The Red Dragon Just Wants To Do As It Pleases

Chapter 206: The Dragon Queen's Spoils of War

David had barely left Ephelomon's ancestral home when he rushed, with the Red Dragon King's Decree clutched in his hands, straight to the Dragon Queen's Treasury.

Heavens be praised! Tiamat finally decided not to freeload off a certain dragon this time!

Since he could exchange it for a treasure from the Dragon God, naturally the sooner he got it, the better. After all, it wasn't earning any interest just sitting there.

However, what he found was entirely different from what he had initially imagined. He had thought that the Dragon Queen's Treasury would be like his mother's or that of most other dragons. He imagined it hidden deep within the Evil Scale Fortress, a huge, magically protected treasury lined with layers of Dragon Nest defenses. The only difference, he presumed, would be its much grander scale.

As it turned out, his imagination regarding wealth was somewhat limited.

This Dragon's Treasury was indeed located at the very heart of the Evil Scale Fortress, but it was neither hidden nor heavily guarded.

On the contrary, the iron gates embedded with gemstones in the colors red, blue, green, black, and white—representing the five heads of Tiamat—were wide open to the dragons. Dragons were coming and going in droves. In front of the gate stood only two Abishalom Demons, who appeared to be both devil and dragon, symbolically standing guard.

Well... it was like two mall greeters in front of a large supermarket—indeed, they served pretty much the same purpose.

Yet, there were also some young dragons loitering around who didn't seem to know what to do. They eagerly struck up conversations with dragons that either wore dazzling magical items or bore the distinct scent of blood from the battlefield.

It was then that David realized—the treasury was within Tiamat's Divine Realm. Who would dare steal from their own god within the deity's own domain?

The Red Dragon King's Decree he received from the Dragon Queen's vassal, Ephelomon, was less a simple voucher and more of a delivery note with the relevant information.

The only difference was, with this delivery note, David could indulge in a 'satisfying zero-cost purchase' from the Dragon Queen's Treasury.

Clearly, with the start of the divine war, David was not the first dragon to be honored in such a way for his 'military exploits.' However, he was probably the only one who received an 'unlimited' pass to select any item he desired from the Dragon Queen's Treasury. He wasn't restricted to pre-selected or tier-limited rewards like the other dragons who had earned military honors.

So much so, the Abishalom Demon who greeted David had to double-check this fact before promptly changing his demeanor from slightly proud and reserved to completely fawning.

"Myriad Colors Return to the Void, Evil Scales Forever Shine." First, offering devout worship towards the void above, then suddenly revealing a bootlicker's flattering smile, he said,

"Prince David Uthos, you must cherish this special honor. You should choose carefully indeed. However, since this is your first visit, would you like me to arrange a guide for you in the treasury?" If not for his duty, he seemed all too eager to serve David from head to tail.

"Yes," David nodded indifferently. Being new here, having a free 'tour guide' wouldn't be so bad; it could at least improve the efficiency of my item selection.

Almost instantly, the young 'guide dragons,' having noticed the Abishalom Demon's swift change of attitude, flocked toward him, eager to introduce their own backgrounds and expertise.

Even some of the female dragons seemed to stretch their bodies nonchalantly, their curves flowing. They inadvertently brushed past the edges of their semi-concealed cloacas, taking the tantalization to the extreme.

Sin of Lust

David, a young Red Dragon new to adulthood, had never seen anything like this. He might have thought he'd entered a dragon brothel in heaven.

He barely stopped himself from blurting out something as ridiculous as "Bring in another batch of dragons," like some big shot in the movies. More and more young dragons gathered, having smelled the news. Even several self-proclaimed beautiful male dragons joined the commotion. David quickly pointed with his tail to one of the most beautiful, well-endowed, and apparently smart Green Dragons,

"Her!"

The young female Green Dragon wore a glaze crown on her head and a gold magic ring on her tail. She immediately lifted her neck in proud joy and wrapped the tip of her tail around David's.

"This way, Your Highness."

Sheesh, it was a good thing I'd just relieved myself with Drow Hiatt earlier today. Otherwise, with how sensitive the nerve endings on a dragon's tail tip are, I might not have been able to stop myself from making a fool of myself just now.

David couldn't help but criticize the promiscuity among the Chromatic Dragons. Among the Metal Dragons, especially the Gold and Silver Dragons, such 'mating' would almost be tantamount to a lifelong commitment. For the Chromatic Dragons, however, it was as natural as a human nobleman's maid winding her arm around a man's.

Unaccustomed to this, once he was out of the view of the other dragons, David still pulled his tail away, eliciting confusion and disappointment from her.

I couldn't very well tell her that my tail tip was too sensitive. This manner of walking made me feel like, back when I was human, being led around by a beauty holding onto my... well, you know... while strolling down the street.

It was just too much to bear!

Moreover, this is my first experience, and it's greatly affecting my concentration. I need to 'treasure hunt' as quickly as possible.

However, upon officially entering the Dragon Queen's Treasury, David's eyes were dazzled. First, he saw mounds and mounds of treasure composed of Gold Coins and gems piled up high. They glowed so bright they could blind a dragon's eyes. The sight was much more magnificent than Smaug's hoard, as if he were stepping into a world constructed entirely of treasures.
