Chapter 21: CHAPTER 21: RESCUE MISSION 2
As Kael pulled out of the driveway, the Ninja 9000's tires barely made a sound on the pavement. He felt a rush of adrenaline as he accelerated, the bike's speed and power thrilling him. Ava's voice came through the comms system built into his helmet, "Remember, stealth mode is activated by the switch on your left handlebar. Use it when you get close to the castle."
Kael nodded, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. He could feel the weight of his katana against his back, a reassuring presence. He thought about Xanthe, held captive by the enemy, and his determination grew.
As he approached the castle, Kael flipped the switch, and the bike's engine purr softened even further. He slowed, taking in the surroundings. The castle loomed above, its sails creaking in the gentle breeze. Kael spotted guards patrolling the perimeter, their flashlights casting eerie shadows.
He pulled out his katana, the blade glinting in the moonlight. "Time to get to work," he whispered to himself. With a deep breath, Kael crept forward, the Ninja 9000 silent as a ghost. He was ready to take on whatever lay ahead, his heart pounding with anticipation.
Kael stuck inside the building, his ninja 9000 left behind.Kael moved stealthily through the corridors, his katana at the ready. He entered a room filled with guards, their eyes scanning the area. Kael took down the first guard with a swift strike to the neck, his blade slicing silently. The second guard turned, but Kael disarmed him and delivered a kick to the chest, sending him crashing to the ground.
In the next room, Kael found a group of guards huddled around a table. He snuck up behind them, taking down the first guard with a silent strike. The others turned, but Kael's blade flashed in the dim light, taking them down one by one.
He continued onward, entering a kitchen filled with guards. Kael took down the first guard with a strike to the shoulder, then disarmed another and used his own sword against him. The others fled, but Kael pursued, taking them down in the corridors.
Finally, Kael reached a large chamber, where Baron sat with Phoenix, Lilith, and Shadow. He spoke to Lena through the earpiece, "Hack the electricity." The lights flickered, and the room fell into darkness.
Confusion erupted, but Phoenix sensed Kael's presence. "He's here," he growled. The sound of swords clashing echoed through the room, followed by Shadow's groans.
They looked around and saw no one, kael swiftly gave Shadow another cut, shadow groaned again with anger in his face trying to locate kael in the dark. Then Phoenix and Shadow at the same time saw kael run down the hallway silently in the dark, Phoenix ordered shadow to go after him.
Shadow ran after him and followed him into a dark room, he could not find kael, but he heard his voice.
"You call yourself a ninja and you could not detect my movement." Kael taunted.
Shadow replied, "let's say you are too good at what you do."
"And then you are bad at what you do." Kael said from within the darkness.
"You want to know how bad I am? Come out and see." Shadow said preparing his sword.
Then kael strike from within the darkness, shadow sensed it and blocked the strike and the fight began. Kael and Shadow clashed in a flurry of strikes, their blades ringing out as they fought through the corridors. Shadow unleashed a devastating kick, but Kael blocked it with his katana, the force sending them both crashing through a nearby wall.
They found themselves in a narrow room, the walls closing in around them. Shadow struck again, his blade slicing through the air. Kael parried the blow, but Shadow's speed and agility allowed him to land a series of swift kicks, sending Kael stumbling back.
Kael recovered quickly, his katana flashing in the dim light. He launched himself at Shadow, their blades clashing in a shower of sparks. The force of their blows sent them crashing through another wall, into a large room.
The room was filled with crates and barrels, but Kael and Shadow didn't hesitate. They fought on, their blades slicing through the air, their movements a blur. They shattered crates and sent barrels crashing to the ground, their fight unrelenting.
As they battled, they broke through wall after wall, their path of destruction leading them deeper into the castle. Finally, they emerged into the large chamber where Baron, Lilith, and Phoenix waited.
The three ninja masters watched in awe as Kael and Shadow fought on, their blades clashing in a frenzy of steel. The battle raged on, the two fighters exchanging blows, neither gaining the upper hand.
But Kael's determination and skill eventually paid off. With a swift strike, he took down Shadow, the ninja crashing to the ground at Baron's feet. Kael stood victorious, his chest heaving with exhaustion, his katana dripping with blood.
Baron's eyes narrowed, his voice cold. "Impressive, Kael. But you'll never leave this place alive." Phoenix stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Let's finish this."
Phoenix charged at Kael with a fierce cry, his movements lightning-fast. Kael, still catching his breath from the fight with Shadow, was caught off guard. Phoenix's fist connected with Kael's jaw, sending him stumbling back.
Before Kael could recover, Phoenix landed a swift kick to his stomach, followed by a series of rapid-fire punches to his face. Kael tried to defend himself, but Phoenix's speed and agility proved too much.
With a final, devastating combination of strikes, Phoenix sent Kael crashing to the ground, unconscious. The whole fight lasted mere seconds, Phoenix's superior skill and strength evident in every move.
Kael lay motionless on the ground, his body battered and bruised, his eyes closed in unconsciousness. Phoenix stood over him, his chest heaving with exertion, his eyes gleaming with triumph.
Baron nodded in approval. "Well done, Phoenix. You've taken down the intruder." Lilith smiled, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
And with that, Phoenix and the others dragged Kael away, his unconscious body limp and helpless..
