The Witch Hat's Quest for Curse Curing Magic

Soul Transformation Part 2

Chapter 34 Soul Transformation Part 2

Aleshia understood Kailey's explanation and attempted to replicate the actions Kailey had described. She thought about all the animals she had encountered. At first, Aleshia tried to remember her interactions with intelligent beasts and monsters, but Aleshia couldn't recall feeling any attachment. Then, she remembered the common household pets of nobles she had encountered during the mundane social events she had to attend - some being dogs and others cats - but Aleshia still didn't feel the same emotional attachment that Kailey had described for the cat. Finally, she remembered the animal she had cared for during her adventures in the world.

The animal she had been most fond of was her horse, which she had been with since childhood. It had helped her traverse the world and had always been by her side. The feeling of fondness emanated from Aleshia's soul as she reminisced. Soon, her soul slowly began to morph into a small-sized horse. Kailey watched in amazement as Aleshia transformed, imagining how she had transformed.

While Aleshia transformed, she carefully observed the process, mentally noting every detail. She was determined to remember how it felt to transform so she could do it again if necessary. Once the transformation was complete, Aleshia found herself with four limbs. She quickly adjusted to the feeling of standing on those four limbs. After this, Aleshia tested her new form's capabilities, checking to see if they matched or exceeded those of a regular horse.

She found the transformation appeared to be around 3-4 years old. She then realized the body she had transformed into wouldn't solve the main problem. The soul power within would only last for a short time. She realized that the spiritual body she had created would only delay the inevitable unless she could inhabit a physical body. With these thoughts in mind, she asked the witch hat if it had any corpses she could inhabit. But before she could speak, she was interrupted by the witch hat.

The witch hat, patiently waiting to speak, finally found its chance and spoke up. "It seems both of you are familiar with each other and require bodies to inhabit. How about we allow Kailey, the original owner of the body on the table, to return to her own body and the other soul to try to inhabit the golem I prepared in case something unexpected happened," said the witch hat in an unsure manner.
