The Loli Gets All the Passive Skills

Chapter 3: My Sister, the Siscon

Vivienne should have known this would happen.

Vivienne sighed, her petite form dwarfed by her sister Elisabeth's overly enthusiastic embrace. It was like being caught in a crimson-haired, centuries-old boa constrictor. She made a half-hearted attempt to wiggle free, but Elisabeth only tightened her grip, resting her chin on top of Vivienne's head with a contented hum.

"Do you really have to do this during a strategy meeting?" Vivienne asked, glaring up at her sister. 'You damn siscon!'

Elisabeth's crimson eyes sparkled mischievously. "Of course I do. You've been asleep for centuries! Do you know how lonely it was without my adorable little sister?"

'I mean, weren't you asleep just as long,' Vivienne thought.

Mary, standing beside Anna near the table, sighed heavily, clearly used to this dynamic. "My Queen, please try to focus. Princess Vivienne cannot effectively contribute if you're smothering her."

"She's not smothered! She's just... comfortably secure," Elisabeth replied with a pout, nuzzling Vivienne's hair.

Vivienne groaned. "This is why I said you're a siscon."

Elisabeth blinked innocently. "Siscon? What does that mean?"

"Never mind," Vivienne muttered, waving it off.

Vivienne sipped her blood tea, her petite frame awkwardly leaning forward in an attempt to escape the iron grip of Elisabeth. It really felt less like a royal council and more like a hostage situation. She sighed internally. This is my life now.

"So," Vivienne began, trying to keep her voice steady despite the way Elisabeth's chin was practically resting on her head, "we've got two faction leaders barely tolerating each other while Shadow and his Shadow Garden destabilizes everything just by existing. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen."

Anna gave a curt nod, her crimson eyes as sharp and calculating as ever. "Indeed. Yukime, as the leader of the Snow Fox Clan, is a cunning strategist. She thrives on leveraging chaos to her advantage. Juggernaut, on the other hand, is a brute force incarnate. He commands respect through raw strength and intimidation. Their alliance is tenuous at best."

Elisabeth nuzzled Vivienne's hair, completely ignoring the serious tone of the discussion. "Don't worry, Vivienne. If they even think about threatening you, I'll crush them."

Vivienne tensed, glaring up at her sister. "Elisabeth, I'm not a porcelain doll. I can handle myself."

Mary, standing gracefully by the side of the room with her hands clasped, let out a faint chuckle. "Princess, it seems your sister disagrees. Though I must admit, her protective nature can be... overwhelming."

Vivienne shot Mary a look. "You don't say."

"Back to the matter at hand," Anna interjected, her tone firm. "If we're to maintain our position in the Lawless City, we must establish clear boundaries with Yukime and Juggernaut. While Queen Elisabeth's strength is undisputed, diplomacy—or at least a show of it—may be necessary to avoid outright conflict."

Elisabeth huffed, tightening her hold on Vivienne as if to shield her from the world. "Diplomacy is overrated. Why waste time talking when we can just show them who's in charge?"

Vivienne sighed and pried Elisabeth's arm slightly loose, enough to turn and face her sister. "Because, dear sister, not every problem can be solved with brute force. You're the one who taught me that. We alienate both Yukime and Juggernaut, we'll have two enemies instead of potential allies—or at least neutral parties."

Elisabeth blinked, looking mildly surprised. Then she grinned, ruffling Vivienne's hair like she was a child. "You've gotten smarter, little sis. Must be all that beauty sleep."

Vivienne swatted her hand away, glaring. "I swear, Elisabeth, if you keep treating me like a kid, I'm going to—"

Ding!

Vivienne groaned as her system chimed again.

---

[Passive Skill Unlocked: Sisterly Love]

Your ability to tolerate excessive affection from overbearing family members has increased. Slightly reduces mental strain and boosts charisma in familial interactions.

---

Vivienne stared blankly at the notification before slumping forward in defeat. This system has a terrible sense of humor.

Anna and Mary exchanged knowing looks as Elisabeth leaned closer, clearly thrilled to have her sister back. "Don't be mad, Vivienne. I just love you so much!"

Vivienne downed the rest of her tea in one gulp and set the cup down with a decisive clink. "Fine. If we're doing this, then here's the plan: Anna, draft a letter to Yukime and Juggernaut requesting a formal meeting. Elisabeth, try not to terrify anyone until we've at least talked to them. And Mary... just keep the tea coming."

Mary inclined her head gracefully. "Of course, Princess."

As the meeting continued, Vivienne felt a flicker of determination beneath the exasperation. If she was going to survive—and thrive—in this chaotic city, she'd need every ounce of wit, cunning, and patience she could muster.

Especially patience. Lots and lots of patience.

----

Vivienne sat at the grand dining table, staring blankly at Yukime, the Spirit Fox, whose nine silvery tails swayed elegantly behind her as she sipped delicately from her teacup. The fox's piercing golden eyes seemed to gleam with amusement as she reached over and casually patted Vivienne on the head.

"There, there, little one," Yukime cooed, her voice smooth as silk. "You're far too precious to be left in the chaos of the Lawless City. A refined young lady like you deserves an education befitting your station."

Vivienne stiffened, her crimson eyes narrowing. "I'm not some lost puppy you can pat whenever you feel like it. And what's this about school? I thought we were discussing alliances."

Yukime chuckled, her tails flicking playfully. "We were. But after meeting you, I realized you'd thrive far better at the Midgar Academy for Dark Knights. It's the perfect place for you to hone your skills and gain valuable allies."

From her seat across the table, Elisabeth frowned, her arms crossed as she glared protectively at Yukime. "Vivienne doesn't need school. She has everything she needs right here—with me."

Yukime's smile widened, her fox ears twitching mischievously. "Oh, but think of the opportunities, Queen Elisabeth. Midgar Academy is a prestigious institution. Surely you want your sister to shine on a broader stage?"

Elisabeth's glare deepened, but before she could argue further, Vivienne raised her hands, cutting them both off. "Hold on. Can someone explain why everyone keeps treating me like a doll to be passed around? I'm perfectly capable of making my own decisions."

Ding!

---

[Passive Skill Unlocked: Universal Head Pat Magnet]

Your charm and appearance make you irresistible to affectionate gestures from others, particularly older figures. Slightly increases charisma and likelihood of receiving unsolicited affection.

---

Vivienne stared at the notification, her expression a mixture of annoyance and resignation. "You've got to be kidding me."

The rabbit, perched smugly on her shoulder, whispered, "You're really racking up these passive skills. Maybe we should rename your system to Affection Simulator."

"I'm going for a walk. I need a break from this circus show," she said as she walked out the room.

20 minutes later

Vivienne stared blankly at her sister and Yukime, her crimson eyes filled with a mix of disbelief and resignation. She was currently sitting on the plush sofa in her chambers, enduring yet another round of enthusiastic head pats from Yukime, the Spirit Fox. The woman's snowy white hair and nine elegant tails swayed with an almost hypnotic grace as she beamed down at Vivienne like she was the cutest thing she'd ever seen.

"I don't see why you're so against it," Yukime said, her voice as silky smooth as her appearance. "The Midgar Academy for Dark Knights is prestigious, and you'll fit in perfectly. Just imagine all the friends you'll make."

"Friends?" Vivienne echoed flatly, trying to edge away from Yukime's reach. "I don't need friends. I need to not get dragged into ridiculous schemes like this."

Elisabeth, who was sitting nearby with a sparkling grin on her face, clapped her hands together. "Oh, but you'll look adorable in a school uniform! Think of it, Vivienne—a little blazer, a skirt, maybe even a ribbon in your hair!"

Yup, that's all it took for the Blood Queen to agree on the school thing. Vivienne in a cute uniform.

Vivienne shot her sister a sharp glare. "I'm 1,000 years old, Elisabeth. I don't think I need to be playing dress-up at an academy for kids."

"Technically, you're a loli, so it fits," Yukime chimed in, her tone far too cheerful.

Ding!

Vivienne groaned as the system chimed again, the notification appearing before her eyes.

---

[Passive Skill Unlocked: Huggable Aura]

Your diminutive appearance and natural charm make you irresistible to those with a nurturing or protective nature. Increases the likelihood of head pats, hugs, and unsolicited affection from older individuals (Mostly older women).

---

Vivienne rubbed her temples, her frustration mounting. "Of course. Because that's exactly what I need in my life—more people treating me like a doll."

Yukime tilted her head, one of her tails wrapping around Vivienne's arm like a fluffy restraint. "You're thinking about it the wrong way, Vivienne. The academy isn't just about learning; it's about building connections. If you're going to navigate the chaos of the Lawless City, having ties to powerful figures outside of it might prove invaluable."

Vivienne raised an eyebrow, begrudgingly acknowledging the logic. "And I suppose you recommending me to the academy has nothing to do with wanting me out of your fur?"

Yukime gasped dramatically, pressing a hand to her chest. "I would never! I simply want the best for you, darling. And besides…" She smirked, her purple eyes glinting mischievously. "I think you'll enjoy the academy more than you expect."

Elisabeth leaned forward, her excitement bubbling over. "It's settled, then! I'll handle all the preparations. Oh, and Yukime, we must make sure her uniform is tailored perfectly."

"Absolutely," Yukime agreed, her tails swishing with delight.

Vivienne buried her face in her hands, muttering, "My life is a circus."

The rabbit, perched smugly on the armrest, whispered in her ear, "Better get used to it, kid. School's going to be a whole new level of chaos."

Vivienne groaned. "Why does everyone in my life insist on making things harder for me?"

"Because you're adorable," Yukime and Elisabeth said in unison, their tones disturbingly in sync.

Vivienne let out a long sigh. Midgar Academy for Dark Knights, here I come. Please let the uniforms at least be tolerable.

====

Vivienne stood in front of the mirror in her dorm room, tugging at the hem of her school uniform skirt as she inspected her reflection. The uniform was undeniably cute—a navy and gold ensemble with intricate details that gave it an air of elegance. The high-collared blazer and ribbon tie gave her a sophisticated look, while the pleated skirt added just enough charm to soften the effect. Her silvery twin tails framed her blushing face as she tried to maintain a neutral expression.

"Well," she muttered, turning to the rabbit perched smugly on her desk. "At least they didn't stick me in something frilly or ridiculous. This is... tolerable."

The rabbit smirked, its top hat bobbing slightly as it hopped closer. "Tolerable? You look like you just stepped out of a prestigious academy brochure. This is going to be fun to watch."

Vivienne crossed her arms, glaring. "I don't need commentary from you. This whole thing is ridiculous. I'm an ancient vampire, and I'm being sent to school like some fledgling."

A knock at the door interrupted her grumbling, and Anna stepped inside, her ever-present icy demeanor firmly in place. Her crimson eyes briefly scanned Vivienne's attire before she gave a small nod of approval. "You wear it well, Princess."

Vivienne sighed. "Why does everyone insist on calling me cute or acting like this is perfectly normal? Shouldn't I be ruling a city or something?"

Anna's lips twitched slightly, almost as if she were suppressing a smile. "Even queens must learn diplomacy and strategy, Princess. Consider this an opportunity to observe and adapt."

"Sure, let's call it that," Vivienne muttered, grabbing her bag. "Let's just hope I don't end up causing a scene on the first day."

The rabbit snickered as Vivienne made her way to the door. "With your knack for stirring up trouble? Oh, it's only a matter of time."

Vivienne shot it a withering look before stepping into the hallway, ready—or not—for whatever chaos awaited her at the Midgar Academy for Dark Knights.
