Chapter 588: Can’t Even Win Once?

In a certain desolate starry universe, warship wreckage is scattered everywhere, with fluorescent blood beads seeping from the metal fractures, while purple arcs of electricity leap across the shattered limbs.

This place has evidently been through a great battle; the boiling energy and exaggerated void fissures have yet to completely subside.

In the area where the wreckage is densest, the distortion caused by the gravitational anomaly is condensing the floating metallic dust into clusters of gray mist.

At the core, Lord Tandin, and Alves' faces were extremely grim, while the Evolved Bodies around them were silent as cicadas in winter.

Until the people sweeping the battlefield arrived, gathering all the corpses together,

Tandin and Alves landed on the platform-style warship, with a shattered corpse lying at the center, still vaguely recognizable as Clarkson.

The half-missing face displayed clear shock and astonishment.

"Can anyone explain to me why this X Level Life Form managed to find this place?" Tandin snarled through gritted teeth, but no one around could answer his question.

"Who here killed his descendant?" Tandin questioned again.

The Evolved Bodies gathered in a circle exchanged puzzled looks, and finally, a humanoid species stepped forward.

His skin was like jet-black rock, covered with red glowing fissures, his eyes pitch black without pupils, and his fingers long and blade-like.

The jet-black rocky face was full of unease and apprehension.

"Something is strange about this."

Realizing they were from the Federation, Alves couldn't help but speak, "We've already cleaned up thoroughly; even if the other side were to check routinely, they couldn't be so meticulous."

"And during the fight just now, this guy clearly knew that Bertrand didn't die in the interstellar volcano."

"Nonsense." Tandin stared icily at the stone man, the imposing pressure forcing him to step back repeatedly.

He said in a deep voice, "The death of one X Level Life Form already changes everything, and this guy's identity is complicated, which might provoke a bigger reaction."

"I suggest relocating the laboratory."

Alves couldn't help but frown, "This matter is indeed peculiar, but it might not necessarily be because of the laboratory, because I discovered that Clarkson is not only a Genetic Evolution Body but also a Superpower User."

"I don't know exactly what his Superpower is, but there's no related record in any documentation; it's his hidden secret."

"Perhaps the reason he could discover the suspicious circumstances of Bertrand's death is because of this unknown Superpower."

"But what if he was intentionally led here?" Tandin countered.

"No one could possibly know the coordinates of this place," Alves understood Tandin's point, but emphasized, "Moreover, relocating the laboratory at such a crucial time is more likely to expose it."

They had argued for several months to select the site previously, and now building a new one elsewhere, how could the resources and time be accounted for?

"How can you ensure that?" Tandin challenged.

Alves spoke with an indifferent tone, "Tandin, are you scared? Intimidated by the Azure Dragon, to be this skittish."

The atmosphere between the two abruptly fell into silence, in the central area, arcs of energy twisted like Thunder erupted.

"My lords, it might be better to think first about how to handle this trouble," Rafael bravely stepped forward, keeping his head down while reading the information:

"Clarkson came from the Osingwell civilization; though fostered by the civilization, he became the ruler behind the scenes through various means, and his internal reputation isn't great..."

As Rafael spoke, the tension on-site gradually eased, and Alves said flatly, "His civilization isn't worth mentioning..."

"But the trouble now is, he is already dead, if it attracts the attention of the Star Alliance and the High-level Life Form Union, there will be endless trouble."

"It's not unusual for an X Level Life Form to disappear for ten or twenty years." Tandin stated calmly, "If someone really comes looking, that would be strange."

Alves shook his head, "It's hard to say, the network surrounding an X Level Life Form is quite complex, and he's also a member of the High-level Life Form Union."

"Recently, Azure Dragon has been holding frequent meetings, if he doesn't show up at the next, it might draw attention."

"Azure Dragon...the High-level Life Form Union...a bunch of useless things..." Mentioning the name, Tandin's expression darkened considerably.

Both were naturally aware of Azure Dragon's recent antics, somewhat frustrated back then.

Out of nowhere, another organization had emerged in the interstellar space demanding attention.

Tandin was somewhat irate, "We might as well directly open this secret to the Star Alliance, to avoid any mishaps."

Upon hearing this, many people present changed their expressions, Alves glanced at him, "It's just one X Level Life Form has died; it's not worth it."

Tandin naturally understood, just felt constrained in the current situation.

Constantly restricted by Azure Dragon, they could only hold their ground here, unable to leave, truly frustrating.

"Then you deal with it."

Leaving a sentence, Tandin vanished from the scene,

Rafael couldn't help but offer a wry smile, apologetically saying, "Lord Alves, please forgive Lord Tandin, he..."

Before he could finish, Alves interrupted, speaking coldly, "I understand, you don't need to explain."

Rafael opened his mouth, then reluctantly closed it again.

Due to the High-level Life Form Union's notifications, and a series of previous events, there was unrest and unease throughout the interstellar space.

But soon, the Three Great Civilizations, the interstellar alliance, and the High-level Life Form Union jointly released a combined announcement.
