The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World

Sol stared at the ground and observed the Formation Arrays appear one by one below his feet. His gaze trailed from these Formation Arrays back towards the Lightning Array, before he cursed.

"Damn it, I made a mistake. This isn't the end of the hair we were supposed to start at to trace it back to the roots."

"The roots? What do you-?"

"Ah! No time to explain, just run! Get as far away from here as possible!!"

Before Yoon-Jae could finish his word, Sol yelled and, without another word, turned and dashed away from the Main Palace. Yoon-Jae gritted his teeth and then hefted Little Zeel in his arms before following him, along with others.

In just a split second, they were already several dozen meters away from the Lightning Arrays.

"Sol, what's going on?!"

"That fucking bastard wants to kill us, that's what!"

Mar-Dule angrily roared in response to Yoon-Jae's question, the fat on his body jiggling as he ran.

But Sol yelled back indignantly.

"I thought those Formation Arrays at the Main Palace were where the Grand Formation started, but it's not! So, when we tried to disable the Lightning Formation Array, all the other Arrays that were connected to it were triggered."

"Damn it, speak so I can understand!"

Yoon-Jae yelled in exasperation.

Mar-Dule, who was running alongside them with his face flushed red, interjected with an explanation of his own.

"Bastard Yoong-Jae! Think of it like you're trying to eat a strand of noodle, but instead of starting at the beginning, you took a bite of the middle. Sure, you could eat the noodle faster, but that other half is still there! In other words, we started disabling this Grand Formation Array from the middle instead of where it starts. No, we didn't even start in the middle but at the very end because those Formations back there are the Core of the entire fucking Grand Formation Array!!"

Hearing this, everyone finally understood somewhat, but Ji-Hoon couldn't help but ask in a panic.

"But if that is the end of this Grand Formation Array, the Core Formations, where does this Grand Formation Array start?"

Everyone turned to look at Sol, who responded by looking ahead. It took a while, but a thought suddenly struck them, and their faces instantly turned ghastly pale. That was because they realized this Grand Formation Array was covering everything, so where they should have actually started disabling the Formations was the Outer Courtyard!

Sol should have known.

It was his fault.

Why were the Pavilions in each of the Courtyards so intact? Why were there no Spirit Beasts here?

As the group ran, Formation Arrays radiating terrifying power suddenly appeared below them.

Sol looked at them, and a ghostly dark light appeared in his eyes. His face then twisted into an ugly expression.

'My Heavenly Eyes are unable to see through their concealment method. That's why I wasn't able to detect them before when we were walking by here.'

Even as the Formations Arrays appeared below them one by one, Sol wouldn't have known they were there if they hadn't appeared.

"We aren't going to be able to leave the Courtyards before these things kill us!"

Heon-Tae yelled in panic.

On cue, Little Abdu suddenly leaped from Sol's head, and his body morphed into his original appearance of a Nian Beast.

As much as the others were shocked by this, they still followed Sol to leap onto Little Abdu's back. Then, with a swoosh, Little Abdu left a trail of afterimages as he rushed to leave the three Courtyards.

Behind them, the disturbance of the Lightning Array had caused the others to flicker to life. From that starting point, every single Array in the three Courtyards was provoked awake.

The magnitude of this crisis was indescribable.

With this amount of Formation Arrays activating all at once, even Spiritual Realm cultivators of the highest level will be vaporized in an instant.

Within a few seconds, Little Abdu's ghastly black figure had slithered its way out of the Main Court, but just as he entered the Inner Courtyard, the Spatial Distortion Formations inside this Courtyard roared to life.

A powerful spatial restrictive force spread out to cover the entirety of the three Courtyards.

A second after that, the Gravity Formation Arrays activated, sending down heavenly mountain-like pressure in the surroundings, crushing the buildings in the process.

Before Sol and the others were crushed to death, Little Abdu made a split-second decision.

Sol and the others suddenly vanished from Little Abdu's back. They then appeared in a dark void, where a large black Palace filled with cracks silently floated in place.

Having been in a state of panic due to the deadly situation, it took a moment for the boys to register that they had been transported to this place.

They were shocked by the Palace, which was in no way inferior to Immortal Dai Shen's Palace. But as they laid eyes upon this monstrosity that almost blended into the void, their bodies were suddenly pulled towards its open doors by a strong suction force.

After slamming onto the floor inside the Palace Hall and rolling a few times, Sol immediately leapt up.

Looking at his fingers that were turning black at their tips, it was only then that he realized the void outside contained a strange energy that was eating away at his life force.

A green light glowed on his hand and removed the corrosion on his fingers.

"What is this place? How did we end up here?"

Cheong-Su asked as he went over to check on his little brother.

Sol looked around the Palace and saw a pile of storage rings stacked up to almost reach the ceiling. He then turned and glanced out the Palace doors. That strange energy in the void had formed a whirlpool around the Palace.

"This is someone's Heavenly Palace."

Yoon-Jae said with a solemn expression.

"It belongs to Little Abdu; he brought us here."

In the outside world, after Little Abdu sent Sol and the others inside his Heavenly Palace, he transformed back into his cat form and clawed at the void.

With a ripping sound, the void tore apart; however, the Spatial Distortion Arrays caused this opening to crumble.

Little Abdu frowned at this but clawed at the void again. This time, he circulated more of his power.

With a loud bang, his claw ignored all the Formation Arrays' influences and tore open the void. Afterward, Little Abdu leapt in before the tear in space closed behind him.

Not even a second later, the Spatial Distortion Arrays, the Gravity Arrays, and a few weaker Arrays similar to the Lightning Arrays activated throughout the entirety of the three Courtyards.

The result of this catastrophic event wasn't a flashy and dramatic explosion.

All the Pavilions and a good chunk of the ground around the Main Palace merely turned to dust before scattering away.

This was even more terrifying than a massive explosion. Nothing remained of the three Courtyards.

The Main Palace alone stood there with a barren land hundreds of meters in radius around it.

The Lightning Arrays crackled, and due to their numbers, it seemed as if a thunderstorm was happening on land.

But even the weather seemed to have been affected by these Formations Arrays as dark clouds started to appear in the sky, and before long, blue flashes of lightning bolts began flittering in the clouds.

This scene looked straight out of a fantasy.

A sea of azure lightning was rampaging on land, while blue bolts of lightning danced in the sky, both unleashing chaos upon heaven and earth.

The cacophony of noises that this created could even be faintly heard by the other disciples in dimension.

Even the Elders of the Martial Alliance Academy, who were struggling to get the Multidimensional Teleportation Array fixed, felt the aura of the Formation Arrays seep out of the void.

This gave them a reason to believe something had happened to the disciples inside, and it immediately sent them into an uproar.

It prompted their pace to get the dimension open to increase tenfold!
