The beast before them was a rank eight day beast ape. The hearts if the martial practitioners turned cold and a chill ran down their spine as they gazed at the water that was already forming at their legs.

"This is… the River of Time!"

Their eyes glistened with shock but there was little time to ponder over how such a magnificent place had appeared. The rank eight day beast ape held their gazes fixedly.

The martial warriors looked around, they were twelve in number and the weakest was at the peak of second tier of Acquisition realm. Natural selection had filtered out the weakest of them and the rest were either terrifyingly strong or had abundant luck.

They were prepared to fight the day beast ape even if their Qi fruits were almost completely expended.

Lu Zheng still channelled Strength Will. His confidence was on a whole new level. He took the first step to fight the beast.

All of a sudden, another beast appeared from the large waves of water. It was large and zoomed through the sky like a kite. It was a day beast rooster and it oozed pure rank eight aura.

The day beast ape snorted in annoyance and stretched its large arms. In an instant, it grabbed the day beast rooster and squeezed it till it burst into a bloody mesh of meat and intestines.

The martial warriors were too stunned. Lu Zheng took a step back hesitantly. A rank eight day beast rooster had just been instant-killed by the day beast ape. It was definitely not weak.

As if answering the question that had formed in their minds, the stone island appeared again and this time, the time path aura was even denser. It was like a bucket of cold water that poured down the spines of the martial warriors.

They turned and exchanged glances, a thought rapidly forming in their minds.

The River of Time was pouring downwards from the sky and in this time, strong waves were pouring from the sky like great hands. The martial warriors dove into the waves and swum upwards into the sky.

They were not flying as they could not fly in the River of Time. They were simply following the natural flow of the time path Secluded Domain of Heaven and Earth.

The rank eight day beast ape cocked its head as if it was trying to understand their actions. Its thoughts shifted and with a leap, it followed after the martial warriors.

"Shit! This bastard is actually following us!" Xiong Ba lost his nerves and cussed in a mix of anger and fear.

The rest did not dare to turn their heads as they swam upwards. They had already witnessed the strength of the day beast ape.

A thought formed in Lu Zheng's mind and he slowed and faced his back. He unsheathed Mei Luan and in one swing, a great change occurred. Ice Essence flourished and the temperature fell steeply. The portion of the River of Time before Lu Zheng turned into thick ice that slowed the day beast ape.

"Nice one!" Cangxiang Zihan did not hold back in praising Lu Zheng as he used his own methods too. Cloud Qi spiralled out of him and small tufts of foamy clouds formed around his body.

His speed suddenly tripled and he soon left the others in the dust.

"Cangxiang Zihan!" An Yin was greatly stunned. Lu Zheng and Cangxiang Zihan's actions seemed to show the rest that even if they were greatly suppressed, they could still use their methods.

Soon, different Qi burst out of the martial warriors as they increased their speeds. Even the earth path Gu clansman and the strength path Yu Er Dan that were not well versed in speed were not left behind. They were only slower than the rest.

Lu Zheng chuckled as ice Qi flowed from his aperture through his meridians. The water beneath him became like ice and with every step that he took, ice would form to support him before rapidly dissolving.

Everyone used their movement abilities to their best.

The rank eight day beast ape roared in anger as strong time path aura burst from its body. Its arms struck the ice that surrounded it and time reversed swiftly. The ice reverted back to water instantly.

The force of the impact created a large wave that quickly swept the martial warriors off balance and threw them around wantonly. Some were submerged while others were thrown into the sky.

Lu Zheng's eyes turned cold as he regarded the day beast ape that was quickly gaining on them: "Perhaps a fight is impossible to avoid"
