Chapter 50 Green Wolf
Aleshia had just finished her search and was heading back to where Lucia was when she suddenly felt the presence of a monster nearby. "Wait, how could there be a monster so close by? Was it attracted by someone or something...?" she muttered. Aleshia quickly ran to a nearby bush and waited for the monster to approach that spot. Just as planned, the beast soon came into view. A green wolf appeared in Aleshia's view, and she muttered. "From the looks of it, it seems to be a variation of a wolf, but I haven't seen this type before. Judging by the type of pressure coming off of it, it seems to have a lot of wind and nature element energy stored within itself. If I were to fight it, I don't believe I could beat it without harming myself, or rather Kailey's body." Aleshia silenced her breathing, not knowing if it could sense her breaths.
The green wolf was slowly skulking toward where Aleshia was hiding. It used the wind to muffle its footsteps. Just as the wolf reached Aleshia, it suddenly turned its head toward Lucia's location. Just as if it had spotted another prey. It quickly concealed itself in the tall grass, blending in with the color of the forest. 'Oh no, isn't that where I left Lucia? I got to divert its attention before it reaches her,' Aleshia thought. She crawled to another set of bushes, causing them to rustle gently. That caught the attention of the green wolf. Its ears perked up, and it swiftly jumped toward the noise
Aleshia prepared to use her mana for the wolf's oncoming attack. At that moment, a rabbit suddenly intervened, kicking the wolf. Aleshia couldn't help but be surprised, quickly regretting getting distracted. She refocused on the task and cast [Lightning Bolt], sending a beam of light that paralyzed the airborne wolf. However, as the lightning bolt passed the rabbit, one of the lightning bolts branched off, striking the rabbit. To her surprise, the rabbit and the bolt of lightning suddenly disappeared.
Aleshia quickly scanned the area to locate the rabbit when she heard the wolf cries. Recognizing the danger, she made a decision and quietly approached the immobilized wolf. Not having any weapon in hand, she picked up a nearby fallen branch and repeatedly stabbed the wolf, channeling mana into the branch to increase its toughness, and successfully killed the wolf within a few seconds.
