Chapter 1: The Storm
'Its been 4 years since ive been reincarnated to this world or maybe isekai would be a more appropriate term? Anyway ive just finished college with a major on Toy making, i know its a weird major to choose but its the most successful major in this world'
'In this new world ive been reincarnated as someone named Jeff jackson but enough about me, lets talk about the world, its a world where there are three incredibly famous occupations, one is Loremaker, Combattler, and Toymaker'
'A Loremaker creates the worlds and introduces the characters they want into it, the Combattlers use these worlds and their characters in combat through field cards and figures, these characters and figures that the former two occupations use are all thought up by the Toymakers'
'Toymakers are essential for the former two to be able to function properly since a Loremaker could make a powerful character but it would bind itself with the limitations of the world weakening it, its different if a character is introduced to the world, thats where Toymakers shine, they create powerful characters and allow the world to slowly grow stronger and stronger'
'The growth is still limited by the characters potential and the Loremakers, world growth and character growth come hand in hand, if the character reaches the worlds current limit it will force the world level to grow but if the character reaches its potential limit then a new character must be introduced to help the world continue to grow'
'That being said, a character can expand on its potential as long as it is supplemented with lore and other materials such as characters that support the character or ordinances that increase the characters strength, the Toymaker can replace parts of the characters Toy manifestation with better materials as well, a character that can grow infinitely is possible but it requires higher grade materials and expansive lore that should take years to accumulate'
'This is where the Combattler enters, they use the characters in many battling scenarios to accumulate that lore that the Loremaker cannot add, since Loremakers have world building skillsets, Combattlers get to use the characters in combat games, if the Loremaker allows it, which will supplement the lore albeit in a multiversal like style'
'Some Combattlers are even given permission by the Loremakers to alter the characters appearance as long as in essence it is still the same character, how is a character determined as its own character? Via the soft character lore the Toymaker gives the character, as long as it doesnt collide with a similar character lore it wont have any problems being an independent creation'
'Its easy to make a character independent, whats hard is giving it greater potential since the materials must still not conflict with each other and the Toymaker given lore, for example giving a character a trauma of fire but giving them fire abilities while some of the material used is water, a very conflicting creation'
'Though there are some rare cases where the character is able to overcome these conflicts and grow stronger but its all down to luck, a Loremaker needs to be present in order to have a slither of a chance for the character to overcome the conflict though since they will be given by the Toymaker some freedom to edit the lore settings a bit just to increase the chances'
Jeff stopped writing in his notebook and stood up from his study desk, as he has written he is a fresh graduate and is now gonna be planning on what his first character product is gonna be.
"I should write down everything i learned so that my future children wouldnt have to pay the insanely expensive tuition, i still have to dish out 250,000 coins to pay for the student loan and that shit increases by 5% each month as interest"
Jeff sighed and then walked towards a box of materials he had, these were given by the college fot free to the graduating students to help them start their careers, most of them were low quality but by stacking they should be able to make a Low-mid quality product.
"Now what should i make? I bet my batchmates are planning to make goons or even fodder level characters with these materials to buy better mats in the future and i cant blame them, i dont want to be a simple replicator though, plus the original owners of the character they wish to replicate will get a whopping 60% commission since they own the character"
Jeff took a piece of wood that looked quite pale but felt solid and walked to his desk with carving tools ready at the side.
"Now then what were the most famous minions or goon like characters in my past life? Other than those yellow things called by the same name"
While Jeff was thinking he suddenly heard the sound of a marching band outside his house, he lived in an area close to city center in a two story building with a shop below, it was left to him by his father, it was small about 50 sqm, 5 wide and 10 long.
The marching band was so loud but it didnt bother him in the least as he actually remembered one of the most famous fodders in the movies, though they had potential to be better but the movies just disrespected them too much by giving the main characters plot armor.
"STORMTROOPERS!"
