Chapter 209: The Elder Works Harder
David had seen alignments shift due to changes in mindset and behavior, just like Dragon Dad Attilicia. Theoretically, a Silver Dragon born on Dragon Island and raised under the Metal Dragons' Claw of Justice educational tradition would almost always be Lawful Good. In other words, the alignments of creatures in this world weren't set in stone, but he had never seen anyone who could change as instantly and frequently as himself. He hadn't just never seen it; he'd never even heard of such a thing!
However, due to a lack of more case data for analysis, he wasn't quite sure what caused this result. Was it because he was a Heteromorphic Dragon, or was it due to the intervention of an Authority?
This matter, which he was destined not to understand at this stage, was quickly cast aside by David, who turned his attention to the other information on his character panel.
Due to the Power of Jealousy stealing a target's 'abilities,' David wasn't too surprised looking at his own dazzling array of skills and a job system that dominated nearly all fields; however, it was his distinctive attributes that caught his attention.
Especially his high Perception of 41. Even after deducting the +12 in parentheses (most likely a buff from the Book of the Dragon), his base Perception still reached an astonishing 29.
He had always thought he had only inherited the 'brutal' side of his mother, Pafila, and was only suited to be a Red Dragon Berserker. This was so true that when he saw the effects of Lizrite's Bloodscale Berserker, he hadn't hesitated to 'copy' it directly from his vassal, Ephelomon.
HISS... With such high Perception, doesn't it mean I'm naturally more suited to be a Priest charlatan, or perhaps a Druid? Hmm... There's also Ranger and Red Dragon Martial Monk...
High Perception also meant strong intuition and insight. After all, this was crucial for the practices of both Priests and Druids. The former could get 'closer' to God, while the latter could more easily and intimately connect with nature—akin to internet bandwidth. Rangers needed no explanation; one just had to look at the Elves. As for Martial Monks, their signature skills were Guardian Evasion and Mind Reading.
But the Priest profession held little significance for David. If he had wanted to, the first time he met Tiamat, he could have been directly promoted to a Chosen of God by the Chromatic Dragon Queen, making him equivalent to a Pope walking the earth. It was like other Priests were still diligently advancing their communication technology, slowly climbing from 1G to 5G. Meanwhile, he could casually pull out the 'Huawei Mate 60 Pro'—a gift from the Dragon Queen—and link up with the 'Chromatic Dragon Queen Tiamat' orbital station via satellite phone, highlighting a significant lead.
The problem was, David was a momma's boy of a dragon, clinging tightly to Pafila's leg and refusing to budge. His mother, Pafila, also didn't want him too closely bound to the aggressive, paranoid, and exceptionally greedy Chromatic Dragon Queen, so naturally, he complied. Because of this, his Priest class was only level 1, a consequence of being one of Pafila's followers.
Sadly, his own mother didn't seem interested in developing divine spells, let alone codifying church doctrines and scriptures.
So... aside from my current Bloodscale Berserker, the classes I'm actually more suited for are Druid and Martial Monk?
TSK. He hadn't even seen a 'creature' like a Martial Monk in Elariya.
If I'd known, I would have 'copied' a group of Martial Monks in Toriel.
As for Druids, they might not seem very promising on the surface. But David knew that the two ancient deities associated with the natural domain, the Father of Oaks Sylvanas and the Earth Mother Chauntea, were both powerful gods. There was potential; he just lacked the means. Theoretically, the ultimate culmination of this path would at least qualify one to become a planetary will, like 'Gaia.' Just as the Earth Mother Chauntea once did in the ancient days of Toriel on the Melorobros Continent, silently nurturing all living things.
Of course, his Red Dragon Inner Core was most likely incapable of nurturing life and fostering nature; his Mana Energy radiation would only reduce everything to a sea of fire.
In other words, if I took this path, could I perhaps turn myself into... a 'sun'?
HOLY SHIT! David himself was startled by this idea. Because, theoretically, it was possible to implement, and the key might be in the hands of his mother, Pafila: if, one day, she could fully control the shift from nuclear fission to atomic fusion, and could herself withstand and utilize such immense power.
"No, wait. Perhaps there's another way," David exclaimed, slapping his tail.
The Tokamak Ring! This project could be given to Dragon Dad and those Neisser spirits in Toriel to try. Then, all that would be needed is to create a vacuum environment within it and continuously inject electrical energy to form a massive spiral magnetic field. By heating Mana Energy particles to hundreds of millions of degrees Celsius, perhaps the Fusion Flame could be ignited. This would achieve a dragon-made miniature sun, granting inexhaustible Mana Energy... He would no longer fear emptying his Mana Bar.
"It seems... promising!" David mused aloud. "I just don't know, if this method truly succeeds one day, what would that make me? A Legendary Destiny or a Demigod? And if I could control such a massive amount of spiral magnetic fields by then, would that also mean I've mastered electromagnetism, one of the four fundamental forces?"
"So, the pressing matter is to find a stable electrical power source," David muttered to himself, his train of thought unfolding, aided by data integration and analysis from the Book of the Dragon. As it did, the corners of his mouth curled into a smile.
