The room had calmed down.

Count Rose's face was slightly pale, and her gaze turned playful as she scrutinized Yi Bai.

Yi Bai felt a chill run down his spine under that intense stare.

Well... he still owed her a "blood debt," and now, after awakening and drinking a bit of her blood, the debt had only grown!

If he could, he would want to turn to Count Rose and say, Auntie, I don't want to try anymore!

The tiny box was perfectly sealed, made of some unknown material. It was designed to lock away the unique aura of the ghost tool inside.

The drop of blood from the unspeakable, terrifying entity came from the ghost tool inside the box—the Eye Ring!

When the box opened, the bizarre, twisted Eye Ring was revealed once again.

The eerie vertical pupil stared directly at Yi Bai, locking eyes with him.

However, even as the gaze settled upon him, Yi Bai's brief moment of anticipation was quickly shattered.

"Ghost tool..." Count Rose murmured, her eyes now filled with a peculiar expression.

Lina, standing nearby, watched the vertical pupil warily, her scalpel gripped tightly, her nerves on edge.

The blood-red pupil, like a clear lake, shimmered with an eerie glow.

The reflection it cast was even more beautiful than the finest crafted artwork.

The eerie crimson vertical pupil slowly rotated, as though alive, but its gaze never wavered from Yi Bai.

"Count Rose, the blood came from this thing. At the time, I didn't react. I instinctively craved the blood and swallowed it. Could it be that I've really angered an unspeakable being?"

Yi Bai began to panic as he realized the situation.

What was he thinking?!

He was just a newbie who had been dragged into a terrifying game!

Four long, black claws, like ghostly shadows, crawled out from the darkness, forming a protective circle behind him.

The rippling shadow began to morph into arcane runes that covered his body.

As the runes spread across his skin, Yi Bai felt an instant surge in his physical abilities—an all-around enhancement.

Even more importantly, he had gained the ability to meld with the shadows!

The four ghostly figures were fully under his control, ready to fight and die without fear.

They were born from the shadows, impossible to truly kill. Even if they were destroyed, they could be reborn in the darkness.

The only way to permanently remove them was to kill Yi Bai.

The terrifying Eye Ring was always shrouded in a strange, misty aura, making it impossible to see its true nature.

"Count Rose, do you think it's possible..." Yi Bai slowly spoke, giving her a very subtle look.

"Don't worry. This is indeed a ghost tool, not some special ghost creature. Its state is just a bit strange—it seems to be in the process of recognizing you as its master, but hasn't fully done so yet."

After a long observation, Count Rose dismissed Yi Bai's implied concerns and gave this conclusion.
