The Walking Dead: reborn as Carl

Chapter 136: Chapter 139 Worth it

The stars are twinkling and the moon is like a crescent.

It looks like the weather will be good tomorrow.

Carl leaned against the armored vehicle and looked up at the night sky.

Carl actually likes this feeling very much.

Being alone, looking at the beautiful scenery, it doesn't have to be very beautiful, as long as it is not those hateful zombies, that's enough.

In fact, what is important is not the scenery, but the state. This peaceful state allows Carl to have enough time and space to think.

Of course, this state is enough occasionally.

The crescent moon is covered by dark clouds, and now it is truly dark.

Karl raised his eyebrows slightly, but didn't move and narrowed his eyes.

I don't know how much time has passed.

"Carl."

A voice that sounded familiar woke up Carl, who was half asleep. He turned around and saw it was Pete.

Pete smiled as he handed Carl his notebook and pen, "I drew some from memory, but I'm not 100% sure of the accuracy."

Karl took it and nodded, "Thank you, you've worked hard."

"It's just a small matter. Don't be so polite." Pete said with a smile.

Peter didn't mean to leave, Karl raised his eyebrows slightly, "Anything else?"

"Carl, you are weird. Well, it doesn't matter. You once said that you would talk to me when you have the chance. So is the chance now?" Pete restrained his smile and looked at Carl seriously.

Karl frowned slightly, thought for a moment and said, "Wait until the prison is completely cleaned up."

"Is that so?" Pete muttered to himself, nodded, and was about to turn and leave.

"Pete, please call Sean over for me, sorry for the trouble." Carl opened his notebook.

"certainly."

Carl did not respond. He looked at the floor plan drawn by Pete. Although he wanted to talk to Pete, now was not the right time.

Carl is sure that someone will die while cleaning up the prison, and he doesn't know who it will be. If Pete is dead, then it would be a waste of time to say more now.

What Pete drew was not complicated. On a page of the notebook, there was first a rectangle about the same size as the chapter, with the word "wall" marked on it.

Inside this rectangle are cubes of different sizes, which represent buildings.

The largest one is naturally the prison area, and the second largest one is a dormitory building, which is the dormitory for prison guards, including cooks and other personnel.

The third largest building is an auditorium, perhaps a place for prisoners to undergo ideological reform, learn things, and occasionally watch a movie.

There are also many other smaller buildings, such as libraries, warehouses, and many small buildings have no signs. It seems that Pete could not tell what they are used for just by looking at the appearance.

After having a rough idea in mind, Carl put the notebook on the hood of the armored vehicle.

This is a normal prison, with many buildings and complete functions. The original drama only filmed one prison area, which may be due to the shooting location or there may be too few people.

There is no need to go to other places, and they have not been cleared out. There are only a few people there, and it is indeed unsafe to disperse further.

But it seems that the prisoners here have a good life? There is no workshop.

"Carl, what do you want from me?" Sean came.

Karl glanced at the cigarette in Sean's mouth and said lightly, "Second-hand smoke is very harmful to pregnant women."

"Of course I know, that's why I'm smoking now that your mother is not around." Sean laughed.

Carl nodded and handed the notebook to Sean, "See if it's very different from what you remember."

While Sean was looking at his notebook, Carl glanced at Beth's watch on his wrist. It was eight o'clock.

Soon Sean raised his head and said, "It should be fine. It's almost there. At the current rate, it may take another two or three days to finish cleaning."

Carl nodded. He had brought enough food with him, so it wouldn't be a problem to stay for a few days. "What I want to tell you is about the survivors in the prison area."

"What's wrong?" Sean asked.

Carl said, "They are in the cafeteria in the prison area. We can absorb them into our team when the time comes. They are all good fighters, but you can't be completely defenseless against them. Let's bring them out when the time comes."

Sean nodded and asked, "Do we need to clean up the prison area first? My plan is to put the prison area last, after all, there are definitely the most zombies in the prison area."

"No, they still have food, so they will be fine for a few days. The prison area is indeed difficult to clean, so you have to be extremely careful then." Carl said.

"Well, I'll keep an eye on it. Anything else?"

"Gone."

"So Carl, are you going to go wash up? They're boiling water."

"Boiling water?"

"Well, we found a water source not far from the prison. We also found the explosion-proof armor you mentioned. We have to clean the explosion-proof armor before we can wear it."

"Of course, being able to wash up is indeed a pleasant surprise, but as for the armor, Sean, how many sets did you find? In any case, you and Moldariel must each get one first."

"It's quite a lot. I'll look for it tomorrow. It shouldn't be a problem for everyone to have one set. Come on, I'll take you to wash up."

"Um."

After a simple wash, Carl returned to the armored vehicle. As for the others, Sean had to keep watch, while Moore and Daryl would not sleep in the armored vehicle.

Andrea was cleaning the armor with the others.

Others don't have to sleep in the armored vehicles. When Moore and Daryl came here for the first time, they left two vehicles here.

So now Carl is the only one in the armored vehicle.

Carl took off all the extra things on his body and put them in the drawer in front of him. He did not take out the holster and threw the Last Eagle in as well.

Then he leaned back on the table and chair and closed his eyes.

Closing your eyes does not necessarily mean sleeping, it can also mean thinking, and such thinking can help people fall asleep quickly.

But Carl had insomnia tonight. It was not until the second half of the night when Sean came back that Carl fell into a drowsy sleep.

There's no way. After getting used to the soft big bed and Beth next to me, it's really hard to accept suddenly changing to a seat.

Although he went to bed a little late, Carl's biological clock did not fail. When he opened his eyes, his first reaction was to look to his side, but there was no one there.

I looked at my watch again. It was about 6:20. I looked out the car window. It was still dark and the bonfire not far away was still burning.

There were already quite a few people sitting around the campfire.

Carl took everything he needed with him, then got out of the car and had a simple wash before having breakfast. After all this, the sky began to brighten.

Sean and his group also started to move forward. Andrea went up to the watchtower, and Carl walked between two barbed wire fences with a steel bar in his hand.

There are eleven people, including Sean and the other three, and there are eight more people. I don't know how many will die today and how many will remain in the end.

However, as long as Sean and the other two were not dead, Carl didn't care if the others died. If he could exchange their deaths for a cleaned up prison, it would actually be quite worthwhile.

Thinking of this, Carl couldn't help but curl his lips slightly, took out the Glock, shot a zombie to death, put the Glock back, and muttered;

"Your sacrifice is worth it."
