Chapter 623: Old 4399, Do You Want an Evil God or Not? (Part 2)
Lao Si looked at the manual and said.
"This doesn't seem to be a spell instability; it's the barrier being attacked."
Doctor Nile, being an old wizard, observed it for two seconds and noticed the clues.
"That's good. But not being able to see outside makes us quite passive."
Liu Zheng looked at Panda.
"Ah Bao, can you contact the Six Ding and Six Jia?"
He asked.
The White Coffin locked them inside but left the Six Ding and Six Jia outside.
"I'll give it a try."
Panda rummaged through the floral bundle for quite a while before finally pulling out a half-used incense stick.
"Has the Mixed Pill Sect become so poor?"
Liu Zheng squinted his eyes and said.
"In the mountains, you get nothing; having this much to accumulate is already good."
Panda rolled his eyes and said.
"Then take a look at what I have here?"
He pulled out the God Inviting Incense.
"Damn! How come you have everything?"
Panda stared more whites than blacks in his eyes.
First, he took out a Resentment Fish that could drive Ghost Cultivators crazy, and now a God Inviting Incense that could drive Divine Cultivators mad.
Seriously, who is the true Mystical Sect here?
"What did you call me?"
Liu Zheng narrowed his eyes.
"Hello, boss."
Faced with the temptation of the God Inviting Incense, Panda could only lower its noble head.
"Good. But I can't give you this one. That one you're using, I can buy you ten to eight pounds worth when we get back to the city."
He patted Panda's head and said.
After hearing the first part, Panda originally wanted to retort, but after hearing the latter part, it closed its mouth.
Not just ten or eight pounds, even ten or eight ounces would be enough for Panda to use till eternity.
Panda shook the incense stick, and the tip sparked into a flame.
"Where are the Six Ding and Six Jia?"
It asked loudly.
Panda asked three times but received no response.
Helplessly, it had to exhale another mouthful of elixir energy.
The incense stick instantly burned out, and a wisp of blue smoke rose and disappeared into the void.
"The Six Ding and Six Jia said their summoned forms have been destroyed and have returned to the Immortal Realm."
Panda closed its eyes and listened for a moment before speaking.
"How's the situation outside then?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"They said the first wave was mostly blocked, and the rest shouldn't be much of a concern."
Panda said again.
"That's good, then let's wait."
He nodded and said.
After waiting for a while, the White Coffin's vibrations gradually ceased.
"Is it over?"
Liu Zheng asked.
The crowd exchanged looks, and no one could answer him.
"Ah Bao, why don't you take a look outside?"
Liu Zheng tentatively said.
"Again me! You said I was just the bodyguard, but everything ends up being on me. I've already spat out elixir energy twice, and what you paid isn't enough to replenish my vitality."
Panda bristled.
"Hey, it's because you're capable that you do more work."
He felt a bit embarrassed after being said so.
"Once we get back to the city, I'll take you for a good meal and entertainment, and then go to the shops, pick whatever helps your cultivation."
He promised.
"Your tricks to deceive kids are exactly like my master's. I stopped believing those words at the age of two."
Panda rolled his eyes.
"I never deceive kids, nor pandas. Ask them; when have I ever broken my promise?"
"That's right; my boss's words are always firm, and he will fulfill his promise even if he has to swallow mountains or drink seas."
Niu Daji jumped out first to vouch for his boss.
"Well said, next time don't say anything."
Liu Zheng glared at him.
So many metaphors, yet he chose the most repulsive one; if not for the fact that it's injured, he would let it understand the principle that while you can eat anything, you can't say anything.
"Even if I believe you, I don't have a way to escape this coffin. If we break the formation and go out, doesn't matter who goes out, right?"
Panda shrugged.
What it said made sense, and Liu Zheng couldn't refute it.
Just as he was thinking about how to break the situation, Yaksha's voice came from outside.
"Humans, are you dead yet?"
Her tone was still troublesome, but Liu Zheng felt a bit affectionate at this moment.
"Even if your entire tribe died, I wouldn't."
So he returned warmly.
"How are things outside?"
"Why don't you come out and see for yourself?"
Yaksha said nonchalantly.
"Lao Si, can the White Coffin cancel manually?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"Yes, Mr. Liu. Actually, no need to cancel; it'll dissipate soon on its own."
Lao Si replied.
"What's going on?"
"Fuel ran out."
Lao Si pointed at the dashboard.
The gauge indicating fuel level had reached zero.
The fuel used by the explosion-proof vehicle naturally wasn't gasoline but high-energy fuel supplied internally by City Hall, not sold externally.
When the Ace delivered the vehicle, he filled up the tank, which was enough for normal driving for a year and a half.
After undergoing a series of fierce battles and initiating final defense measures, the tank finally hit zero.
Just as he was speaking, the last gauge flickered twice and then went dark, and the surrounding white walls dissipated accordingly.
"Look at this mess."
When Liu Zheng saw the outside scene, he couldn't help but let out a bitter smile.
The good news was the Mountain Bombing Team successfully bombed a mountain.
The bad news was the mountain bombed wasn't their target.
The entire Discontinued Mountain was almost leveled, leaving only scattered piles of rubble and dirt everywhere.
"Why do you look worse off than us?"
Liu Zheng asked Yaksha.
She originally wasn't wearing much, now it was even harder to say she was clothed. Her snow-white body was covered in scars, with a large and deep claw mark on her chest, almost gouging out her heart.
"The Shadow Realm isn't so easy to hide in."
Yaksha didn't elaborate; she pointed towards a dirt pile.
"My lord's divine enemy is over there."
"Isn't it dead yet?"
Liu Zheng frowned and said.
"God's vitality is far more tenacious than you imagine, mortal."
Yaksha said with some disdain.
"Indeed, it was quite troublesome when I killed a small god last time. In the end, it wasn't thorough; they said they'd resurrect in a hundred years."
He said feelingly.
"..."
Yaksha fell silent.
Even temporarily killing a small god was a feat she had never accomplished.
"Can you still fight?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"My life is like a candle in the wind, merely sustained by secret techniques. Once I witness you kill the divine enemy, I shall return to the great Lord of War's divine country."
Yaksha shook her head and said.
After using the Dark Magic so many times, even sacrificing her kin wasn't enough, and the attacks suffered in the Shadow Realm became the last straw.
"Since you haven't died yet, it's not that easy to die now. Doctor, hurry here; there's an emergency."
Liu Zheng shouted.
Bai San and Doctor Nile arrived upon hearing and started treating Yaksha.
Meanwhile, he picked up the Dragon Scale Blade and headed towards the dirt pile, pulling out a bunch of bottom card artifacts from the system space.
If things were like this, and the unknown god could still turn the tables, he'd accept it. Losing a life was no big deal; he still had another.
Reaching the dirt pile, Liu Zheng used the Dragon Scale Blade as a shovel, slicing away the dirt bit by bit.
After dozens of slices, the Divine Hand finally saw daylight again.
But in its current state, it had lost the initial nauseating and frightening feel.
The Divine Hand's swelling had completely disappeared; the trunk was reduced to a head and half an egg, and the arm only had the thumb, index finger, and half a ring finger left.
"ΓΔΘΞΠ..."
Unintelligible sounds entered Liu Zheng's mind once again, but the volume had weakened to nearly inaudible.
"Stop howling; I can't understand. Learn proper Mandarin in your next life before trying to be a god again."
He said coldly and raised the Dragon Scale Blade.
