The Witch Hat's Quest for Curse Curing Magic

Zap

Chapter 65 Zap

Back in the present, Aleshia was resting on a sturdy branch. She was engaged in exploring a new byproduct of her lightning. In the palm of her hand, a multicolored and lively spark danced and crackled with a mesmerizing brightness, creating a cacophony of detonations. Despite the commotion caused by the energetic spark, the surrounding area remained undisturbed by the loud noise. The area around the tree was isolated by a thick layer of water, which acted as a barrier created by Aleshia's water magic. This power effectively dampened the sound produced by the crackling spark, ensuring that it remained unheard by any curious monsters

"I suppose that even though I trained with Kailey using a mixture of her magic and my own, there will still be unique qualities to them that will never discovered until they have a target," Aleshia said as she closed her palm, dispelling the spark of lightning. Now confident in using her magic, Aleshia hesitantly dropped from the tree, rolling twice to cancel her falling momentum.

Several items spilled out of Aleshia's clothes as she rolled. These items were different variations of her newly refined lightning bombs. The bombs were strewn about after a rough landing. Aleshia felt the emptiness when she got up. She then realized that the explosives she was carrying had fallen out onto the ground. As she picked up all the items that fell from her clothes, she carefully placed them back in her pockets. After confirming she had everything, she started walking back towards the ruins, now occupied by wolves. Equipped with the knowledge of several new, unique effects, she prepared herself for what lay ahead.

Aleshia was near the outskirts of where her last battle took place. It seemed the wolves had forgotten their previous encounter and were now roaming around the ruined entrance. She spotted Lucia sitting in the shade of a tree. As she focused on her, Aleshia used her lightning power to create a fast bolt of harmless lightning, which she named [Zap]. The name was inspired by the many times she had been shocked by the lightning before she mastered the precise control of it.

The harmless lightning quickly struck the witch hat. Startled, the hat awoke feeling as though something had pricked it. Lucia looked around to find the source of the prick but found nothing to blame. As she was about to leave, she felt another prick. Lucia started to worry about the unexplained pain. This time, she felt an even deeper pain with the third prick. Finally, activating her senses, she realized the attacks contained Aleshia's mana signature.
