina always prepared his meals, so he didn't bother learning it, so now he could only make some sandwiches for them to eat.

Hopefully someone who knows how to cook wakes up soon. He still wanted to eat cooked meals.

After preparing the sandwiches and getting all the things he needed for the time being, he went back to the rooftop.
