Chapter 81: Min Chae
The size of the door was about 10 meters in height and 10 meters in width. From the outside from what Kang-Ho could tell it seemed like a normal door expect for its size and the words written on it. After seeing the door from afar Kang-Ho had the sudden urge to study the door closely, so through the crowd Kang-Ho went in front of the door and started inspecting the door. Kang-Ho didn’t go too close though, he just stood on the spot where he could have a clear view of the door.
From the appearance up close Kang-Ho could tell that the door was indeed made of some kind of metal and the colour of the door did change because of the rust that covered the door. Kang-Ho could tell from close that the door’s colour wasn’t the same, the rust had covered it all. The rust was one of the factors that gave the door an ancient look, the other factor that gave the door an ancient look was the words inscribed on it. Although Kang-Ho was not an expert on ancient language or any other language but he could tell that the word that were inscribed on the door was not something that belonged to earth.
On top of all of that a light was escaping from the gaps of the door, the light was purple. Kang-Ho guessed that that was how they identified the dungeon Level; he had heard that level 3 dungeon gave off purple light. That’s all he knew about dungeon identification, Kang-Ho was not far from the truth but there was one more thing that was used to identify the dungeon level that was a device that measure the mana frequency that came out of the dungeon entrance. Although such devices were hardly seen in Busan.
“First time going to a Mass Dungeon?” Someone from the crowd asked Kang-Ho, as he was inspecting the dungeon.
Kang-Ho didn’t reply to the question he just turned around and nod in agreement. While he did so Kang-Ho also used his skill, All Seeing Eye on that person.
Name: Nam Jee
Age: 35
Level: 120
The man was carrying a sword on his waist and had one of his hand on the hilt. He seemed like a man who was always ready to fight.
“That was rude of me, I should have introduced myself first. Hi I am Nam Jee and these are my friends, she is Ki Jon and he is Ja Bak.” said Nam Jee aas he introduced his friends one by one.
Name: Ki Jon
Age:32
Level: 125
Name: Ja Bak
Age:30
Level: 120
Kang-Ho used his ability on them too. Nam Jee used Sword and shield, Ki Jon used crossbow and Ja Bak had a staff on him. The seemed confident as if this was not their first time going to a Mass Dungeon, so Kang-Ho decided to talk to them and see if they had any important information.
“I am Kang-Ho, and yes this is my first time going to a Mass Dungeon.” said Kang-Ho.
“Don’t worry, we all have had our first time on everything. Just make sure that you don’t run into someone important inside of the dungeon, and if you do Just try to run away. That’s the way we operate, and you might even be able to grab some skills and equipment if you are lucky enough.” said Ki Jon as she tried to comfort Kang-Ho. Others nodded in agreement.
Just like that they started to have a conversation, they talked about many things, talked about the people Kang-Ho should avoid. Kang-Ho just listened to them and sometimes he tried to asked about the dungeon itself but they always said that he would be briefed before entering the dungeon. While they were talking, a sudden commotion broke out among the crowd Kang-Ho was clueless as to what happened and he started to look around, then he noticed that everyone was looking at same direction.
Kang-ho too turned to the direction everyone’s eyes were on, to see what the fuss was about. Kang-Ho saw a man who was carrying a huge axe on his back and had 10 people following they seemed to be his bodyguard. The man looked to be in his mid-20s, he had a kind of symbol stuck to his chest, the symbol looked like a flaming sword. the most eye-catching thing about the man was the armour and the weapon he was carrying. His armour and the weapon were matching, it seemed it was a set item. Kang-Ho had heard that guilds were willing to kill for that kind of set in Busan. on top of that Kang-Ho could feel mana fluctuation on the armour and weapon. Kang-Ho was fascinated when he saw the item set, when he saw the item, he just wanted to study the item. Kang-Ho used his skill on the man.
Name: Min Chae
Age: 27
Level: 150
“He is Min Chae, inside the Mass dungeon if you by chance stumble upon this guy, just pray to god that he didn’t see you and run for you life. This guy is a maniac, he kills people like its his hobby. It does not matter what you did to him, you could have just been staring at him for some time and he would kill you if he was in a bad mood.” Said Nam Jee as he tried to avoid looking at Min Chae.
“He doesn’t fear consequences?” asked Ja Bak.
“Right now, we are safe because there are people from the Hunter Association and Black-Market present here. He would never dare to kill someone over their watch, but once they are not watching, no one can save the person that he wants to kill. The man reason for him to be so insolent is because of the Burning Sword guild. he is the son of the Guild master and his brother is a hot shot Hunter as well. So, no matter what he does he is protected from any harm.” Said Ki Jon as she spoke in a very low voice, fearing she would be heard.
“Burning Sword is located in Seoul and they are a mid-sized guild. Before dungeons appeared, his father used to be a business mogul with very deep pocket and had very powerful politician friends. Now is no different he still has power that we cannot fathom. So, his son doesn’t fear anyone except for the huge guilds, Hunter Association and Black market.” Said Nam Jee.
“He is a cowardly and slimy bas**rd, one time he offended a member from a Big guild, he immediately went to his knees and offered his apologies, and the funny part is that the man he offended was just a normal member of the guild.
That’s how much afraid he is of those three powers.” Said Ki Jon with a smirk on her face.
Kang-Ho used his skill on the bodyguards that Min Chae bought and they seemed to have the same level they were all 150.
Kang-Ho made sure to make a mental note of everyone who were resent there. It was almost 2 Pm but Kang-Ho could still not see Moon Jung.
