The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 154: The Blazing Sun High in the Sky! _3

The only regret is that the modelling was somewhat monotonous; this time there were no flying squids, Heart Devouring Demons walking upside down, or One-eyed Giants throwing rocks.

Calmandes's Servants more closely resembled a traditional army, made up of light and Heavy Infantry, Cavalry, and archers.

And that Black Knight, who had the look of a BOSS, was completely in the form of a Human Knight, lacking the ferocious appearance of the one mounted on a creature with tentacles.

But it also proved that old adage: the stranger the skin, the weaker the person. The Black Knight, looking plain and unremarkable, was clearly much harder to deal with than Mel the Madman. He actually fought on par with Glak, who possessed the peak strength of the Platinum Level, and even seemed to have gained the upper hand!

Glak let out a furious roar, the Double-edged Battle Axe sharply slashing at the steed of the Black Knight.

Faced with this strike like thunder, the silent Black Knight did not dodge or evade but casually blocked it, parrying this seemingly fatal blow.

"Clang——!"

The sound of metal clashing echoed across the battlefield, sparks flying several meters away, like molten iron splattering off an anvil!

Feeling the pain in his tiger's mouth, Glak was taken aback.

He had not only put his full strength into that blow but also activated the Ancestor's Blessing that flowed in his veins.

Even a Diamond Level Demon, as strong as Reggie Dragon himself, could not come out unscathed after his All-out Strike!

Yet this fellow not only took it but seemed completely unphased!

Diamond?

Purple Crystal?

It shouldn't be Grandmaster or Demigod...

Glak's forehead broke out in a sweat, unable to gauge the depth of the knight before him, even feeling that the more they fought, the stronger the opponent became.

In fact, it wasn't his fault.

God-chosen from behind the Gate of Chaos were not beings of this world, and their Extraordinary Power did not stem from this world either; naturally, their strength was not to be assessed by the standards of this world.

The knight in the Black Armor looked down at him, his longsword boiling with silent flames, while underneath the burning armor shot out a bloodthirsty and fervent gaze.

Without a word exchanged, as if reaching some unspoken agreement, their eyes met and they clashed again in the next instant.

Even sensing that his opponent was stronger than himself, Glak did not have the slightest intention to retreat; instead, his desire for battle surged even higher.

Just then, a black shadow suddenly drifted over from not too far away, creeping towards the back of the Black Knight like a stealthy shadow.

As if sensing the threat coming from behind, the Black Knight forcibly reversed his longsword and swung backwards, drawing an arc of flame wall behind the horse's hooves!

"Thud——!"

The whistling dagger struck as if hitting a solid wall, unable to penetrate the burning flame wall by a fraction!

The wavering shadow retreated as soon as it touched the flame, like a feather blown away by the wind, landing ten meters away and transforming into a human figure.

The steed beneath him neighed, the Black Knight holding the reins with a slightly grave expression, becoming much more alert in an instant.

Although, from the short exchange of blows, the strength of the Shadow Demon was clearly inferior to the Beastman he faced, the former felt far more threatening to him than the latter.

Seeing Thanos in a black cloak, Glak with the Double-edged Battle Axe smiled grimly, a clear twinkle of pleasure flashing in his eyes.

Narrowing his grip on the axe handle and the axe blade, he posed ready for a double team attack.

"Never thought I'd team up with a guy like you."

Twirling his dagger in his hands, Thanos said nonchalantly.

"I didn't expect it either, you can still back out now."

Glak raised an eyebrow.

"You scared?"

Thanos chuckled softly.

"I mean, you could stand aside and leave this guy to me."

Glak laughed heartily, mocking him.

"Bullshit!"

As he spoke, he forcefully pushed off with his feet, chasing after the Black Knight who was trying to put distance between them.

The retreating Black Knight was once again locked in combat, forced to give up the idea of retreat and swinging his longsword to clash with the Double-edged Battle Axe.

Meanwhile, Thanos not standing by idly, his daggers struck like venomous snakes at the Black Knight's back.

One-on-one turned into a gang-up.

Faced with the double team attack of long and short from both opponents, the Black Knight, though as if blessed by Chaos, was overwhelmed in the moment.

Spotting an opening, Glak swung his Battle Axe mightily, striking true upon the neck of his opponent's steed!

The flesh on the neck was sliced away in large chunks, the horse not even getting a chance to neigh before it toppled to the side, lifeless.

The Black Knight was unprepared for his mount to shrink beneath him, falling off the horse.

No sooner had his iron boots touched the ground and before he could stand up, a stabbing dagger came at his face, forcing him to hurriedly brace his longsword for defense.

Thanos did not stop after the unsuccessful strike but continued stabbing a dozen times more, dancing away with the clangor of metal and then leaping back, his fading figure pausing mid-air.

Watching that mysterious smile fixed in mid-air, the now horseless Black Knight instinctively sensed something was wrong.

Before he had time to grasp what was happening, the Shadow Demon suspended in the air split into countless black afterimages, stabbing towards him with the ferocity of a rain of arrows piercing the heart.
