The thrilling sensation of fish darting wildly underwater when they bite the hook isn't at all present with Emperor Crabs.

After satisfying the curiosity of catching Emperor Crabs, Lin Yang earnestly started fishing for fish.

Catching crabs was just for fun; fishing for fish is the real deal.

The fishing boat was parked not far from the shore, and he wasn't sure what kind of fish might be there, so he used every trick in the book to test the waters first.

As someone with an abundance of Experience Value, Lin Yang was no longer what he used to be; this small increase in Experience Value was hardly worth mentioning.

The fishing setup he used was a Bottom Fishing setup, with a middle threaded lead on the main line, tied to an eight character ring, with a line and hook on the other side.

This setup is quite sensitive; if a fish bites, it will transmit to the fishing rod clearly. The downside is it's prone to getting snagged, so be cautious in rocky, reefy areas, or you'll snag nine times out of ten.

After the bait entered the water and the lead sank to the seabed, he tightened the line a bit to keep it slightly taut so that any fish biting would immediately show as movement at the rod tip.

The fish in the water didn't keep Lin Yang waiting long; in less than a minute, the rod in his hand sharply bent down!

After a bit of tugging, in a little over a minute, a fish was pulled to the surface.

It turned out to be a Chinook salmon!

With another tug, the fish was lifted onto the boat.

Upon realizing it was a Chinook salmon he caught, Lin Yang felt a bit puzzled; isn't this a fish from the island? How did it end up in the sea?

He then remembered it's a migratory fish, born in freshwater, growing up in the deep sea, and then returning to freshwater to spawn, so catching it in the sea isn't unusual.

It was probably Lin Yang's preconceived notion, having caught them in freshwater streams before, that made him surprised to catch one in the sea.

After unhooking the fish, he released it back into the sea.

Currently, it's the season for Chinook salmon to spawn; they are likely heading to the river mouths for reproduction.
