Chapter 127: Chapter 130 Integration
"Karl, what are you standing there for? Do you want to join us for some food?"
The one who spoke was Hershel. Hershel was sitting in the main seat facing the door, so he was the first to notice Carl. After hearing Hershel's words, others noticed Carl.
"I've already eaten, you guys eat first." Carl nodded slightly to everyone.
As for the fact that he was ready to leave, Carl hesitated for a moment and decided to talk about it later, preferably in private.
If there are too many people, the situation will be difficult to control, and Carl cannot pay attention to the psychological activities of multiple people at the same time.
"Carl, why did you come back so early today?" Lori put down the celery soup, turned around and asked.
As a rule, Carl would come back around lunch time. If he came back later, he would go straight to lunch. If he came back earlier, he would either ask Hershel some questions or spend time with Beth.
"I have something to do today. You should eat first. Don't disturb you because of my arrival. I'll go upstairs first." Carl said.
"Okay, go ahead." Lori smiled.
Lori felt something about Carl and Beth, but she wasn't too sure. She just felt inexplicably happy.
At least Carl has no one to accompany him, and he won't feel lonely because of his relationship with Sean.
Although Lori did not deliberately ignore Carl, Carl was somewhat deliberately staying away from Lori, which made Lori feel uncomfortable.
Fortunately, they still live under the same roof, have a little life in her belly, and Sean exists, so Lori doesn't worry too much about it.
Carl went up to the second floor, opened the door skillfully, and walked into Beth's bedroom, or rather, it was now Beth and his own bedroom.
Although it was quite outrageous when you think about it carefully, Carl laughed. It was indeed outrageous, living in the bedroom of an unmarried girl, under the nose of her father.
Beth was still asleep, lying quietly in bed with her eyes closed, hugging the quilt.
Carl looked at it for a moment and smiled.
Then he turned his attention to the layout of the room. After nearly two months, Carl had become very familiar with this bedroom.
A burgundy wooden dressing table, an oval mirror, a matching bench, and Beth's various skin care products, which were actually not many, only four or five bottles.
As well as two of his own notebooks and a pen that originally belonged to Herschel.
There were several cartons of milk stacked next to the dressing table. The top carton was unpacked. Carl's eyes continued to move, and next came the square window.
The small window brought sunlight and moonlight into the room, and also allowed Carl and Beth to see the snow and rain scenes through it.
Then there was a bedside table, a small table lamp, a candle, a cup of water, and two magazines of my own.
There are still many familiar things, such as the chandelier on the ceiling, Beth's wardrobe...
Carl was familiar with everything in this room, so familiar that it couldn't be more familiar.
"Carl, what are you doing?" Beth woke up after an unknown period of time, sat up from the bed, glanced at Carl who was standing there blankly, and shrank back into the quilt.
"It's okay." Carl smiled and turned his gaze to Beth's still sleepy face, "Are you going to get up?"
"No way." Beth turned over and lay on the side of the bed where Carl usually slept. He hugged Beth and closed his eyes again.
Carl smiled helplessly, and guessed that Hershel and the others should have finished their meal, so Carl went downstairs again.
Indeed, it was over, and Lori and Maggie were sitting on the couch chatting, the others no longer in the living room.
"Carl, would you like to come over and sit with us for a while?" Lori saw Carl walking down the stairs.
"Sorry, Mom, I'm afraid it's not possible now. Is Hershel in the study?" Carl said.
"He's not in the study. He just went out for a walk. Maybe you can see him if you go out now." Maggie said.
"Okay, thank you." Carl nodded and walked out. "I'll be leaving first."
After going out, Carl saw Hershel's figure not far away. He was not alone, there was a familiar figure, Dale.
Two elderly people of similar age may have a lot of common topics. At least now they seem to be having a good conversation.
Carl walked closer, "As much as I hate to bother you, Hershel, Dale."
"Haha, but you've already disturbed me, haven't you?" Hershel laughed.
"Good morning, little Carl." Dell also greeted with a smile.
Two very kind old people.
"Good morning, Dell." Carl greeted politely.
"So, Carl, who are you looking for?" Hershel smiled.
Carl looked at Hershel and hesitated.
"So should I step away?" Dell asked with a smile.
Carl shook his head, "No, you don't have to. Although this matter needs to be told to Hershel, it also concerns you, Dale, so you'd better listen to it as well."
"Come on, Carl, procrastination is not your style," Hershel said.
Carl nodded. "Herschel, do you remember what I told you? About moving away from the farm? Now that Moore and the others have been to that location, it seems there is no problem at the moment. Perhaps we should prepare to move."
The smile on Hershel's face disappeared instantly, and his expression seemed a little dull.
Dale was stunned for a moment, then asked in confusion, "Wait, Carl, we are leaving? Why didn't anyone tell me in advance?"
"This..." Karl didn't know how to answer this question. In fact, there were many things that Dell didn't know, so Karl could only say, "Sorry."
"You didn't think it was necessary to tell me, did you?" Dale looked at Carl.
