The Unruly Immortals

Chapter 336 Oblivion Path

"Clang!" The sound of metal on stone rang out as Li Huowang's Purple Tassel Sword heavily collided with the Rusty Knife in Hong Da's hand.

Accompanied by a crackling sound, the Rusty Knife shattered inch by inch, its fragmented blades turning edge-first, plunging towards Li Huowang's face.

Facing this potentially fatal attack, Li Huowang had no intention of defending. He tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword and exerted force violently, determined to exchange his life for Hong Da's by beheading him.

But just then, a gust of strong wind blew, and Xin Chi Monk had already arrived. He lifted his huge right foot and stomped down hard on Li Huowang.

In a flash, a dark shadow emerged from Li Huowang's Taoist Robe, drawing the Copper Coin Sword and stabbing straight towards the sole of Xin Chi Monk's foot.

It was Li Sui's tentacle, aiding Li Huowang in guarding against Xin Chi Monk's sneak attack.

Li Sui, multitasking with Li Huowang, somehow withstood the two men for a short period without falling behind.

However, the opponents numbered three, and multitasking clearly wasn't sufficient.

With a dull thud, Li Huowang, his face embedded with knife fragments, violently spat out a mouthful of blood and was sent crashing into the rubble, kicking up clouds of dust.

As Li Huowang, feeling nearly every organ in his body about to be displaced, shakily stood up, he discovered he was once again encircled by the three attackers.

Then, Tuoba Danqing, who had just sneak-attacked Li Huowang, spoke up, "Don't strike his back. This Oblivion Path armor is tough to penetrate."

Li Huowang swallowed a mouthful of bloody saliva and furiously shouted at Tuoba Danqing, "Brother Tuoba! Look at the tentacles on my body! Ask yourself! Could someone in my current state really impersonate an Oblivion Path adept?"

Tuoba Danqing, looking at the black, viscous tentacle wrapped around the Copper Coin Sword in Li Huowang's belly, showed a moment of hesitation in his eyes.

But after pondering for a moment, he instead looked up and said to Hong Da, "Lend me a knife."

Hong Zhong, dressed as a beggar, opened his clothes and from the gleaming array of knives within, picked out the longest one and threw it over.

This action clearly showed distrust in Li Huowang. Further words were pointless.

"Why explain anything? Kill them all! Kill! Kill! Kill!" A domineering female voice suddenly exploded in the air.

With a surge of heat rushing to Li Huowang's head, he stamped forcefully on the ground with both feet and charged at Tuoba Danqing, who was preparing to catch the knife.

If he could not be surrounded to death, then he had to break through the encirclement of the three. Tuoba Danqing, who had not yet obtained a weapon, was the weakest link!

Xin Chi Monk on the side tried to rush over to assist, but Li Huowang, with blood-red eyes, raised his Purple Tassel Sword and violently slashed across his mouth, prying off half of his jaw along with a chunk of cheek flesh.

From the split side of his face, Li Huowang's bloody, mangled oral cavity was exposed to the open air.

As Li Huowang took a deep breath and spat fiercely at Xin Chi Monk, teeth tainted with blood flew from the opening, scattering towards the Xin Chi Monk like a fairy scattering flowers.

With his teeth forcing back Xin Chi Monk, Li Huowang's Purple Tassel Sword, along with Li Sui's Copper Coin Sword, was already raised, slashing directly towards Tuoba Danqing.

Tuoba Danqing crossed his arms and blocked fiercely. The silk on his arms broke inch by inch, revealing underneath a string of shiny red walnuts.

Accompanied by an extremely grating friction sound, Li Huowang's Purple Tassel Sword heavily struck the walnuts.

Surprisingly, the walnuts, which could slice through iron like mud, actually clamped onto the Purple Tassel Sword—this thing was no ordinary object.

The walnut strand vibrated slightly as if harboring something within. From it shot out dozens of venomous gazes, nailing towards Li Huowang's head.

"Don't get close to him! This guy raises gu!" Hong Zhong, who had not shown himself for a while, suddenly jumped out and warned Li Huowang.

In this moment of critical urgency, Li Huowang inwardly commanded, "Li Sui, take action!"

The black tentacle, holding the Copper Coin Sword, stabbed straight at the wide-open chest.

"Ding," a crisp sound rang out, and the Copper Coin Sword stopped at his opponent's chest, unable to penetrate further.

The clothes ripped apart, revealing a shiny longevity lock in front of Li Huowang.

Just as they were at a standoff, Li Huowang's ears twitched; he heard the trembling noise of Xin Chi Monk rushing in from behind.

"Hahaha, Oblivion Path, how is it? Didn't expect that, did you?"

Looking at the smug face of Tuoba Danqing before him, Li Huowang opened his mouth and spat out two teeth he had deliberately kept, aiming for his face.

The hard teeth exploded in an instant, shattering and covering half of Tuoba Danqing's face with blood and fragments.

"Ahhhh!!!"

A kick landed on his chest, and Li Huowang finally broke free from the encirclement of the three.

Just as he let out a sigh of relief and was leaving the collapsed temple, he ran head-on into someone—it was Li Huowang.

Confronted with a face identical to his own, both Li Huowangs were slightly stunned.

"Er Jiu! Kill the one before you! That's an impostor from the Oblivion Path!"

Hearing this, the Li Huowang in front of him showed extreme disgust and, pulling out the Copper Coin Sword from behind, charged over with a vicious expression.

"Oblivion Path!! You damned deceivers dare to impersonate me! Die!!"

Suddenly, Li Huowang, who had just escaped a predicament, was once again caught between attacks from both sides.

Just then, Xin Chi Monk charged over, his massive foot descending on Li Huowang as if it were Mount Tai crashing down.

However, curiously, the Li Huowang standing in place simply passed through his foot and reemerged unscathed.

As Xin Chi was momentarily stunned, the Li Huowang under his foot slowly sank into the earth.

It was merely an illusion; the real Li Huowang had already taken on invisibility without anyone noticing.

Having eluded everyone, Li Huowang was now hiding on the rafters of a nearby Buddhist temple, looking down with a somber expression at the four people below.

"Damn it! This Oblivion Path can actually use the Earth Escaping Technique!" He watched the distant Li Huowang annoyedly say.

Just then, the wary Xin Chi Monk approached, looking at the Li Huowang in front of him. His voice resounded in the ears of the other two.

"Be careful, this person is from the Oblivion Path!"

As these words were spoken, before the other two could react, the Li Huowang on the ground suddenly widened his eyes in shock.

"Master Xin Chi, what do you mean by that? If I'm from the Oblivion Path, doesn't that mean the man earlier was the real one? If he's real, then why the false accusation against him?"

"So, you're set on killing both the real and the fake? Did I hit a nerve with just one comment? Are you that petty? Are you even competent? Don't tell me you've made a mistake again?"

"Li Huowang" took a half step back, watching the Xin Chi Monk before him with heightened caution.

This immediately made Tuoba Danqing and Hong Da, who were about to take action, stop and turn their gaze towards Xin Chi Monk.

Xin Chi's face changed, seemingly at a loss for words in that moment.

Li Huowang, standing on the rafters, sneered at this scene. He never imagined that a day would come when Oblivion Path, his arch-enemy in a fight to the death, might actually help him.
