Transcending Realities: A Journey to Reclaim Home

Chapter 80: A child's revenge

As Danzo and Fugaku clashed, Danzo's disbelief was evident. "How the hell are you alive?" he demanded, his eyes narrowed in suspicion.

Fugaku smirked, enjoying Danzo's unease. "Do you really want to know?" he replied, tauntingly.

Danzo stayed silent, unwilling to admit his curiosity, but his expression betrayed him. Fugaku chuckled. "No need to be coy. Besides, a dying man knowing the truth can't do much with it, can he?"

Danzo's ears perked up, sensing that Fugaku was about to reveal something significant.

"Danzo," Fugaku continued, his tone darkening, "I know all about your desire for the Sharingan and your obsession with Hashirama's cells." His words struck directly at Danzo's darkest ambitions, each syllable laced with accusation.

Feigning ignorance, Danzo scoffed. "What are you talking about?" he said, but a flicker of anxiety crossed his face, betraying the truth Fugaku had exposed.

Danzo's face twisted with a flicker of panic before he quickly composed himself, feigning ignorance. But Fugaku's Sharingan caught every subtle shift in Danzo's expression, every tell that betrayed him.

"You can deny it all you want," Fugaku continued, his smirk widening. "But we both know the truth. Your arm—the one you keep hidden, covered with stolen Sharingan eyes and Hashirama's cells. You thought no one knew, didn't you?"

Danzo gritted his teeth, refusing to give Fugaku the satisfaction of a reaction. But Fugaku pressed on, his voice calm yet laced with venom. "All those innocent lives sacrificed just so you could amass power, so you could pretend to be the hidden savior of Konoha. How many Uchiha died because of your schemes, Danzo?"

"You think you're so righteous, Fugaku," Danzo spat, his voice filled with disdain. "But in the end, power is what keeps this village safe. You Uchiha always thought of yourselves as noble, yet you were ready to betray Konoha at a moment's notice."

"Is that what you tell yourself to justify your actions?" Fugaku shot back, his Sharingan blazing with intensity. "The Uchiha didn't betray Konoha. We were betrayed by you, by your paranoia, your obsession with power. You orchestrated the massacre to eliminate us, to claim our bloodline for yourself."

Danzo glared, his voice cold. "You Uchiha were always a threat. A clan cursed by hatred and pride."

"Then consider this your reckoning," Fugaku said, raising his hand, readying another jutsu. "You'll pay for what you've done to my clan, to Konoha."

Danzo, realizing the gravity of the situation, clenched his fists, steeling himself. "I've come too far to be stopped by the likes of you, Fugaku."

"We Uchiha are still alive because of Naruto," Fugaku admitted, his gaze steady and unwavering. "He helped us while keeping a close eye on your every move."

Danzo's expression shifted to one of shock and disbelief. "How's that possible? He was just a child, and he only recently became a genin. Even if he's stronger than most, there's no way he could have done all this." Danzo shook his head, refusing to believe Fugaku's words. "Fugaku, don't lie. It's impossible for a child to interfere with my plans."

Danzo's disbelief was almost laughable, and Fugaku took a moment to savor the look of confusion on his face.

"Oh, you really have no idea, do you?" Fugaku chuckled darkly. "Naruto may be young, but he's more than capable of outsmarting you. While you schemed in the shadows, he's been watching—knowing exactly what you're up to. All these years, he's been planning and making allies, learning and growing stronger. He's not just a child, Danzo. He's the son of the Fourth Hokage, and he carries his father's legacy in ways you could never understand."

Danzo scowled, his fists clenched tightly. "You expect me to believe a mere genin orchestrated all this? That he's somehow responsible for protecting your clan right under my nose?"

"It's not a matter of belief, Danzo," Fugaku replied, his eyes narrowing. "It's reality. You've underestimated him—just as you've underestimated the Uchiha. Naruto isn't the weak little boy you imagined. He's the very reason the Uchiha live on, waiting for the right moment to strike. And that moment is now."

Danzo's face twisted with rage and frustration. "You're a fool, Fugaku, if you think some child can save you from the consequences of defying me. I have the power of the Sharingan and Hashirama's cells. I'm the one in control here!"

But Fugaku simply smiled, his expression calm and resolute. "Power alone isn't enough, Danzo. True strength comes from those who stand by your side, from bonds you could never understand. And that's exactly why you'll lose—today, and in the end."

"And he did it all for revenge," Fugaku continued, his voice low and charged with intensity. "For his father, and for his clan, both of whom died because of you."

Danzo's face paled as Fugaku's words sank in, his expression shifting from anger to shock and disbelief. "You're saying… the boy orchestrated all of this? Just to bring down me… and the entire council?"

Fugaku's smirk only grew as he continued. "Yes, Danzo. Naruto uncovered the truth behind his father's death and the Kyuubi attack. He realized it wasn't some random act of violence but a betrayal from within—betrayal by those he should have been able to trust. And when he found out about the Uchiha massacre, about how we were all just pawns in your game, he put everything together. The entire Uchiha incident became a trap he carefully crafted, one that would eventually expose you, Hiruzen, and the elders for your lies."

Danzo's voice trembled with an edge of desperation. "You're telling me that all these years, he's been… playing me? Using his own life as bait?"

Fugaku chuckled darkly. "Exactly. Naruto wanted justice, but not through hatred or recklessness. He watched, he waited, and he created this moment. With each move, he's pulled you in, turning your own schemes against you. And now, here we are… at the end of the line for you, Danzo."

Danzo's mouth opened to retort, but he had no words. Fugaku's revelation had shattered his confidence, and for the first time, he realized he was truly cornered, his once-secret power plays undone by a boy he had dismissed as insignificant.

"So now," Fugaku said, his voice cold and final, "you face the consequences not just for the Uchiha, but for Minato, Kushina, and everyone else who suffered because of you."

Danzo's face twisted in fury, but he could see the trap closing in around him. Fugaku's laughter echoed through the dim, empty halls of the Root base, each word driving home Danzo's defeat.

"You think you've won, Fugaku?" Danzo sneered, his voice tinged with desperation. "I still have means to escape. I won't go down quietly."

But Fugaku simply shook his head, his gaze steely. "Your reign of fear ends here, Danzo. The village will finally see you for what you are—a coward hiding behind lies and manipulations. You've used everyone around you, sacrificed countless lives to serve your twisted ideals. That ends today."

Danzo clenched his fists, his mind racing for any strategy to counter the Uchiha leader's words. "You're still just pawns, all of you—Naruto included. You think you're exposing me? The village will fall without me, and you know it!"

"Is that so?" Fugaku's voice was ice-cold. "Then we'll let the village judge. The people will decide if you were ever their 'protector,' or just a parasite feeding off their loyalty."

Danzo took a step back, feeling truly cornered for the first time in his life. Fugaku's words hit him harder than any jutsu ever could. The weight of his actions—everything he had justified for the 'greater good'—now lay bare, and he could feel the ground slipping away beneath him.

Fugaku continued, his voice calm but filled with a deadly finality. "You won't die a hero, Danzo. You'll face justice, and all of Konoha will witness the fall of its hidden tyrant."
