The Multiverse Hunter

Chapter 168: Chapter 168

From a distant hill, an older man lay prone, his blaster sniper firmly mounted into the dirt. His target was clear: the red-masked Sith who had been tearing through the Jedi ranks like a force of nature. Through the scope, he watched as Ali casually dropped the chunk of spine he had held moments earlier, his movements unhurried and precise.

"Headshot," the experienced player muttered, his voice steady as he slowly squeezed the trigger.

BANG!

The sniper's shot rang out, the powerful plasma bolt streaking toward Ali's head. The blast was silent death cutting through the battlefield's chaos—but at the last second, Ali's cross-guard lightsaber moved with preternatural speed. The crimson blade intercepted the shot effortlessly, deflecting it into the sky.

Ali's masked face tilted, locking directly onto the sniper's distant position with chilling precision. The older man's stomach sank as the Sith's unseen gaze pinned him in place.

"Damn it," the sniper hissed, steadying himself for another shot.

Ali's lightsabers continued to whirl through the nearby soldiers, cutting them down with brutal efficiency. Raising his comms device to his mouth, Ali murmured a command. He turned his head slightly as another shot fired, this time sidestepping it with ease.

Above the battlefield, Ali's sleek black spaceship roared through the air, streaking straight toward the sniper's hilltop position. The older man looked up, his face pale as the dark shadow of the ship grew larger, blotting out the sky.

"Shit…," the sniper muttered, his voice trembling. He closed his eyes, accepting his fate.

BOOOOOOM!

The ship shot it's cannons at the hillside, the explosion sending the soil flying in all directions. When the dust settled, nothing remained of the sniper or his perch.

"You killed a player: 3 Paradise Coins", the interface flashed across Ali's vision.

Ali turned back to the battle just in time to spot four Jedi Knights rushing toward him, their green and blue lightsabers glowing brightly. Their expressions were grim but resolute as they closed the gap, spreading into a tactical formation.

Ali recalled his lightsabers, the twin blades hovering protectively behind him as he began to stride forward.

Suddenly, the Knights stopped. Their sabers flailed wildly in the air, their strikes erratic as if fighting off unseen enemies. Purple light glowed faintly around their eyes, their movements panicked.

Ali tilted his head, his curiosity piqued. He bent down, picked up a blaster from the body of a fallen soldier, and fired four precise shots. Each blast found its mark, and the Knights crumpled lifelessly to the ground.

Across the battlefield, Malgrith stood among the Empire's troopers, his eyes closed and his fists glowing with dark purple energy. As the Jedi fell, he opened his eyes, his cold gaze scanning the chaos.

"SITH! YOU WILL PAY!"

The roar of the Jedi leader rang out like thunder, and Ali turned to face him. The imposing figure, clad in a Jedi cape, radiated authority as he raised his fist high. With a powerful gesture, he swung it downward.

Ali's gaze followed the Jedi leader's movements to the sky, where an Empire fighter-jet was plummeting directly toward his location. Soldiers scattered in panic, shouting and diving for cover as the massive vessel fell like an unstoppable force of nature.

Ali leapt back, the power of the Force surging through him as he propelled himself to safety. But before the ship could crash, a brilliant cannon blast erupted from the rear of the Jedi army, tearing through the ship's hull.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The explosion was catastrophic, sending a fiery shockwave rippling outward. Ali was caught mid-air, the explosion hurling him backward. Shards of metal and debris rained down, one jagged piece slicing through his side.

His uniform was scorched, his side bleeding profusely as smoke trailed from his form. Extending his hand, he used the Force to stabilise himself mid-air

Ali reached down and pulled the debris from his stomach, tossing it aside. The wound closed almost instantly, his body regenerating with unnatural speed before he floated to the ground next to Malgrith.

"Good to see you, my student," Malgrith said coldly, replacing his plain mask with one bearing a skull-like design. The dark markings enhanced his already menacing aura, making him look like death incarnate.

"So, Force illusion is what you gained from that temple," Ali noted, his tone calm as his lightsabers hovered behind him like sentinels.

"And you killed a Force ghost," Malgrith replied, igniting his red lightsaber with a sharp hiss.

Ali raised an eyebrow behind his mask. "How did you know?"

"There were traces," Malgrith said simply.

Ali placed two fingers in his mouth and whistled sharply. The sound carried across the battlefield, reaching Drogath, who was engaged in a brutal melee.

A massive Wookie swung its vibro-axe at Drogath, snarling furiously. Drogath stepped forward, his armoured fist slamming into the Wookie's torso. The blow was so powerful that the creature's upper body exploded into a cloud of blood and viscera, leaving its legs standing for a moment before collapsing.

Hearing Ali's signal, Drogath crouched low and channeled the Force into his legs. With a thunderous leap, he soared through the air, landing beside Ali with an earth-shaking crash. His axe dug into the ground to halt his momentum, and he rose, his massive frame towering over the battlefield.

Renella approached from the rear, her green magic glowing faintly as she took her place between Ali and Drogath.

Opposite them, the Jedi army scrambled to regroup. The morale of the troops wavered as they stepped over the corpses of their fallen comrades, the sight of once-mighty Jedi lying lifeless on the ground shaking their confidence.

But then their leader stepped forward, his powerful presence restoring hope.

"Stand tall, men!" the Jedi Master shouted. "This fight is not lost until the last of us falls!"

Behind him, Natalya and her remaining guild members followed closely, their faces set with grim determination.

Ali extended his hand toward Renella. Her palm met his, and green energy swirled between them, coalescing into a massive spear. The weapon was jagged and raw, its surface crackling with green energy.

Ali gripped the spear tightly, his right arm tensing as black veins crawled up his skin. Red lightning sparked and danced along his forearm, the air around him growing heavy with the dark side.

The ground beneath his feet cracked as he drew the spear back, his entire body coiled like a spring.

Ali hurled the spear forward.

CRACK-BOOOOOOM!

The spear tore through the air with an ear-splitting sonic boom, spinning so fast it left a visible vortex in its wake. The sheer power of the throw ripped through the earth, creating a trench of destruction beneath its path.

The Jedi Master raised his hand, summoning a massive Force barrier. The spear struck the shield with a deafening impact, the shockwave rippling across the battlefield.

The barrier held for a moment, but the red lightning surging along the spear's length crackled violently. The energy concentrated at the spear's tip, shattering the shield in an explosion of light.

The Jedi Master gritted his teeth, his hair flew up as his eyes glowed slightly, the immense Force he wielded was on display as he forcefully stopped the spear inches from his chest. He squeezed his hand into a fist and the spear disintegrated into thin air.

The Jedi looked up, his sharp eyes narrowing as he saw the red-masked Sith hurtling toward him with terrifying speed. Ali's dark figure cut through the chaos like a blade, his movements precise and unrelenting.

Behind him, the Sith army surged forward, their bloodlust palpable as they roared and charged with weapons drawn.

Drogath, leading the charge, came to a halt and clapped his massive hands together with immense force. The sound of the impact was deafening, echoing across the battlefield like a thunderclap.

The shockwave that followed was monstrous, a tidal wave of kinetic energy that tore through the air and slammed into the Jedi ranks. Soldiers staggered, their footing lost as the ground beneath them cracked and shifted, throwing many to the ground.

Amid the chaos, Ali closed the distance, his cross-guard lightsaber ignited in a brilliant blaze of crimson. Holding the weapon firmly in both hands, he brought it down in a devastating overhead strike aimed directly at the Jedi Master.

The Jedi raised his blue lightsaber just in time, their blades colliding in an explosion of light. Sparks flew as the weapons clashed, their energy humming violently.

For a moment, the two warriors were locked in a deadly stalemate, their sabers pressing against one another with equal force.

Their eyes met—Ali's cold and calculating, the Jedi's filled with unyielding determination. The energy between them crackled and hissed.

The ground beneath them trembled as their clash radiated power, each warrior silently daring the other to falter.
