Your Name Is Lucia
Chapter 49 Your Name Is Lucia
Aleshia glanced at the witch hat resting on her head. The two of them began to discuss coming up with a name. "I don't see the appeal in saying a man's name. I mean, sure, it's short and to the point, but girls' names sound delicate and have many ways to say them that almost always sound pretty," the witch hat began listing qualities that names had, which were previously unknown to Aleshia. She let the hat drone on for a while. Soon, she interrupted the hat again, asking what type of name it wanted and after a short discussion the hat responded saying.
"I know what type of name I want, Aleshia. I want a girl's name." After several moments of thoughtful silence thinking up a name for the hat, Aleshia declared the witch hat's new name, "From now on, your name shall be Lucia, or Lucy for short." The witch hat, now known as Lucia, was delighted by its new name. It leaped off Aleshia's head and started bouncing joyfully in the grass. Lucia, filled with glee, began to leap around the grass, happily chanting its new name: "Lucia, Lucia, Lucia."
After some time Lucia's initial excitement over her new name dwindled, she gradually became aware that she was no longer resting on Aleshia's head, and neither was she linked to Aleshia. With this realization, an unsettling feeling crept over her as a terrifying thought dawned on her. In her unease, Lucia cautiously turned her head, half-expecting to be pulled back into the ruin she had just left. Due to her apprehension, Lucia remained motionless, her gaze fixated on the entrance. After several tense moments, she let out a relieved sigh as she realized her fears were unfounded. Now composed but still wary, she called out to Aleshia, her voice tinged with anxiety, "Aleshia, I've had enough time to myself. You can come back now." However, to Lucia's confusion, there was no sign of Aleshia.
A few minutes earlier, Aleshia had been watching the witch hat near the ruin's entrance. She couldn't help but notice the genuine joy it displayed upon receiving its new name. Not wanting to interrupt its moment of happiness, Aleshia decided to step back and explore the area around the ruins. She realized she had only taken a quick look at the surroundings before being captivated by the beautiful view of nature. Aleshia walked towards the entrance she had come through and noticed faint traces of illusion runes. After examining it closely, Aleshia discovered various types of runes layered over the illusion runes. She concluded that a powerful magic user had concealed the ruins, as carving an assortment of intricate runes atop one another would require significant skill and precision. Additionally, the fact that the place had remained hidden for centuries supported her suspicions.
