Chapter 38: Trinity (3)
Julian kept himself balanced in the air. The breeze of the wind upheld him and he felt like something was keeping him from falling.
He didn't know what it was, but of course, his mind was too focused on Bonrick's beam.
"I need to remember…"
Julian muttered, glancing at the beam moving at slow a speed.
"What am I remembering? What is it that I need?"
-This is spell arts Julian… you may not know how to use it but with careful observation, I'm sure you can do it.
"…!"
The words of Nivel spoke into his mind and he was reminded of what he was taught from today.
"That's right… Spell Arts… can I really do it?"
[Time Remaining: 7 seconds…]
As the system notification popped before his eyes, all he could hope for was to remember what happened during today.
Nivel's attack, his technique, his output, and his power.
All of it was a mind game that Julian had to play.
Can I replicate what he had done?
Even though he doubted himself, he had to go for it because everything was riding on this one attack.
For not everything is guaranteed, but a thought could feel so certain.
Julian closed his eyes and fell deep into his mind.
[Brain Of Empyrean Is Reacting!]
He recollected images and movements within that exact moment of Nivel's attack.
The hand movement, the footwork, the mana flow state and, most importantly, the output of the attack.
His mental replay of Nivel triggered his body's movement.
Replicating each micro and miniscule muscle movement within Julian's body frame.
[Trinity Trait Has Been Triggered…]
[Trinity Ability: Replication (LV.1 MAX) Has Activated!]
Opening his eyes, he clasped his left hand around his right wrist, his entire body leaned forward towards Bonrick's attack.
WOM!!!!
The power and emersion of energy flowed through his body like water and from each single finger tip a small sphere of light ignited with an intense flow.
"This is it… my first spell and my last attack."
As the sphere of light on Julian's finger tips glowed more fiercely, they enlarged with the last few seconds that remained.
3…
RAH?
As Bonrick spotted a massive, moon-eclipsed ray of light, his face fell into a frown.
2…
With everything matched in through the body of Julian, he felt a sensation unlike anything he had experienced before.
His first magic spell and incantational cast had a moment of synchronization.
Not just with his body, but also his mind and soul.
What he had felt just now.
Was Perfection.
Perfection in that, with this cast, he didn't feel the weakness of having an incorrect input of mana or a misplacement with his power.
"What is this feeling?"
Julian wondered as bolts of electricity flashed around him.
That phenomenon is what mages call.
A Perfect Cast.
1…
"Spell Arts Of Magica… Fourth Technique: Forceful Hand,"
WOM!
From the heavens, five rays of light descended, clashing with Bonrick's demonic beam.
Just as Bonrick had thought he was pushing Julian's attack back, the five rays of light converged, merging into a single, blinding beam of immense power.
"…!"
And now Bonrick's attack was getting pushed back faster than before, its energy dwarfing the demonic blast.
The giant's eyes went wide with horror at the uselessness of his attack. Despite everything he had, it was already too late for him.
SHAAAAAA!
The combined beam struck Bonrick with the force twice more than Ezekiel's previous attack.
Without a shreiking scream to be let out, Bonrick closed his eyes, accepting death.
BOOM!
When Julian's attack hit the ground, a massive implosion of force erupted with a loud bang, one that spread to the ends of the forest, reaching Oakwood town.
"Haah… I finally did it-"
As Julian fell towards the ground, he had no more energy left to spare.
Just as he was going to hit head first, a light reach of hands touched his back and he landed gently on the ground.
-We did just as you said Grand Spirit…
-Are we good to go now??
-You may all leave. Those who wish to stay can if they want.
"mhmm…"
Julian opened his eyes for a faint moment to hear the voices speaking, and what he saw was a line of glowing mystical creatures before him.
"Congratulations, ⬛⬛⬛⬛... you did it."
"Ah… what a pleasant dream. Are you a fairy?"
Julian spoke towards a small looking elf, with white long hair that flowed down to her shoulders. She had wings and emerald green eyes.
"…Can you see me?"
"I can… and those other massive things behind you as well-"
Just as Julian was about to say another word, his white hair faded away and once more he fell asleep.
Despite her unchanging expression, Eurus felt incredibly relieved by Julian's reassurance.
"Then let's meet again one day. Descendant of Inertia."
POOF!
Eurus changed into her bird like form and picked up Julian.
As she flew over to Ezekiel's body, she placed the two together by a tree.
Right before she left, she zoomed up to see the damage of Julian's attack.
It was pretty safe to say the camp was destroyed. To be exact, the intense power of Julian's attack overwhelmed those caught in it and caused all trees within 15 meters to bend backward.

System Notes:
[Replication: This ability allows the user to copy a technique or skill by observing it. However, it requires two gifts: Brain of Empyrean and The Divine Eyes of Convergence. Brain of Empyrean grants exceptional memory and analytical abilities, allowing the user to absorb and process information quickly and accurately. The Divine Eyes of Convergence allow the user to perceive minute details and subtle movements, capturing every nuance of a target's actions. Together, these gifts let the user observe a technique, analyze it, and then replicate it.]
[Limitations: Replication is not a passive ability. The user must consciously activate it and focus. The user can only replicate techniques within their physical and magical capabilities. Each successful replication allows for the skill to be used an infinite amount of times.]
[Additional Information: The replicated technique is limited by the user's skill, but they can adjust the power and execution. This means they can perform a weaker or stronger version of the copied technique.]
A.N:
As long as humans can see spirits, spirits would inherently have the power to physically lift them. The reason for this is unknown. However, spirits in animal form can lift humans as well.
