Synchronizing
Chapter 81 Synchronizing
Aleshia was filled with anticipation, hoping that the plan would work. As she waited for the ball of dirt to fall and strike one of them, she suddenly remembered that it wouldn't continue to descend unless she touched it. When Aleshia realized this, she couldn't help but let out a light chuckle. She picked up her stick, approached the lump of dirt, and gently struck it.
When the stick touched it, the ball of dirt continued to fall, but thanks to Aleshia's intervention, the ball changed direction and headed toward the green wolf instead of the witch hat. Despite the change in direction, it retained its speed due to its previous momentum. Upon impact with the wolf, the ball of dirt crumbled into pieces. However, the green wolf showed no reaction and remained still.
"Sorry," Aleshia squeaked out. "Right, that was dumb of me to assume that strategy would work," Aleshia muttered, feeling downcast. As she moped about, a thought suddenly crossed her mind: "I might be able to interact with her if I simply do that!" With that thought in mind, she began walking towards the witch hat.
When she arrived in front of the witch hat, she bent down to pick the hat up. Then, she placed it on her head. After a while, the witch hat unconsciously synchronized its mana to connect with Kailey's body, aligning with her brain's processes. As she felt Lucia synchronizing with Kailey's body, Aleshia noticed that the world around her started to shift and speed up.
Aleshia stood in awe, taking in her surroundings as time seemed to slow down before accelerating again. While she enjoyed the sight, a thunderous noise assaulted her ears, causing her to bend over and cover her ears to save them from the sound. Aleshia turned her gaze toward the source of the sound and witnessed multiple beams of light darting across the sky. Each time she blinked, the lights vanished, only to reappear in a different location a moment later.
"Huh, why am I up here!?" A voice exclaimed, coming from above Aleshia's head. When she recognized it, she excitedly cried, "Lucia, you're back and not motionless anymore!" Aleshia went to grab the Lucia but hesitated. "Lucia, don't get off my head." "Huh, but why not, and what do you mean?" Lucia asked, leaning to one side. "I fear if you leave my head, you will become motionless again," she desperately explained while waving her hands in a desperate attempt to convince Lucia to stay put.
