Chapter 618: The Bare Doctor Nile (Part 2)
The Sun Power has always been a double-edged sword, capable of creating everything and destroying everything.
But Liu Zheng is not of the La Clan; he is rather a progeny of an alien god. Directly invoking the Ra's Divine Power within him would completely incinerate him into ashes.
However, the crown could channel the Ra's Divine Power within him, protecting him from being burned by the Sun Flame.
With Liu Zheng's healing ability, as long as he isn't burned to death on the spot, he can be saved.
The more thoroughly he's burned, the greater the chance of healing him.
"In the name of Ra Atum, God of the Sun, burn!"
Doctor Nile raised his scimitar and scepter, shouting loudly.
Gods often have many names, as does the Sun God Ra.
Different gods represent different divinities and different authorities.
Ra Atum is the god name of the Sun God Ra most closely reflecting the original divinity, useable only by the most beloved priest of God La, or divine punishment would ensue.
"Swish!"
The scimitar brushed against the tip of the staff, sparking a cluster of flames.
The sparks fell into Liu Zheng's eyes, and in the next second, flames started spouting from every pore of his body.
Doctor Nile was unconcerned, as it's virtually impossible for all pores to be blocked, and this slight leakage wouldn't affect the treatment's outcome.
But soon, two thick tongues of flame burst forth from beneath Liu Zheng.
"Oh no, I forgot about that!"
Doctor Nile was horrified.
He instructed the panda to block the seven orifices, forgetting that humans actually have eight, and men even have an extra one.
Before the flames could fully escape, Doctor Nile immediately tore off Liu Zheng's pants, then twisted the bandage into a medicinal stick and thrust it into his ninth orifice.
He then twisted another bandage into a small ball and forced it into Liu Zheng's eighth orifice.
"Do you have anything else to block with?"
Doctor Nile's expression was grave.
"Haven't you already blocked them?"
The panda curiously glanced over.
"Tsk!"
This mere human was larger than its own.
"It won't hold for long, soon it'll be burned away."
Doctor Nile shook his head.
"Then my go pieces aren't suitable either."
The panda said helplessly.
"Then I'll have to use the scepter to block it, and when he wakes up I'll say it was your idea. Do you think he'll roast you into a panda suckling pig?"
Doctor Nile threatened.
"Wow, you bandage zombie are too despicable!"
The panda said incredulously.
No wonder the master said it shouldn't venture down the mountain before forming its core; human nature below is too treacherous.
"Stop wasting time, hurry up!"
Doctor Nile urged.
"Alas, such a hard life I have."
The panda sighed, once again spitting out the Lesser Yang Radiance Banner.
It pointed a claw, and the Lesser Yang Radiance Banner flew under Liu Zheng, wrapping completely around his lower half.
The Lesser Yang Radiance Banner was refined by gathering Sunrise Power with Purple Cloud Vitality and Thousand-Year Silkworm Silk, perfect for resisting Sun Power.
Sure enough, with the Lesser Yang Radiance Banner in place, not a single spark emerged from Liu Zheng's lower body.
"My precious magical artifact, I have wronged you!"
The panda cried.
This Lesser Yang Radiance Banner was personally refined, like the other Lifebound Magical Artifact, the Lesser Yin Kwei Water Banner; both are essential tools for cultivation and dueling, now being used as a makeshift loincloth.
Luckily, the lifebound magical artifacts are in sync with its mind; otherwise, they'd rebel on the spot.
"Stop howling, I'll give you a strand of Sun God Power later."
Doctor Nile said helplessly.
"Oh, you're quite nice then."
The panda immediately stopped crying.
Although Sun God Power and Lesser Yang Power are not the same, they share a common origin with many learnable aspects.
"If I wasn't too nice, would this kid latch onto me?"
Doctor Nile looked down at Liu Zheng, concealing the glint in his eyes.
Although the animal imagery of God La doesn't include pandas, who says it can't?
The Sun Flame burned within Liu Zheng, intertwining flames manifesting an image of an eagle-headed humanoid, the most common depiction of the Sun God Ra,
Though his size didn't change, Doctor Nile knew the Sun Flame was slowly hollowing him out.
"Hiss hiss hiss!"
About ten minutes later, the golden cobra flicked its tongue again, this time not in threat but as a reminder.
"That should about do it, remove your things."
Doctor Nile said.
"Okay."
The panda eagerly removed the go pieces and the Lesser Yang Radiance Banner.
The Lesser Yang Radiance Banner was fine; the go pieces were already half-translucent from the Sun Flame.
But, QQ bouncy and with a soft center, looked quite appetizing.
Doctor Nile unwrapped all his bandages, leaving only those around his head.
He threw the bandages onto Liu Zheng, and they seemed alive, tightly wrapping him.
Soon, Liu Zheng was burning together with the bandages.
Doctor Nile quietly observed his body, now without the cover of bandages; it's been a long time since he saw his mummified form.
Dry skin and flesh, exposed bones, and opened thoracic and abdominal cavities with shriveled organs, their surfaces covered in golden runes.
These runes sustain his undying body, but once broken, he would find eternal rest.
Doctor Nile went all out to save Liu Zheng this time.
"Kid, don't let me down."
He murmured to the fire.
"Hiss hiss hiss!"
After who knows how long, the fire pit echoed with the golden cobra's hissing.
Doctor Nile reached into the fire pit, retrieved the crown, and placed it back on his head.
With the crown withdrawn, the flames gradually died, leaving only ashes behind.
Doctor Nile blew gently, the ashes parting to reveal Liu Zheng beneath.
"Phew~"
Doctor Nile breathed a sigh of relief.
Though his size shrunk by nearly nine-tenths, what matters is that he's alive.
"Kid, are you awake?"
He asked.
"I'm so hungry."
Liu Zheng's first words made his heart sink.
"And I'm so thirsty. Doc, did you bring any honey beer? Give me a couple of cups."
But Liu Zheng's second sentence eased Doctor Nile's heart.
"Didn't bring any; do you think this is a spring outing?"
Doctor Nile replied irritably.
"If you didn't bring any, then you didn't. Why so fierce? Without honey beer, get me some water."
Liu Zheng smacked his lips and said.
"Don't you have that Cold Spring Water? Just drink that."
"Yeah, right, with my current state, I'd turn into an ice statue after drinking that."
He pouted.
"Mr. Liu, I have some."
Bai San perceptively offered a small glass vial that looked like oral liquid.
Liu Zheng held the small glass vial, and its description immediately popped up.
"Name: Concentrated Ginseng and Ganoderma Tonic (Single-use)"
"Type: Item"
"Quality: Excellent"
"Effect 1: Restores a moderate amount of stamina upon use."
"Effect 2: Moderately enhances recovery, immunity, and sexual ability for the player for half an hour."
"Note: A tonic made from Centennial Ginseng, Centennial Ganoderma, and over a hundred precious herbs, the Bai Family's latest research result from beyond the Great Wall, not yet considered for external sale."
"Can it be taken out of the instance: Yes"
"Nice stuff."
His eyes lit up, and he unplugged the bottle and poured its contents into his mouth.
Though its taste was decent, it reminded him of the Calming and Nourishing Brain Liquid and Ginseng Formula Life Vein Drink.
"Is there more?"
Liu Zheng asked unabashedly.
"Uh...yes!"
Bai San hesitated briefly before responding powerfully.
Then, he retrieved a wooden box from the medicine chest and opened it to reveal small glass vials, precisely thirty including the one Liu Zheng drank.
"I painstakingly gathered this quantity, intending to use it as gifts to build connections."
Bai San said regretfully.
"Well, it just so happens that I'm the connection you need to build."
Liu Zheng boldly took the box and began consuming them one by one.
Within minutes, he had finished all the Concentrated Ginseng and Ganoderma Tonic.
"*Burp*~"
Liu Zheng let out a full belch.
His bulging stomach deflated visibly, while his physique swelled visibly.
