The Witcher – Uchiha Madara!

Chapter 235 - Secrets Revealed: The Soul Who Lived Two Lives.

[Chapter Size: 1900 Words.]

Third Person POV

Skellige.

"I see... So he was my father this whole time..." Ciri murmured with a voice full of sadness when she heard everything Madara had to say.

She was surprised when he started talking about things he had hidden for more than 10 years, information no one should know, not even her grandmother. But her surprise was soon replaced by anger and sorrow. Not at Madara, but at things she never imagined could be like this. Her father, the biological father she had a few faint memories of from her early years, was actually Emperor Emhyr, the same one who led the troops to destroy her home.

"Are you angry?" Madara asked, seeing her silence as he looked at the sky.

"No... I'm not angry at you, Madara. But I wish I had heard this earlier." She murmured.

"I don't think it would have been well received... you weren't ready for it yet." He said.

"Why not?" She retorted, though the sadness was still in her tone.

"Because I remember once you blamed me for the fall of your kingdom, when I said I knew it would happen, but I was never strong enough to change Cintra's fate." Madara spoke.

"That's true..." She came to the realization that she had done that and her sadness deepened. "I attacked you, I was angry and sad, and my reaction was to blame you for problems you had no control over... I said this back then, I'm sorry..." Ciri said.

"You know that doesn't matter anymore... It's been over five years since that happened and it's already forgiven." Madara said.

"You would really have left me back then?" She murmured, fearing the answer as she rested her chin between her knees.

"I wouldn't have abandoned you, I would have left you at the School of the Wolf. You would be safe there and receive proper training, and you'd be with Geralt, who takes care of you like a real father, not Emhyr, who killed your own mother and tried to kidnap you because of a prophecy that his son would be the conqueror of the world." Madara said. "After that, we would have gone our separate ways." He concluded.

"So it would have been like that... We would never see each other again?" She murmured.

"We would eventually meet again, but I doubt we would have the relationship we have today." He admitted.

"Why, Madara...?! You knew how I felt about you back then, I know I was foolish... I regret it, but still... I wish you hadn't given up on me so easily!" Tears began to stream from her eyes.

Ciri realized that hearing this from Madara was much more painful than finding out her father was Emperor Emhyr. She looked at Madara with eyes full of sorrow, thinking that he could have one day abandoned her.

Madara looked at her with a gaze of slight regret, perhaps the first he had ever shown in his life in this world. "I'm sorry." He admitted.

"Madara..." Ciri said nothing else besides his name before leaning against him and crying, relieving a bit of the pain from that memory upon hearing him apologize.

"I had someone I loved... But she always blamed me for the problems in our life... I lived a decade and a half hearing I was that. When you said that, that day... I decided I didn't want to go through that again..." He spoke slowly as Ciri pulled away from him with tears, but with a completely confused look.

"Who...?" She was speechless. Who did he love? What did he mean by a decade of living being blamed for problems? Ciri didn't understand anything.

"My mother..." Madara murmured.

"Your mother?!" Ciri made a face. "But she died with your father when you were five!"

"Actually, my mother from another world." He admitted.

"What do you mean?! Madara, how do you know so much about things that happened even before they happened, and other things that are still going to happen? You still have information stored about other events that will happen, don't you? I thought you were a seer at first, but then I wasn't sure, I don't think so... I always wanted to know..." She murmured, looking at him, seeing for the first time in his eyes a glimmer of sadness, which left Ciri stunned.

"Madara... You can tell me about it..." She said, running her hand along his arm gently, while a sound caught their attention from the sea, as Totó was diving in search of fish while they talked on the rocks of that part of the coast.

Madara remained silent for a few seconds with Ciri touching his arm while he watched Totó rise to the sky once more. "It's easier to show you than to try to explain." He said and looked into her eyes, opening the Sharingan.

Ciri saw darkness take over her vision, and suddenly she found herself in a different place. A sound caught her attention and she saw a boy playing. He must have been about six years old. But the place was very strange to Ciri, there was nothing she could identify with things she knew—it was as if they were in a different world.

"This is me..." Madara's voice made her nearly jump, appearing beside her as he watched the boy playing.

"You...? Madara, what's happening here?" Ciri murmured with some fear.

"I lived a life before I became Madara, Ciri. That boy... was me." He replied as Ciri stared at the boy pushing and pulling a toy car.

He had nothing to do with Madara, seeming happy and innocent—nothing like the Madara she met in the forest.

"You? So different!" She couldn't help commenting as her lips curved without her being able to control it, watching that scene and wanting to laugh.

"That's true." Madara said.

Then, heavy footsteps began to echo, and a woman appeared, surprising Ciri and even the boy.

"What did I say about playing at this hour?!" She said with a hostile tone.

"But mom... it's 7 PM!" The boy protested, a little scared.

"I don't care, I told you to go to bed!" She kept the same tone.

"Alright..." The boy murmured sadly, leaving the toy car aside and going to his bed.

"..." Ciri stood there, not understanding anything, while the woman, who looked about thirty, kept watching to see if he would really go. She picked up the toy car from the floor and threw it into a box.

"I could've had a much better life if I didn't have you..." She said before leaving the room and turning off the light.

This surprised Ciri, who saw that the woman viewed her own son as a burden, or an anchor.

"It's a silly scene, I know..." Madara commented with a sad smile, watching the boy go to bed. "But I don't want to show you worse things. My mother in that world... she blamed me for our father leaving, blamed me for the poor life we had, blamed me for anything that happened in her life."

"Madara..." Ciri didn't know what to say.

"I didn't want to go through that again..." He said.

Madara began to show other scenes from his life there. Ciri was quite surprised—a world without wars or monsters, without magic... where people lived their lives normally and without worry, eating better than the very kings of their world.

"What an incredible world..." Ciri murmured, watching the boy there, living his life as he grew up. Her Madara had a life that was strange to her; he wasn't powerful, he was a normal person, living a normal life. He went to school, had friends, had girlfriends... Which made Ciri jealous, even though her Madara was different from the teenager in the vision, he was still Madara.

However, his mother was always bitter, and as he had said, Ciri saw arguments where the woman insisted that his father had left because of him, that it was always his fault. Now Ciri understood—she remembered the cold look Madara had given her that day, as if she had done something horrible to him. Now it made sense... He had probably remembered his mother in that memory world...

"I'm sorry..." Ciri murmured with tears in her eyes as Madara stood by her side the whole time, watching his past life.

"It's alright... I don't blame you, and I know I was wrong back then. I just didn't want to live with someone who would blame me for all their problems when there's no one else to blame." Madara said.

"I will never do that, Madara. I won't be that kind of person to you. It wasn't your fault that Cintra fell, you were there fighting, you saved me and tried to save my grandmother... That's all that matters, and I'll never forget it." She hugged him tightly, and Madara returned the embrace.

"Now... I'm going to tell you how I knew about the events in Cintra, the Wild Hunt, and my knowledge of so many things in this world." Madara said.

He personally felt relieved to tell her all this, relieved to share his secret with someone else, not having to keep it all to himself anymore. It was refreshing to finally tell Ciri.

Ciri then saw, in the boy's room after he had become a teenager, while Madara guided her to the couch and turned on the video game.

The Witcher 3 appeared on the game's intro screen, with the animated image of Geralt meditating.

Ciri looked shocked.

"What is this?!" She exclaimed.

"You'll see. I'm getting the controller." Madara said as he pressed the button after picking up the object.

He began playing the game, and Ciri stood there frozen as she watched the game's introduction, with Geralt at Kaer Morhen talking to Yennefer, then speaking with Vesemir, and later with a young Ciri training.

But there was no Madara... Madara wasn't anywhere, there was no mention of him at any point in Kaer Morhen.

Madara controlled the less realistic Geralt with that controller, and Ciri was startled as he passed it to her. She pressed the buttons, realizing she could control Geralt.

The introduction ended with Geralt's dream, and later, Geralt and Vesemir were in White Orchard, looking for Yennefer.

Madara didn't answer any of Ciri's questions while he continued playing. He passed through White Orchard and reached the meeting with Emhyr after Yennefer appeared.

"Madara, what is this...?" She seemed a little frightened.

"This is a game, something invented in my world... All of it originally came from a writer who developed the story I know of your world." Madara said, holding her frightened hand.

"Are you saying that... me and everyone..." Ciri looked at him trembling.

"That you don't exist?" Madara asked as she nodded fearfully.

"Nonsense... I spent 12 years with you, Ciri. I know that I exist in your world. And I know you're real... I love you and I want you to be my wife. To me, you are very real, Ciri." Madara said, as she threw herself into his arms and kissed him through tears.

"Explain all of this to me, please... I need answers." Ciri still pleaded, and Madara accepted her request. He wanted to show the truth to his girl—it would be relieving even before they decided once and for all to bind their lives together forever.

I know it may sound exaggerated to talk about reincarnation, but Ciri should know about it. Like, she's the woman who's going to spend the rest of her life with him, she should be someone he shares his secrets with.
