The Walking Dead: reborn as Carl

Chapter 126: Chapter 129 Connection

The rising sun at around seven o'clock heralds the official start of a new day.

The early morning in late winter and early spring is still a little chilly, but fortunately there is no fog today.

The sunlight could fall directly on Carl without any obstruction, which made Carl feel a little warmer.

It was considered a walk, but my steps were unconsciously lingering nearby.

Holding a handkerchief in his hand, he carefully wiped the Glock that had been disassembled into parts.

But his eyes were fixed on the only road connecting the farm.

"Carl, are you up so early?" Sean stretched his muscles and walked behind Carl.

"It's getting late." Carl put away his handkerchief and began to assemble the Glock.

"Maybe it won't be long before you can catch up with me in assembly speed." Sean stretched his arms and said.

"Yeah." Carl nodded and put the loaded Glock back into the holster.

"Have you had breakfast?" Sean asked.

"Eat it. I try to maintain the healthiest habits so that I can grow faster." Carl walked forward slowly.

Sean followed Carl and soon arrived at the wire fence. Carl held the fence with both hands, leaned forward slightly, and looked into the distance.

Sean raised his eyebrows slightly, "Karl, are you worried about Moore and the others?"

"Fortunately, they sent it out in the early morning of the 22nd, which is about the same time now. Today is the 25th, and exactly three days have passed." Carl said calmly.

"Karl, you remember it clearly. I'm afraid not many people remember the date now. But three days is not a long time. You don't need to worry too much. Maybe tonight or tomorrow, they will come back with good news."

"Well, I know, I'm not too worried. Sean, have you counted the weapons and ammunition?" Carl said without looking back.

"Yeah." Sean nodded, "Moll and his ten men took away eight rifles, a sniper rifle, one person was equipped with a pistol, and the only grenade launcher was also taken away.

More than 3,000 rounds of ammunition, which is already half of our total. With such a powerful firepower configuration, they are safe.

As for the rest of the camp, there are only five rifles besides mine, and the sniper rifle in Andrea's hand, and all the bullets added up to only about two to three thousand."

"Andrea?" Carl raised his eyebrows slightly and glanced at Sean.

Sean didn't feel anything wrong, nodded and said, "She has a talent for shooting just like you. I intend to train her to be a sniper in our team."

Carl nodded and stopped worrying about Andrea. Judging from the current situation, nothing would go wrong between Sean and Andrea.

Carl can see that Sean loves Lori very much. Although Lori is pregnant, based on the current situation, Sean shows no signs of cheating.

After all, they are together day and night, if there is something wrong with Sean, Carl can see it. As for why he should care about this, Carl doesn't know.

Seeing that Carl didn't respond, Sean thought for a moment and said, "Carl, did Hershel and the others agree to leave with us?"

Carl frowned slightly, "It's hard to say. Even I have developed feelings for this place after living here for a few months, let alone Hershel who has lived here for decades."

"Indeed, this place is really nice. Carl, do we have to leave?" Sean asked.

"Sean, it's a must." Carl's attitude was firm.

"Well, I hope the place you mentioned is safe enough for Judith to grow up safely."

"Yes, I will." Carl's eyes suddenly narrowed as he stared ahead, an uncontrollable joy overflowing from him.

On the road directly ahead, a small black dot appeared in sight and soon became clearer as it got closer.

There were two of them, a black SUV and a motorcycle.

"Carl, you see, surprises always come so suddenly." Sean couldn't help but curl his lips slightly.

It was Moore and the others who came back. Daryl was driving a motorcycle alone. The black SUV had a roof so it was hard to see who was driving it.

But if Daryl is there, Maul must be there too.

Carl and Sean opened the wire fence, and the off-road vehicles and motorcycles drove into the farm and stopped in a wider area on the side.

After closing the wire fence, Carl and Sean came to the motorcycles and off-road vehicles.

Daryl had already gotten off the motorcycle and nodded slightly to Carl and Sean.

"Is there any accident this time?" Sean asked.

"Fortunately, I didn't meet any living people," said Daryl.

At this time, the door of the SUV opened, and Moore got out of the car, followed by others. In addition to Moore and Daryl, there were three other people, Pete, Zack, and Bruce.

"Moir, how is it?" Carl asked.

"Damn it, there really is a prison. What else can we do?" Moore said with a smile. "We went in, and there was no one there. But there were quite a few zombies. We wasted a whole day cleaning them up."

"Are all the others still in prison?" Carl raised his eyebrows slightly.

"Well, four, and one died." Moore curled his lips, not knowing whether he cared or not.

"What do you think of the prison's terrain and defensive capabilities?"

Carl didn't care about the dead man. Maybe he could ask his name later and then cross his name out from the notebook, but he couldn't care about him now.

"It's quite big and quite nice, but we've only cleared the zombies in the grass and square outside. The zombies in the cell area haven't been cleared yet," said Daryl.

When it comes to serious business, Daryl is more reliable. Although he doesn't talk much, it's better than More's nonsense.

"Well, let's get ready and move over. We can clean up together later. There's no rush. You guys arrived at this time, so you didn't rush back overnight, did you?"

Carl noticed that Mor yawned.

"No, we set out early and it's really not far. With the experience we had going there, it only took us two or three hours to get back." Daryl said lightly.

"Shit, you woke me up when I wasn't even fully asleep yet. I don't know why you were in such a hurry to come back." Moore said to Daryl with dissatisfaction.

"Thank you for your hard work this time, Moore, Daryl, thank you, and Zach Pitt, Bruce, I will go and notify the others first."

Carl smiled, waved, and turned away.

Surprisingly, nothing happened. Well, surprisingly, Karl thought there would definitely be an accident, but it is always a happy thing that things go so smoothly.

After Carl left, Sean started talking to Moore.

When Karl returned to the small building, his smile instantly disappeared, because trouble was about to begin.

Open the door. Well, now Karl no longer has the habit of knocking on the door. He just goes back to his own home casually.

Perhaps this cannot be called casual, but rather a manifestation of integration.

It was almost eight o'clock. Except for Beth who stayed in bed, everyone else, including Lori, was already eating breakfast at the dining table.

As for Carl, he had already eaten. Carl's breakfast time was earlier than others, and he usually just ate some bread and milk casually.

If Beth wakes up early and wants to eat breakfast, Carl will fry two eggs and make a salad or a sandwich.

In the future, this kind of life will be gone, and Carl felt a little uncomfortable when he thought about it.
