The lord of life and death

Rain dug the sword into the ground to slow down his speed. He is fighting against one of the Golden Eagles. It cannot be called fighting, the correct answer he is trying to stay alive and hold the Golden Eagle's attention. 

He groans, his mouth escaping, as his back collides against the trunk of a tree. He tries to slow down, but he still collides. Before he can stabilize himself, he has to jump to his side and remain face down on the ground. He then turns around to see the tree he collided with, shaking back and forth. He notices a clean cut in the tree at the same place he collided.

Rain quickly pulls his leg back from under the tree and stands up before the tree falls. Rain quickly distances himself, his eyes staring at the golden eagle flying. The fight is inside a cavern, which is only 90 meters in height with dense foliage above, so for the eagle to fly freely, it has to fly under 60 meters and in an open place. 

Only the open place for the eagles to fly freely is in the center of the cavern under the central tree which passes by the hole in the ceiling of the cavern. Rain seeing the tree failing, quickly jumped upon the tree as it fell and ran along the tree trunk, when he was near the Golden Eagle, he jumped from the tree with the sword swinging against the Golden Eagle.

Rain stares at the eyes of a Golden Eagle which is showing apparent disdain at him. He watched the Golden Eagle flap his wing and a golden crescent light blade flew toward him and met his sword swing. Rain tightens his grip on the sword as he again flies back and collides with a tree. Again a groan escaped from his mouth as he slid down the tree trunk.

If his bone is not strengthened by silver tear fruit, he would have broken bones even with the protection of life seed. Rain stares at the Golden Eagle's mocking gaze and looks behind it at the fight that is going on in the air. Behind Narisa is a pair of wing-shaped bat wings as he fights against another Golden Eagle.

Rain can see the Golden Eagle fighting with him, look at the fight happening at his back from time to time. Even the other Golden Eagle which is his brother, the Golden Eagle unable to leave the fight with Rain and help his brother. Because of the cut on his thigh, which was because of Rain's sneak attack. Their plan is similar to Rain and Narisa's plan, to clean one first and then take care of the other one.

With his soul strength Rain found out both were male with similar age, so he thought they were brothers. The rain suddenly jumps sideways while using the mind blast technique as he hears a tree snapping and the sound of the tree falling follows. 

Rain quickly stands up and turns around and finds the Golden Eagle swaying side by side on the cavern floor. This was the chance Rain was waiting for, he started using the mind blast technique and attacked the Golden Eagle whose height was up to his neck. Rain relentlessly attacked for two minutes without giving any chance to the Golden Eagle.

Rain can see his sword strike only cutting the skin of the Golden Eagle unable to cut its muscles. Eagle-type Monsters are known as kings of birds. The Golden Eagle species is the top species in the Eagle monster because of the rule of metal their defense is the same as third-rank magic armor. 

The rain sword in his hand is a beginning third-realm magic weapon whereas the Golden Eagle defense is a middle third-realm magic weapon. Rain has to strike with full strength at the same place a hundred times to damage the Golden Eagle. But now his goal is not to kill the Golden Eagle which is impossible for him, because his energy will be consumed faster than the Golden Eagle if he attacks the Golden Eagle with his full strength repeatedly.

Before he reaches 100, his energy will be consumed. So, he cannot entertain the idea of killing the Golden Eagle and reminds himself his job is to hold the Golden Eagle and remain alive till Narisa kills the other one. Rain is attacking the Golden Eagle with his sword and mind blast technique for the Golden Eagle to remain disoriented. 

The Golden Eagle starts shining in golden light seeing the light, Rain turns around and runs to distance himself from the Golden Eagle. He only ran 4 meters from the Golden Eagle, he flew out. The Golden Eagle uses his innate magic power Golden Blade which creates a golden blade that moves in a circle around the Golden Eagle, attacking anything near the Golden Eagle.

The Golden Eagle is a 2nd realm monster, so the Golden Blade attack range is 5 meters around the Golden Eagle. Without the Red crystal protection, Rain now would have been cut into thousands of pieces. Rain stands up and turns to face the Golden Eagle with cuts on its body staring at Rain in anger.

Rain now has to be careful, Before the Golden Eagle did not take him seriously now the Golden Eagle wants to kill him and kill him now. Rain sees the Golden Eagle flapping its wing to take to the sky, Rain uses the mind blast technique but his attack is blocked. He did not see the Golden Eagle become disoriented but instead, it took off the ground.

Rain bending his neck backward stares at the Golden Eagle in the air. Rain sees the Golden Eagle open its beak and hears the cry of the Golden Eagle. And around the Golden Eagle, 6 golden swords emerge and slowly they turn and the point now is pointing at Rain.

Rain murmurs 'Shit' and control all his energy to his heart and form a shield with life seed in front of him. And the six golden blades one by one flew toward him with their point pointing at him. When the first golden sword enters one meter of Rain a red crystal shield is in front of Rain. 

The red crystal shield stops three golden swords and breaks at the fourth, the golden sword pierces through the life seed and enters his right chest stopping halfway to the muscle. The fifth sword without the red crystal slowing it down and the life seed shield's inadequate defense entered his left chest and pierced his heart, which made him step backward the sixth sword pierced his stomach and the tip emerged from his back.

Rain bending his cough blood from his mouth, he can hear the happy cries from the Golden Eagle. Rain raises his head stares at the eyes of the Golden Eagle and smirks, as the swords disperse in the air. Which made the Golden Eagle confused, 12 hours ago the injury from the fifth sword would lead to his death.

But after his heart absorbs the energy of the heart of the red crystal monkey it changes, now to stop his heart from working, one has to pull out his heart from his chest or in a moment inflict damage more than 50 percent. Rain controls his skin to close the wound absorb the blood stain on his skin and control his energy to the three wounds to heal.

To stop the Golden Eagle from launching the same attack at him, Rain uses the mind blast technique. This time it is effective as the Golden Eagle sways in the air and falls to the ground. Rain did not run to attack the Golden Eagle as he had to heal and recover his energy he put two food pills in his mouth, and he kept on using the mind blast technique on the Golden Eagle.

Rain thought this time his mind blast technique was successful because the Golden Eagle consumed his magic power in the last attack which led it to stop protecting his soul. Rain thought if the Golden Eagle was unable to use his magic power, Rain would be able to more comfortably hold out against the Golden Eagle.

Rain read a book in his village that only the profession of God is able to use magic power. But from the princess, he learn it was a lie, any being who enters the doorway of a rule can use magic power inside the divine continent. The Gods did not block magic power from the divine continent as in this world everything is sustained by magic power without magic power any life will not be able to live.

They turn the raging magic power particles to inert which leads them to fall and burrow in the ground. And they gather together to form a magic view from where magic stones can be mined. The sunstone vein in the ceiling of the cavern is a type of magic stone. Only in the divine continent, the magic stone veins can be found.

Rain stops using the mind blast technique nine times, as the mind blast technique consumes his soul strength. Rain watched the Golden Eagle stand on its feet and flap its wings but did not attack. Rain can feel around the Golden Eagle something stirring and entering its body. 

Rain understood it was absorbing magic power in the air. After advancing to a 3rd realm alchemist will be able to absorb magic power with his soul strength. Rain prepares himself for the Golden Eagle attack, and quickly transforms the energy from the food pill to his energy.

Both he and the Golden Eagle frantically fill their energy reserve but the moment is broken by a painful cry. The rain did not turn his head to his left to see what had happened. His soul sense locks on the other Golden Eagle falling to the ground with his mind blast technique.

With soul strength he can see the Golden Eagle falling was trying to stabilize himself to stop itself falling in the ground. As Narisa was following behind it, he was going to use his innate magic 'golden sword'. Rain's mind blast technique interrupts the Golden Eagle from doing anything and it crashes on the ground.

Rain hears the cries of the other Golden Eagle as it frantically flies to save his brother. But before he can reach his brother, Narisa's sword pierces the Golden Eagle's body. Rain from his soul strength can see the sword pierce the Golden Eagle's heart instantly killing it.

 The other Golden Eagle may feel his brother's death as it shines with golden light and six golden swords emerge tip pointing at Narisa. Narisa did not even turn to defend against the Golden Eagle's attack as vines emerged from the ground blocking all the golden swords. And then the vines thick as his thigh surge toward the golden eagle.

Rain sees the golden notices the vines coming at him uses his innate magic while flying toward Narisa. The magic cut all the vines coming toward the golden eagle but more vines emerge from the ground and the vines that are cut grow back and target the golden eagle.

Now, Rain cannot even see the golden eagle surrounded by vines. In his soul vision, he sees the golden eagle's innate magic cutting all the vines coming toward it but Rain is certain the golden eagle will lose. After fighting with Rain, the Golden Eagle's magic power is not fully recovered. 

Rain seeing the fight made him want to reach the third realm quickly. Without the power of belief, there are three ways to advance to the third realm ' Virtual Crown' Alchemist-

First, is resources like the energy stone of the white crow.

Second is displaying the knowledge of the other worlds.

Third is entering the doorway of a rule, then he can absorb the inert magic energy to strengthen his soul.

" I can understand 'metal rule' in this world." He can comprehend metal rules from the energy stone of the Golden Eagle. Seeing the Golden eagle dying, Rain starts to walk toward Narisa, now they have to climb the tree to see where they are.
