The Limitless Naruto In Solo LEveLing

Chapter 15: Chapter 012.15

"Do you get all of that, Naruto?" Go Gunhee asked, after explaining Naruto's new role in the Hunter Association. They had big plans for him, and it wasn't just about being a typical hunter. Unlike joining one of the big guilds, where he'd mostly be raiding dungeons, this job was about keeping the power balanced between the big guilds and making sure they stayed in line with his strength. It was more like having a position of authority. But was this really what Naruto wanted?

Naruto leaned back in his chair, taking a moment to think about everything Go Gunhee had just told him. The chairman watched him patiently, waiting to hear what Naruto had to say.

"Chairman Go Gunhee," Naruto started, his voice steady and respectful, "I'm really grateful for the offer and the trust you and the Hunter Association have shown me. It's a huge honor to be thought of for such an important position."

Go Gunhee nodded, listening intently and clearly curious about what Naruto would say next.

"But," Naruto went on, "I need to be honest with you. Even though the authority and responsibility you're offering are big deals, my heart is set on being in the dungeons. After my first raid, I felt that's where I truly belong—facing monsters, pushing my limits, and getting stronger."

Go Gunhee looked at Naruto with a thoughtful gaze. "I understand," he said in a deep, calm voice. "It's not surprising that someone with your skills would be drawn to the excitement and challenge of battle. The dungeons are a unique place for personal growth."

Naruto nodded, glad that the chairman seemed to get where he was coming from. "Exactly. I believe I can do more by being out there in the action, rather than managing things from the outside. I want to take on what's inside those dungeons directly."

Go Gunhee leaned back a bit, his fingers laced together as he considered Naruto's perspective. "Your eagerness to push your limits is admirable, Naruto. It's not often you find someone who embraces the unknown with such enthusiasm."

"Thank you," Naruto said with a humble smile. "I think that's where I can make the biggest difference, not just for myself, but for everyone counting on hunters to keep the world safe."

The chairman nodded, respect shining in his eyes. "I understand your choice, and I won't hold you back. Your journey is yours to decide, and I admire your determination. Just remember, the Hunter Association will always welcome you if you change your mind."

Naruto stood up and gave a sincere bow. "Thank you for your understanding and support, Chairman Go Gunhee. I look forward to our paths crossing again."

Go Gunhee stood and shook Naruto's hand. "I'm sure they will. Good luck, Naruto Uzumaki. The world is watching, and I have no doubt you will rise to the occasion."

As Naruto was about to leave, Go Gunhee called out, a genuine curiosity in his voice, "Naruto, if you don't mind me asking, what are your next steps? Are you thinking about joining any guilds, or do you have other plans?"

Naruto stopped and turned back to the chairman, his face thoughtful. "I've thought about it, and I think I want to stay independent for a bit," he said. "I want the freedom to explore and push my limits without being tied to any one guild. This way, I can focus on dungeon raids and really work on improving my skills."

Go Gunhee nodded, his eyes showing both understanding and respect. "That's a smart decision, given what you're aiming for. Staying independent will give you the flexibility to go after the challenges you want without the restrictions that guild commitments can bring."

"Exactly," Naruto agreed. "There's so much out there to learn and experience. Right now, I just want to tackle different dungeons and see where that journey takes me."

"Remember," Go Gunhee said, his voice a mix of warmth and firmness, "the Hunter Association will always have its doors open for you. Whether you need guidance, resources, or just a place to turn to, we're here for you."

Naruto nodded gratefully, feeling reassured by the chairman's words. "I'll keep that in mind. And who knows? We might cross paths sooner than expected."

As Naruto stepped out, he bumped into Woo Jin Chul, who looked a bit surprised to see him exiting the room so soon.

"So, what have you decided?" Woo Jin Chul asked.

"Well, the chairman can fill you in on the details, but for now, I think I'm going to pass on joining the Hunter Association," Naruto replied, noticing Woo Jin Chul's slight nod of understanding. "But maybe later, who knows, right? I want to explore my life as a hunter a bit more, and I think staying independent is the best way to do that."

"Good. I wish you all the best in your future as a hunter," Woo Jin Chul said, extending his hand for a handshake. Naruto took it, appreciating the gesture. "But still, if you ever need help with anything, feel free to reach out to the Hunter Association or me anytime."

"Hmmm... About help. Can I meet the E-Rank Hunter from the double dungeon raid? Can you help me with that?" Naruto asked directly.

"Right now, he's still unconscious at the hospital. But if you want to meet him, I'll let you know when he wakes up," Woo Jin Chul replied.

"That would be great. Thanks, Chief Inspector Woo Jin Chul," Naruto said. "And, of course, if the Hunter Association ever needs help or finds itself in a situation where I can be of assistance, feel free to reach out to me. I'll do my best to help."

They parted ways, with Woo Jin Chul heading back into the chairman's room, while Naruto made his way to the elevator to leave the building.

"He reminds me of myself when I was his age. That fighting spirit, always eager to face the monsters," Go Gunhee remarked as he moved to the large glass window, looking out thoughtfully.

"Do you think he'll join any guild?" Woo Jin Chul inquired, standing by the door.

"I'm curious to see what he has planned for his future as a hunter," Go Gunhee replied. "I'll definitely be keeping an eye on him."
