the last hunter

Chapter 2: CHAPTER 2

"Just call me teacher from now on." spoke the teacher while trying to hid how proud he is by getting the best of his students ! Aiden was in fact the reason the school won a lot of championships when it came to archery. Of course there were others but none was able to win as many championships as Aiden could.

[would you like to make the class archer your main class?]

[yes]

[no]

He hurriedly choose [no] because from what he remembered in the past He was only able to pick two main classes with the drawback of not being able to change that. Of course this had it's ups and downs, having main class offered many more skills as someone levelled up while sub classes only offered one skill no matter how much one tried to level up. He made a rash decision when he chose the swordsman class the last time then he made his second choice as a healer. The second choice of his was necessary for him at least. Though it wasn't for that he would have been able to have his other class even stronger even when it was a sub class. It proved to be more useful than even main classes! He wondered how strong it would be when it became so.

He checked his stats and it started to look a little better and not to mention he got his first skill. Also He could feel his eye sight improving very slightly. He can now see stuff from further away! But it wasn't that big of a distance. That was something else classes had, someone would be able to have a passive effect from both main and sub classes yet the difference was how much effective it was and how much it took to improve.

With each level for the sub classes the passive effect becomes one percent better. While with each level up for the main classes their passive effect becomes ten percent better. Also just like skills main classes offer more than one passive effect but that was even harder to acquire than skills.

He noticed the teacher leaving the training field indicating that it was time for him to join the others while training. Yet he didn't follow him, he hesitated wondering if he was able to hit the fourth and last dummy now. His dexterity increased by 25% not to mention other things like his strength and eye sight. He clicked his tongue as he pulled one of the last two arrows from the quiver and pulled on the bow string. He could feel his arm shaking but it wasn't as bad as before due to his increased strength yet his arm was already almost reaching its limit from drawing the bow. He held his breath and with his slightly clearer sight it was slightly easier for him for to aim at his target. Without wasting a second he let go of the arrow hearing it whistle through the air and making its way to it target. He kept holding his breath yet again while watching yet unlike before the arrow landed on the target but it was five inches away from a perfect shot.

He gritted his teeth knowing he was almost there and pulled on the bow again while holding his breath. His arm shook more violently than before showing that he actually reached the limit but he did not flatter as he held his breath and with a simple thought the target became clearer allowing him to know where to exactly aim and with the last ounce of strength he had he released the string making the bow whistle through the air. He could notice the arrow breaking through the air while targeting the dummy. He prayed for it to land yet for some reason his prayers didn't work as the arrow was an inch away from landing a perfect shot.

"DAMMIT" Aiden shouted in frustration before throwing the bow to the ground. Some might think he was really close but he felt like he wasn't! He was meant to be stronger due to his experience but this body was so shit! Even if he got his stats back to the forties that wouldn't mean anything due to his skeleton build. So what if he was strong he doesn't even have the type of flexible body to express it completely!

5:30 pm

Aiden left the archery club feeling his body screaming with pain. His finger were just stopped bleeding from how much he pulled on the bow. His legs and right arm kept shaking from the toll it took him to pull the bow string not to mention the cardio he needed to complete. His teacher seemed to have wanted to make use of him as soon as possible and what was better than getting him back in shape? Thankfully the bow he used wasn't a long bow but rather an average one making it easier for him to use continuously. It's been three months since he left the club and since then he haven't been doing anything but sleep and barely eat. He started making his way back to his place noticing the sun coming down. After he entered he noticed the place still empty leading for him to click his tongue in frustration as his roommate was still not here. He didn't pay it much time as he will eventually meet with them and hit the shower making sure not to take too long before heading out. At this point the sun was already down and night time came. He pulled his phone trying to figure out how to get someone to pick him up and also drop him to where he want and after five minutes he finally figured it out. He got in and confirmed who he was to the driver and it was going to take him a while to even arrive at his destination. He decided to waste time by checking his stats and deciding what to do next.

Focus level 1

He was able to level up a little bit even getting closer to the next level. Thankfully classes where easier to level up unlike levelling up normally which was only possible through killing. Classes had many option from training to killing it made it easier to level up at the start but the exp becomes really low after every ten levels making training a little useless unlike killing monsters. Training can also help with levelling up skills! so there was still a good thing about the whole thing.

He suddenly felt the car stop and the driver told him that he have arrived at his destination. He got off and thanked him before his focus shifted to the mansion in front of him. Around this neighbourhood were other mansions yet the one he was looking at was one of the big ones.

He walked up to the gates slowly feeling like every step he made took hours. That was until he blinked and so his hand freezing close to the ring of the camera next to the gate. Gush this was harder than his battle with the demon king yet he didn't want to look like an idiot so he just pushed the ring button and waited.

"Who is it?" He heard a feminine voice from the other side. He could hear how busy she was and almost didn't have her full mind with this stranger. Who would even come here? They knew they weren't expecting a visitor.

Aiden wanted to answer but he felt the words stuck in his throat. He felt a since of longing when was the last time he heard that voice? He missed hearing it unlike everyone he came across this one he longed to hear for a very long time.

"Hello???" The voice on the other end repeated sounding confused for not hearing an answer. Did someone ring the door by accident? Was it an accident?

"Mom?" Aiden called out feeling like he couldn't hold himself any longer. He didn't want her to cut the line he didn't want her to leave.....

Not long after he saw the gates of the mansion open. He didn't waste time and walked urgently inside not paying attention to how the mansion looked from up close. He was so close he could see the door with his tears threatening to fall as he was reaching to knock he called out "MO-" Yet the moment was ruined as he saw the door slam open before he could open it making him instinctively back away fearing for his life. Aiden with a flabbergasted expression saw how the door barely held from the force that slammed it open and he looked ahead of him not knowing what to feel.

"MOM YOU COULD'VE KIL-" Yet he was cut off yet again by getting tackled to the ground! He wanted to scream in embarrassment from this whole situation. He also felt weird about not being able to breath before his eyes widened in horror about the realization!

In his arms seemed to be an angel that have fallen from heaven! Her beauty would bring many envious looks from many around her age maybe even many that were younger! Her hair was raven black and fell down reaching her waist. Hidden in the depth of her green eyes was nothing but warmth as if promising comfort to those that merely glance at them. Her innocent yet sad face would have caused many hearts aching in pain wondering what could have caused this. Even desperate to brighten up her mood like it was their life only purpose. She desperately hugged Aiden as if not believing he was here as if her own flesh and blood was just a hallucination due to her anxiety.

"Mom hey can you lik-" It was like she hugged him even tighter when she heard his voice! She was sure her son was real and she will be damn if she let him go! Yet he didn't try to push her away as he even felt the same was not sure if this was real but the tightness of the hug told him how real this all was. He hugged her with all the strength he could muster allowing the tears to fall. He felt so tired...he felt so broken.... He felt so empty... He felt lonely.... Andrew did his best to fill the gap in his heart but there was so much Andrew can do. He couldn't fill the gaps of his parents no one could.... He cried in his mother's embrace until the tears dried up.

Yet his eyes opened widely as he just noticed a huge shadow standing over them. If anyone questioned how did the angel in his arms fell from heaven they would be so far off the truth. The devil himself went and kidnapped her bringing her to this mortal realm. His red eyes where so scary it was looked like the gates of hell hiding many horrors and fury behind it's gates. His brown hair looked warm to the eyes yet his eyes made it look nothing close to warm. His beard was long almost reaching to the middle of his chest. He felt small in front of such demon and even more intimidated from him than the demon king. He saw his big hands reached down to what seemed like him wanting to snatch the angel away from him as if kidnapping her again.

He couldn't allow this to happen on his watch! He pulled the angel closer to him while turning her away from the devil as if showing his intent to never let go. This made the devil pause as he tilted his head from such act before he seemed a little irritated.

Aiden never even saw it before the hand of the devil turned to a blur and reached his like a whip. It happened so fast fast he didn't feel the pain at first yet it kicked in the next second.

"OUCH." Aiden screamed in pain as he covered his head. This pain stinged a lot for him!

"Mind letting go of my wife....... Son?" said the devil making sure to not hide the sarcastic tone when he said the last part.
