Chapter 547: Battle of the Source (Part 2)
Rod bowed gracefully, "Of course, I await that day, my lady."
Kashan snorted, swished her golden hair, and left the training ground.
Anna waved her tiny fist in front of Rod, "Hahaha, Rod, I'm going to get stronger again, I will definitely fight alongside my sisters."
Rod didn't spoil her mood, but he had seen Jessica's immense power and terrifying growth rate, thinking the only way for her to fight alongside her sisters might only be in her dreams.
But he said aloud, "Indeed, you are also a member of the Spiritual Woman Group."
Anna beamed with joy, skipping out, her tinkling laugh could be heard from afar.
For some reason, Rod felt a bit worried, he glanced at the Dream Realm, the Book of Knowledge and the doll were still in slumber, and the powerful soul had been on the Soul Altar for some time.
He was thinking of directly kindling the Star, but worried that without the guidance of the Book of Knowledge, he might not choose the most efficient Star.
"It's a pity that the Star Source is of no use to me."
Rod thought wistfully.
"I can only enhance my power through the Dream Realm, perhaps this is some sort of limitation..."
Rod sighed, not leaving the station, and found a room in the training ground to sleep.
"Hope you all wake up soon, I'll gain a lot of Divinity from this battle again..."
"Ah, my power growth is still too slow, why, even with so many powerful souls, am I still not invincible?"
"What exactly is the Dream Realm?"
"The previous master was so formidable, why did he still fail? How should I avoid repeating his mistakes? The Black Fog is truly terrifying..."
"What on earth created the Ancient Evil Thought?"
"Does the Fire Will truly exist?"
"Am I really the Divine Envoy of Fire? Is humanity truly heading for revival?"
"Sigh, what exactly is the legendary True King? Just how strong is it? Can I become the True King?"
Caught in wild thoughts, Rod gradually fell asleep.
But this time, he didn't enter a dreamless sleep. His soul seemed to drift invisibly, shuttling through chaos. When he came to, he was once again lying in the Dream Realm.
Though clearly, before falling asleep, he hadn't entered the Dream Realm. Regular sleep was important, allowing the soul to relax completely, repairing deeply hidden fatigue, something the Dream Rocking Chair couldn't achieve.
Rod propped himself up, finding he was lying beside a tombstone.
It was a fragment he obtained in Starry Sky City.
A blue rectangular semi-circular topped tombstone, with nothing particularly special about its appearance.
The tablet surface was gray, its edges carved with intricate patterns, with a line of text written in the language of the Dream Realm in the gaps.
"Those who sleep here shall eventually shine in eternity."
An ancient sense of time permeated from the tombstone, with several long scratches on the surface erasing most of the information.
Only at the very bottom, in bright red letters, was his name written.
"Rod of Trolian."
Ever since this tombstone appeared, it had shown no function.
The Book of Knowledge and the doll had fallen silent before its appearance, saying nothing about it.
So Rod had never paid much attention to it.
"What's going on?"
Rod looked around in confusion, the Dream Realm was unusually quiet, Asa, who usually muttered to himself, was curled up, hiding in the Crystal Wall sleeping.
The Book of the Future was nowhere to be seen, probably asleep on the bookshelf.
The Evil Ghost King was crouched at the foot of the Obelisk, its huge meat wings covering its head, its body rising and falling, clearly sleeping soundly as well.
"What happened? Why am I here?"
Rod had a thought, wanting to return to the Material World, but the feeling of his soul falling didn't appear, his spiritual body still remained in the Dream Realm.
"Hmm?"
Feeling uneasy, Rod immediately crossed his hands, making a Lightning Symbol he hadn't used in a long time.
But this time, the Lightning Symbol, which had never failed before, also failed.
The intense unease surged up like a tide. Rod suddenly felt his whole body's hair stand on end, as if a large block of ice was pressed against him from behind.
He whipped around, suddenly noticing an unknown gray fog permeating in the Dream Realm.
The heavy fog enveloped the familiar Obelisk, House of God, Star Square, and Soul Altar.
Leaving only him and the tombstone.
"What's happening?"
Rod felt his limbs turn cold, the chill spreading throughout his body, suddenly, there was a crack.
He spun around, only to find it was just a small stone falling from the mound.
"Geez, scared me..."
Before he could finish the word "jump", Rod was horrified to find black fog suddenly emanating from the blue-gray tombstone, cascading down from the top like ivy.
His name suddenly burst with intense red light, like a cry for help.
And above his name, a massive scratch was disappearing.
The fear in Rod's heart erupted, cold as waves sweeping up, an overwhelming urge forced him to close his eyes, but an even stronger will made him refuse.
The scratch vanished, as if it never existed, a black name gradually emerged in place of the original scratch.
At the moment he saw it clearly, Rod's eyes widened. It was a line of familiar text!
Blossoms on the Frosty Shore, Prince of the North Heigao'er!
"It's actually him?"
Rod felt a torrent of thoughts surge in his mind.
