Chapter 293: Shy Little Homebody
"No need to act now," Aurelia squinted her eyes, a calculating glint flashing through her peach blossom eyes. "Let's wait and see what tricks she plans to use against me later. But in my opinion, her approach is quite foolish. She lost to me in acting skills; at worst she could beat me in this area. Yet she's trying to use men and schemes to step over me."
Her acting skills are actually quite good. If she took the right path, she might not become extremely popular, but she would at least carve out a place for herself in the entertainment industry.
She probably thinks this method is convenient and fast, but little does she know, it leaves evidence easily, leading to a quicker demise.
In her past life, as Eleanor Spencer's right-hand woman, Aurelia was caught by Eleanor with evidence, stepping over her, and was ultimately blacklisted without even having a chance to make a name in the entertainment industry.
Without any specific skills, her later life was spent in poverty.
"Let's save the video for now," Aurelia said. "Although she wants to harm me, she hasn't done anything too outrageous yet. Once this video is released, it won't just ruin her career, but also her personal life."
"Alright," Hadrian Turner set the video to auto-save.
He didn't care much if others lived or died; he's seen a lot of this and is indifferent. But since Aurelia doesn't like doing things this way, he follows her lead completely.
"Hadrian Turner." A light and lively voice suddenly came through the receiver, making Hadrian's heart race, throat tighten, and he held his breath, carefully listening to what would come next. He heard her slightly teasing voice say, "My computer is also connected, you don't have to keep watching."
Buzz—Hadrian's mind went blank, his face turned rapidly red as if on fire.
"I-I-I know..." he stammered, quickly hanging up the phone.
Meanwhile, Aurelia, holding her phone, rocked back and forth with laughter. Haha, Hadrian Turner, this little old guy, he's too funny.
Buzz buzz—
A video call came through.
Aurelia answered.
Viscount saw her with tears in her eyes and a cheerful smile, curious, he asked, "What's making you so happy?"
Come to think of it, he hasn't seen her laugh so happily in a long time.
Aurelia wiped away the laughter-induced tears from the corner of her eyes, set her phone aside, lazily tapping the computer and asked, "What's up?"
Viscount was about to speak seriously, glimpsed the screen, and fell off his chair in shock, "Damn! Aurelia! Seriously, you've just been in the crew a few days, and you're this thirsty? Hey, if you really can't hold it in and Mason Nightshade isn't satisfying you, you can tell me. As your childhood friend, I can sacrifice myself to satisfy you."
"Viscount, are you tired of living comfortably these days?" Aurelia coldly interrupted him.
Seeing her about to hang up, Viscount hurriedly spoke, "Wait, don't hang up. I wanted to tell you that your stocks have risen, up more than eight million. Do you want to continue buying?"
Aurelia lifted her lips, "Buy! I have two million left in my card, invest all of it in these two stocks."
Seeing Viscount's concern, she said, "Don't worry about me; if I'm not a hundred percent confident, I wouldn't invest my entire fortune. Just go ahead and buy."
With her assurance, Viscount felt at ease, agreed, ended the call, and bought another two million for her.
After enjoying the passionate scene of the two in the next room, Aurelia yawned, her eyes misty, looking like a rabbit with red eyes. Just as she was about to sleep, Mason Nightshade's call came in. She glanced at it and hung up.
