Chapter 150: Join I
Vacuse listened to all of it and made up his mind. He knew exactly what the Jellyfish wanted and that made things easier for him. He thought about it even more carefully.
Vacuse is a person that is always hungry for power. And the Black Accord could provide it.
But he was always someone who was petty when people tried to hurt him, and the Black Accord did that as well.
So he nodded. "I will think about it."
The Jellyfish chuckled. "I know quite a lot of people that would run mad if given the same opportunity. But here you are, trying to think about it.
"There's no problem. Just don't forget that the offer won't remain standing forever, Vacuse Vorrakyn."
"Is this offer from you or the Black Accord?" Vacuse asked.
"It is from me. I am a Numbered Accord. I can accept who I want to the Accord. Oh... by the way, tomorrow might be more difficult than you anticipated. There's a Numbered Accord pulling strings on the other side."
With that, the Jellyfish disappeared.
Vacuse felt himself relax when he realized that he was actually gone. Then his face turned thoughtful. "So the Jellyfish wanted me to come under him? Did he offend the Shadow? Ah, this Jellyfish does have grand ambitions.
"So the Dukes also have someone supporting them. Not bad."
But it didn't matter.
Tomorrow, a Dragon would appear. And before a being like that, all other things are ants.

The next morning started with bright sunlight.
But nothing was bright with the mood of the Vorrakyn forces. They were grumpy and gloomy, their faces dark with dreaded anticipation.
More so for the Commander who knew that the Dragon Lord discussed no battle plans with them and for all intent and purpose.
They were about to die.
The previous day's victory was something that was long gone, cast into the depths of their minds.
Even some of those who were observing couldn't help but feel a little bit of pity as the depressed soldiers formed up rank.
By mid-morning, everyone was arranged at the position where the Red Leaves had occupied the day before, facing where the army that would crush them would come from.
Just then, something not that unexpected happened.
The Dragon Lord appeared!
His appearance caused the mood to lift a little as everyone remembered his glorious spectacle the day before.
But more than that...
"Is that him?"
"Is that the Dragon heir? This is my first time seeing him! So this is the one that went to the Orcs?"
"This is the SSS Dragon? He doesn't look like much though."
"What's this! This brat is not even dressed for battle, not to talk of the war! He thinks he's better than us? We're at the same stage... does he think he's someone special because he's an SSS?"
"What a joke! I'm sure it's just something fabricated. Something to make the Dragon Lord gain face!"
The reaction to Vacuse showing himself varied. There were people who felt awe and admiration with worship. There were some that glared with bitterness.
Some were indifferent. Most were envious and jealous. While some were filled with hatred and anger when they saw him.
But they all watched him and made way for him as his horse passed through their ranks.
And they all saluted the Dragon heir.
It was only proper after all... he is the Dragon heir.
He was surrounded by Captain Mera leading the Dragon Guards and Captain Harkon leading the New Dawn.
Vacuse sat on his horse with complete ease. He wore a black robe with soft red patterns. He carried no weapons and his hair was free behind him like moving midnight.
His right hand glowed with the redness of his ring. From his height, he looked down at everyone and everything.
And no matter if they hated him or loved him or were indifferent, they all bowed their heads when he passed through.
Not only because he is the Dragon heir.
He radiated dignity and a kind of ancient aura that made people want to incline their heads.
There was a slight smile on as he reached the very front, dismounted, and then bowed to the Dragon Lord. "Dragon Lord."
His voice was low, but it was amplified through Drenvar's power so that it reached all ears.
The Dragon Lord was floating in the air with the High Commander and Kragthar Commander. His face was hard like stone. "In the days when the Dragon held dominion in the sky... the Dragon always blessed the battlefield."
This is something the Dragon Lord should do. But he had no Dragon.
But Vacuse did.
He nodded his head in understanding.
In truth, Drenvar didn't have to do something like that, but he wanted to lift the spirit of his army a little.
Vacuse bowed to the Dragon Lord and then he faced the army.
Already, anticipation was filling them and most of them began to crane their necks to see what Vacuse was about to do, passing the information to those behind.
'...Rith... we have to show something good... something that will leave a strong impression on their minds and shake them... can you do something like that?'
Rith scoffed. '...brat, you don't ask a Dragon if they have the ability to do something or not... you should be focusing on if they're willing to do it!'
Vacuse smiled ruefully. '...then... will you, Rith...'
There was a long pause, followed by a snort. '...alright... alright...'
The army began to get restless as they stared at him.
"What is he going to do?"
"Why's he just standing there?"
"He should do something, right?"
Even the Dragon Lord looked down at his son with a slight frown on his face.
Then Vacuse raised his two hands up in the air.
Rith appeared around him and his mere presence caused silence. This was the first time that many of them were seeing him and they were deeply shocked.
But Rith wasn't done. He flew up into the air above Vacuse and then he looked down casually. '...Vacuse... I'm going to go all out and use my aura... this is going to be really...'
