The Last King Of Darkness

Chapter 600: Great Victory (Part 3)

Flower of Humanity +4

Rod's eyes lit up, his face beaming with joy.

Nice!

I now have 8 Flowers of Humanity!

Liszt, Number 7, Number 9, you have passed the test and definitely have no connection with the Doomsday believers or Ancient Evil Thoughts.

Hahahaha!

What delighted him even more was another flash of golden light before him.

Divinity +50

Rod immediately looked toward the Obelisk in his mind; the Dream Realm was deeply connected with him, even without entering it, he could see any part of the Dream Realm.

Indeed, the divinity on the Obelisk had changed from 114 to 164!

Hahahahaha!

This feeling is simply amazing!

Rod laughed out loud.

I can finally obtain divinity at any time, no longer needing to wait for the stars to shine!

The tip of the Sun Tower truly possesses infinite power!

This fragment has come at just the right time!

In the Dream Realm, the Book of Knowledge and the doll were both indescribably joyful; this was the state most common for them.

The Book of Knowledge even cried out: "Wuwuwuwu, this is amazing! I've finally regained my senses! I'm not an idiot anymore! I swear! Wuwuwuwu!"

The doll's eyes also sparkled with divine light, understanding that the development of the Dream Realm would soon step onto the fast track.

Perhaps, in the near future, it would receive the shared divinity from its master, repairing the entire soul and possibly restoring itself to its original form.

"I hope that day comes sooner."

It murmured softly.

"I've waited far too long."

——

Liszt and his companions were eager to return to the Royal City, their determination to return to Trolian had never been stronger than at this moment.

Without supplies, continuing forward was impossible.

Anyway, the Black Fog Wall had dissipated, the Star Marrow Altar had been moved, and the monsters gathered because of the altar would disperse, leaving the route unobstructed.

Returning for repairs and retracing their route was a commonplace event for them.

Most deep adventures were like this.

But Rod did not agree.

"We've reached the twentieth level; let's take a look at the twenty-first as well."

To be honest, Liszt was extremely reluctant now.

He didn't want any more complications, safely returning the altar to the Royal City, researching its secrets, and finding the true explanation for the so-called "Eternal Sanctuary" and "Black Fog Great Wall" was what he most wanted to do now.

But in their minds, Rod had already occupied an irreplaceable and exalted position; honestly, even if Rod asked him to commit suicide right now, he would unhesitatingly stab the knife into his neck, cut off his head himself, and crush his heart, fearing he wouldn't die quickly enough.

Thus, despite being anxious, Liszt and his companions still unconditionally obeyed Rod's orders.

After stepping outside the pyramid, Rod glanced back.

Unfortunately, the pyramid was too sturdy; the mist from the Dream Ritual couldn't seep into its foundation, or else even the pyramid could be moved back to the Royal City.

Of course, the space within the Dream Realm isn't limitless, and the Dream Transmission Ceremony puts considerable pressure on the soul, so he couldn't manage to transport bigger structures.

Ascending the massive staircase, passing through the enormous iron gate, and traversing the grand corridor, Rod finally reached the top layer of the Divine Tower.

The dwelling of Baiyatris, the Evil Ancient God of Absurdity.

This was an incredibly twisted and bizarre Divine Temple, all its decorations and layout appeared chaotic, disordered, and awkward, defying conventions.

Absurdity was the first impression for all of them.

The temple was gigantic, clearly not meant for a god of human sizing.

From the bed embedded in a gigantic pillar, Baiyatris, the Evil Ancient God of Absurdity, was at least two hundred yards tall.

This was a Giant.

"Wonder if he's related to the King of the Deep Sea."

Rod thought, glancing around, seeing no monsters.

With an excited heart, they began their search of this ancient Divine Temple.

But clearly, they weren't the first to search here.

All valuable items within the temple had been thoroughly looted, leaving nothing behind.

The only gain was discovering a piece of writing on the gigantic pillar bed.

"At this final moment, I decided to ascend to the higher Spirit Realm. I know it would be pointless; my corruption is irreversible. The Black Fog is more absurd than absurdity; I am unwilling to accept this, it's unimaginable. I need to find its truth; perhaps the secret lies within the upper Spirit Realm."

After reading it, Rod's heart shivered.

The Evil Ancient God went to the higher Spirit Realm in the end?

He believed the secret of the Black Fog was hidden in the higher Spirit Realm?

This aligns with the Dream mission spoken of by the Book of Knowledge; this way, the Source Prophecy and the Dream Mission are not contradictory.

There might be some special relationship between Ancient God, higher Spirit Realm, and Royeger.

As for Asa, it might also have some truth.

Rod fell into contemplation until Liszt's startled call brought him back.

"What's this?"

Rod turned to see Liszt standing by a latrine embedded upside down in the ground, finding another flag.

It was identical to the flag found at the foot of the Sword Edge Mountain Range, only much more intact.

Two lines were written at the bottom left of the flag.

"The eternal fire of Saint Reel never dies!"

"White Sect, Aurora Research Group, first Aurora researcher, Adam Yareel."

Rod's heart jumped, instantly recalling the line of final words beneath Adam Yareel's skull in the Spirit Core of the altar.

It seemed Saint Reel was almost certainly another Fire King City.

One of the five Fire King Cities that survived alongside them during the Dark Epoch!

White Sect would definitely be their Church, much like the Holy Church of Trolian Royal City.

This flag is the White Sect's flag.

That "Lord O'Sullivan" was definitely the king of Saint Reel, though unsure which generation or whether he still lived.

Adam Yareel was the "first Aurora researcher" within the White Sect's Aurora Research Group.

The damaged flag beneath the Sword Edge Mountain Range likely belonged to Saint Reel's expeditionary force, remnants after their entire army was wiped out forcibly crossing the Black Fog Wall.

Uncertain if Adam Yareel was contemporary with the expedition.

Even the Dark Epoch lasted over eighteen hundred years.

But it's certain they belonged to the same Fire King City, the same Cult.

And the reason Trolian hadn't discovered traces of another Fire King City was thanks to the barrier of the Black Fog Wall.

Rod and Liszt exchanged glances, confirming their conjectures from each other's eyes.

Faced with such a significant discovery, no one spoke, an unknown sentiment rose within everyone's heart, at this moment, their desire to return to the Royal City became unstoppable.

Liszt packed away the flag, everyone's gaze fell on Rod, all waiting for him to give a command.

Rod exhaled deeply, waving his hand.

"Let's go home!"
