The Village Disciples

Chapter 37: Vol. 1: Chp. 37 Aura's Clash {Pt. 7}

Not too far away from the chaos that both rivaling classes have caused, Mr. Oshieru and Akushon were seen standing on top of seemingly the highest point of the training field, getting a perfect view of what is ensuing within said training field.

"Funny." Mr. Oshieru abruptly stated, making Mr. Akushon look in his direction.

"What is?" Mr. Akushon then asked, raising a brow to further express his confusion.

"It's funny that three of your students have yet to present themselves. Half of your class is already proving to be enough of a struggle alone." Mr. Oshieru observed, answering Mr. Akushon's confusion in the process.

Mr. Akushon didn't immediately respond, turning his head and feeling his red headband that was tied to his head flail in the wind. Looking back down to the training field and observing for himself. "Class 1AB certainly is in a bad position." Akushon finally agreed, his eyes skimming over class 1AB's fruitless attempts.

Mr. Oshieru exhaled a tired sigh, looking down and closing his eyes in the process. "Well, once those ants reach up to those four, the final two members of my class will most likely get out as well." Oshieru proceeded to say, looking back up with open eyes.

"Do you not have much hope for your class, Oshieru?" Mr. Akushon questioned, not bothering to look in Oshieru's direction.

"Well-- They're semi-good kids. Since the advent of the school year, I reviewed their skills in different predicaments. One-on-one combat, I also attempted to see how well they can sense enemy warriors sneaking up on them-- sadly, some things didn't go as planned. Their current lag in the year when compared to the rest is certainly noticeable, but it is slightly by the Academy's choice. They need time, not too much, but enough for us to learn how they can grow." Oshieru explained, adding his reasoning afterward.

"Hmm." Mr. Akushon hummed placidly, signifying his acknowledgment of the situation.

Now as both teachers sit in the silence up on top of a towering structure, they suddenly see a bright like illuminate near the students.

*BOOM*

Witnessing the giant beam, the teachers also took notice of the earlier impending ants' decrease in numbers as they were dissipating in surging rates.

"Huh, I wonder who could've done that," Oshieru said in a voice laced with sarcasm, focusing his attention on where the beam was seemingly expelled from.

Mr. Akushon seemed to have caught onto Oshieru's tone, turning to look at him in surprise and brimming curiosity. "How can one of your students expel a beam of such size as a first-year!? I thought you said they were behind?" Akushon urgently questioned, his eyes reading all of Oshieru's body movements to detect any lies.

Mr. Oshieru only kept his focus on the training field, but then responded to Akushon after making him sit in his own silence for roughly a minute. "Tanjo Nozomu; My most concerning student. He has yet to identify his own aura print but manages to maintain the strongest magic with the most longevity I've ever witnessed a first-year do. Also, that yellow tint within his beam is something to question as well."

"Well, by those means, I suppose it's right to assume that you're prioritizing his control on magic before any other lessons- right?" Mr. Akushon queried, still attempting to grasp the concept of a simple first-year obtaining such power.

"I hope you remember our lessons from when we were in the academy, Akushon-- There is a fine line when differentiating strength and power. What's even more important is using it properly."

Akushon merely glanced at Oshieru once more, then resuming back to viewing the match between the rivaling classes.

"TANJO!?"

Returning to the feuds occurring between class 1AB and 1AR, we can see Tanjo stumbling out from between two small structures that he was using as cover.

Tanjo then parted his lips, looking at his class in preparation for saying something. "RUN, NOW!" Or shouting instead.

That seemingly broke the previously stranded classmates out of their shock, making them look around and notice the severe lack of red magic-filed ants, then running.

Panning back to the walnut-haired girl, she seemed to be in a daze by the brightly illuminated beam, then forcing herself back to reality. "KURORU! GET THE REST OF THE CLASS!" She then shouted out the familiar name again, alerting everyone in the vicinity.

As Tanjo heard the walnut-haired girl call out to something or someone, he remembered a specific blonde. 'Where's Naderamu?' He silently questioned, hastily looking around the open field that now obtained a very burned and destroyed ground. 'She was just over there at the end of this area distracting them, now where is she?'

Shortly after Naderamu made her presence known to the rivaling class by shouting out openly, she attempted to escape by blending back into the shadows of the buildings and structures of the combat field.

As she was sprinting back to where she came from, three long and red arrows were seen planting themselves in front of her, halting her sprint. 'Arrows?' Naderamu mentally questioned with a fearful expression.

"Hey! Stand down, now!" A new masculine voice suddenly called out, making Naderamu look onto a rooftop of a building right next to her, spotting a male student.

Naderamu immediately noted the red headband wrapped tightly around his head. But something else that she noticed was his eyes glowed a dim reddish hue behind a pair of ink-black glasses, taking the form of crosshairs, as well as the massive red crossbow the student was clutching onto.

'Shit! Why the hell does every student of the other class have some overpowered ability!?' Naderamu mentally fretted, still gazing at the armed student in front of her.

"I advise that you cooperate with me. If you do, you will be exempt from any painful procedures!" The glasses-wearing student informed, using a voice that could only be described as stern.

As the glasses-wearing students' warning reached Naderamu's ears, she immediately caught on to what he was saying. 'He expects me to just surrender? Hell no! That be embarrassing and playing the role of a damsel in distress! I refuse!' Naderamu mentally yelled angrily.

"If you d-" The glasses-wearing student tried to speak but got abruptly interrupted by Naderamu tossing three shuriken's in his direction.

*FWOOSH, FWOOSH, FWOOSH*

The glasses-wearing student was barely able to dodge the incoming shurikens, getting a cut on both of his sleeves. Blood then trickled down his arms.

He then spotted Naderamu jumping over the previously shot arrows in the ground and running away. The glasses-wearing student decided to chase after her.

'Damnit, I got distracted in my dialogue!' The glasses-wearing student cursed, angered at his own inanity.

As Naderamu was running throughout and in between the surrounding buildings and structures, she noticed that shadows that resembled arrows were closing in on her. 'Shit!'

Naderamu then turned sharply, hitting a corner and running in a new direction as the previously flying arrows landed and planted themselves into the ground.

The glasses-wearing student could then be seen hopping from the rooftops of the buildings, traversing throughout the combat field by following Naderamu. He then shot another set of arrows, the arrows raining down and either getting stuck in a wall of a building or the ground.

'Grrr, I need to finish this quickly. I have no clue if my teammates need my assistance!' The glasses-wearing student declared, 'I want to make the name "Kuchu Kakudo" a name that instills a serious feeling within everyone's core! So for that to happen, I need to succeed on my own!'

As for Naderamu, she was still on the run, suddenly feeling a wave of exhaustion hit her like a freight train. 'I just need to find a way to fight back! He's just sitting on the rooftops and maintaining the high ground! If I don't think of something quick, then I won't be able to recuperate with my class or get this guy off my back at all!' She thought with anxiousness.

Both the glass-wearing student and Naderamu seemed to have a nearly similar resolution in-store, making them both push themselves to their very limit!

'I can do this!/I can finish this!'
