Chapter 1: load up on guns
Oh my god.
I ate when I went to bed. Why am I so hungry? I kicked the silk sheets off my bed as I slowly looked around.
Oh right. I'm in space. I looked over at my phone sitting on the nightstand. I opened it—12:31 am. I thought time didn't exist up here.
I don't know; I haven't been up here in so long.
I watched as my dad's face lit up the screen.
I swear he programmed something that tells him when I wake up because he always calls me when I wake up.
"Hi, my beautiful chocolate muffin." weirdo.
"Hi father."
"Did you sleep well?"
"No, its 12 am and I am so freaking hungry," I said to him, and he started laughing. I sighed.
"You did eat before you left; I watched you. You can call something to your room if you'd like; it is our hotel after all." No need to flex big baller, I know.
"Okay." I look around. The floating chandeliers. How many do you need in one room? Like damn.
My dad designed all of these rooms based on the drawings in my mom's sketchbook, so I can't even complain.
"I love you, honey bun."
"Bye," I said, ending the call.
I blinked some more and smacked my phone back down on the bedside table.
Whatever.
I could just enjoy it and get some food.
I slipped on some shorts and slippers and slowly shuffled outside.
"Hi, Ms, are you looking for anything?" My back straightened as I turned around toward the voice. Oh, it's just a robot servant.
"No."
"Okay, let me know if…" and I am just going to walk off.
Despite my whole start-up being based on AI and robots, they still freak me out and I can't look at them.
I continued to stumble through the halls.
Yeah, I can't read anything on any of these hallways and doors, so I am just walking around and getting weird looks from aliens or sorry universe beings. I need to stay woke.
"Exucse me…" running from the robots; oh my god, they are so fucking annoying.
Oh.
I stopped.
I looked at the different doors. This one was black and metal. Different than the other ones that I had seen. I still couldn't read what it said because I can't speak whatever language is on there, eh? I am just going to open it.
Maybe there will be food in here.
BIG BITCH, hello.
Oh my gosh, that is the tallest being I have ever seen.
She's giving me this weird look as the door slams repeatedly against the wall.
I watch as she reaches for something under her desk as she stands up.
SHE GOT TALLER.
Hopefully it's food because I am starving.
"Do you have any food?" She lets go of the thing underneath the desk and gives me this weird look.
"Do you have any food?" I repeat louder.
"Food?" she repeats slowly back to me.
"Duh, that's what I just said." The lady's smile grows.
Uh? What is happening?
"You," she points at me. "Me what?"
Oh!
I dont feel safe.
"You are uh…save you will."
"I will what?" I look at the lady like she has three heads.
"Destiny, you will save." WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
I am so lost, oh my god and so freaking hungry.
I dont know what this sexy alien lady is smoking but she needs to stop it or pass me some.
"War. save. You. will."
Im done.
"I have no idea what you are saying and I don't think you understand what I'm saying, so I'm just going to go." I fucking hate weirdos.
I turned around.
Sorry, strangely sexy alien lady but a girl needs to eat.
I walk back through the halls the same way I came to get there.
That's actually so weird.
Who even was that lady? She clearly had to be someone important.
Ugh, I don't know; I'm just hungry.
More doors, each getting smaller and smaller and with less and less food, or so I think.
Maybe if I just sleep, then I won't be hungry.
Yeah.
I'll try that.
