The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1985: Given Freedom, Who Would Choose to Be Caged?

"You kid, are you really that kind-hearted?"

The Dark Ancestral Dragon's cold eyes carried undisguised mockery: "Even though your abilities aren't all that impressive, your little schemes are numerous. Just say it—what do you want me to help you with this time?"

Carson Flores wasn't embarrassed at all about being seen through.

There's no such thing as a free lunch!

Even though you're the Dark Ancestral Dragon and incredibly powerful, you've never liked me, so naturally, you wouldn't genuinely help me like Delarosa. In that case, isn't negotiating and making deals with you the logical thing to do?

"Senior, your insight is truly unparalleled; there's nothing you can't see through."

The Dark Ancestral Dragon sneered at Carson Flores's flattery: "Get to the point—your flattery skills aren't nearly as sharp as your schemes."

Carson Flores chuckled and said leisurely: "I have a pagoda, in which there's a world of its own, vast and boundless. If senior is willing, you could reside in the tower. This tower can obscure heavenly secrets and sever your ties with another, meaning staying in the tower is no different from being in this Trapped Dragon Formation."

"I've recently had an idea to raise a batch of giant beasts with ancient bloodlines, letting them fight for me. However, although these ancient giant beasts are strong, due to their bloodlines, they are arrogant and hard to make them submit to someone from the Human Race like me."

"Senior, you are the Ancestor Dragon, and the Dragon Clan is originally the most powerful among demonic beast races, and you are the most powerful in the Dragon Clan. Therefore, I would like to invite senior to oversee the tower, and teach a lesson to those disobedient ones, making them warriors of sorts, to fight for me."

The Dark Ancestral Dragon sneered: "So you want me to be your puppet and help you train a demonic beast army?"

Carson Flores said with a smile: "Why would senior say that, and where does this notion of a puppet come from? Isn't it boring for you to lie alone in this void? I'm offering you a better place to stretch freely and live freely—wouldn't that be better? As for taming those demonic beasts, isn't it just child's play for senior? With senior's strength, it shouldn't be difficult, should it?"

The Dark Ancestral Dragon sneered: "You even resort to provocation—do you really think I'd fall for that?"

Carson Flores said with a smile: "This is merely a statement of facts, not provocation. Senior should know, if I want to release you, I'd have to destroy the Trapped Dragon Formation on this sword, which means destroying this Dragon Roar Sword. This is my best weapon right now, with senior's blessings, it's incredibly powerful."

"Releasing senior would actually be weakening myself; if I can't compensate for that loss, wouldn't I be losing out?"

Carson Flores spoke fluently, completely indifferent to the Dark Ancestral Dragon's mockery.

It's business talk, take it slow.

He couldn't believe that the Dark Ancestral Dragon would rather curl up in this void like eternal night than accept his proposal. After all, for him, it's hardly an issue.

Who would choose confinement over freedom?

Though the Ethereal Pagoda may not be as vast as the world outside, it's still a world on its own, much better than this dark void, right?

As expected, the Dark Ancestral Dragon was tempted.

"Haha, aren't you afraid I'll break the tower and escape?"

Carson Flores said with a smile: "Though I trust senior, for our mutual enjoyment together, and to reduce unnecessary troubles and conflicts, how about senior makes a blood oath to stay safely in the tower while I look for a way to sever the ties in the future?"

The Dark Ancestral Dragon, having dealt with Carson Flores before, more or less knew the kind of person Carson was. Whatever this guy does, safety always comes first.

If he didn't make a blood oath, even if Carson Flores didn't tame those giant beasts, he definitely wouldn't release him.

He was all about being cautious!

Since he dared to let him out, he surely had ways to keep him in check.

The Dark Ancestral Dragon was quite displeased; although he was incredibly powerful, capable of blowing this insolent kid away with a breath, he was instead constrained by numerous vows, unable to do anything about him.

It's indeed annoying!

Displeased as he was, the Dark Ancestral Dragon also clearly knew, if it weren't for Carson Flores, with his temperament, he'd have perished alongside that self-proclaimed righteous morning star long ago, never surviving.

Though Carson indirectly coerced him, he did save his life, and most importantly, prevented him from falling into that guy's hands and being killed and devoured.

"Alright, if that place is good enough and spacious, I wouldn't mind helping you deal with those disobedient guys. After all, staying alone is indeed a bit dull..."

Carson Flores smiled slightly: "Do you swear?"

Although somewhat irritated, the Dark Ancestral Dragon was left with no choice but to make another blood oath as Carson Flores wished.

Carson Flores laughed: "Then I'll head back. Once you see the formation collapse, come out quickly. If you hesitate too long and get trapped in the void, don't blame me."

In the Ethereal Pagoda, Carson Flores opened his eyes and gave a slight smile to Delarosa nearby: "Delarosa, he agreed, we can let him out now!"
