The SSS Legendary Dragon Chose Me On Rebirth

Chapter 120: Challenge I

Vacuse's eyes lit up. "What reward will you give me for each challenge won?"

The First General frowned as if he was thinking about something, then he nodded. "I will personally reward you from my personal stash of artifacts. But that means you must defeat all of the seven challengers!"

Vacuse did not need to hear more as he smiled widely. "I agree!"

Meanwhile, the diplomatic group was feeling uneasy with the way their lord accepted things so quickly.

Some of the Orcs were also shocked, and they could not figure out if Vacuse was that confident or if he was just shameless.

The First General clapped. "All those who are in the second rank of bloodline are allowed to participate!"

Just then, Ragna leaned forward and whispered something that made the First General raise his brows. He grunted, looking even more interested. "I will choose those who will be participating!"

What Ragna told him was about the shocking firepower that Vacuse unleashed. Ordinary rank two obviously could not stand a chance against him.

With that, he quickly pointed out those that he wanted to participate. All those he pointed out were the strongest in rank two of the bloodline powers.

And for the First General to know them and point them out meant that they were insanely talented and incredibly powerful.

The seven stood at the edge of the pit and stared at Vacuse with vicious killing intent.

Vacuse stared back with the same look, but instead of seeing them as Orcs, all he saw was the profit he was about to make. What was more, he knew that fighting the seven of them would buy him the time he wanted.

Without hesitation, he jumped into the pit.

Captain Mera and Harkon could only sigh, but they were slowly gaining insight into who Vacuse was. He was not the type who would fight a battle unless he was sure he would come out with the upper hand.

Some might call it cowardly or calculating, but that was simply the way Vacuse knew how to live and keep preserving his life. So for him to jump into the pit, he must know what he wanted to do, especially when he was not trying to talk his way out of things.

The first Orc jumped in with him.

He was a hulking figure already flickering with a red glow. He snorted and shook his head coldly. "I am going to be the First General in the future, and I am going to follow his way!

"Thank you for this opportunity, you lizard human! I will use this to show him he should make me his apprentice!"

Vacuse frowned slightly. "If you want to be his apprentice, why do you not just ask him? If you are strong enough to be his apprentice, then he would take you."

The brute snorted and waved a greatsword as if it was a twig. "What do you know? You are nothing but a stepping stone!"

Vacuse stared up at the other six Orcs still staring down from the edge. "You might be strong, but you are definitely stupid. They sent you here just so they could use you to test my strength."

The Orc only shrugged. "My parents already told me that I am not that smart, so I tend to take things in a straightforward way. If they want to use me to test you, what does it matter? As long as I crush you!"

Vacuse blinked and then smiled. "I like a mentality like that, and I would love for you to join my team, but that mentality means you will not be doing so, right?"

The Orc only snorted.

Vacuse's eyes glowed. "What is your name? I will give you a favorable battle to the death."

The Orc flashed his teeth. "Mutua! But I will be the one crushing you!"

"Very well, Mutua! Let us fight!"

Red light flared around Mutua, and he surged forward with a blast of wind, looking like a boulder in flight. His sword was raised high, bloodlust bellowing around him.

Vacuse flew forward, his right hand clenched in a fist as he shot ahead like an arrow.

He did not change his path and directly wanted to meet the attack head-on.

The sword came down, and Vacuse's hand snapped forward.

Bam!

The two attacks collided with a cracking sound. A shockwave erupted between them and shoved them back.

Vacuse grinned. "How about that, Mutua?"

Mutua looked grim as he stared at his sword, where a crack now appeared. He threw the sword to the side, and his eyes now took on a dangerous tone.

He clenched his fist, and red light covered it like a glove. Then Mutua raised his left fist and pointed it at Vacuse.

Eh?

Vacuse stared at the left fist covered in red, and his vision swam as it felt as if a vortex appeared around the fist, drawing him in.

His soul space flared to life and shook, jerking him out of the illusion-like thing that held him.

But it was too late.

Mutua was already standing in front of him, his right hand thrown back, his face frowning, veins bulging as he used all of his power in a punch. He was not holding anything back at all!

Crack!

The punch slammed into Vacuse's chest with a wet, crunching sound, seemingly breaking all his bones and folding him in as he was sent ramming into the wall.

The Orcs cheered as they heard bones breaking, but the next instant they were stunned into silence when a voice cut through the air.

"Not bad! Not bad at all!"

It was Vacuse, already on his feet with no signs of wounds or broken bones. He was smiling. "This is just something that was closer to Amros, but still far behind!"

Mutua was visibly stunned as if he could not believe what he was seeing. He saw and heard bones snap. "Y... you heal that quickly?"

For the first time since the fight began, he felt something that was close to fear. Then Mutua focused his attention on Vacuse.
