Tides of the Moon

Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Pieces of the Past

Divine stared at the shell fragment in her hand, her mind racing. "What did they mean about the jar? And why did it feel… familiar?"

Caelan sighed, his shoulders slumping slightly. "Because it is familiar. That jar you saw in your vision—it's part of who you are. In your past life, it was your responsibility to fill it with power, to maintain balance between the moon and the ocean."

Her brow furrowed. "But why would it be empty now?"

"Because when you were reborn, everything you were—your powers, your memories—was stripped away," he explained. "The jar is a reflection of your soul. Until you rediscover who you are and what you're meant to do, it will remain empty."

Divine looked out at the ocean, the weight of his words sinking in. "So I have to fill it… but how?"

Caelan's gaze softened as he looked at her. "By doing what you were meant to do. By restoring balance. And by remembering who you are."
