The Exorcism Began in America.

Chapter 118 Ring

Standing in the living room, Chu Feng watched the Evil Spirit circling him within the mist, just as his Spiritual Perception indicated. Suddenly, his body flashed with golden light, and seizing the opportunity, he threw a punch.

"What the hell are you spinning for!"

BANG. Chu Feng felt a soft, yielding impact on his fist.

In an instant, the Spiritual Power that had been contained in his fist finally found an outlet, bursting forth.

"AHHH!" A painful scream erupted abruptly as the Evil Spirit's body slammed heavily onto the ground.

Chu Feng's Spiritual Power spread over the Evil Spirit's body, diffusing and causing its limbs to continuously disintegrate into countless wisps of gray mist.

Time passed, second by second.

Eventually, the Evil Spirit's body could no longer withstand the erosion of Spiritual Power. It collapsed, transforming into a darker shade of gray mist that floated above the room's floor.

TING. A crisp metallic clink suddenly echoed.

The mist filling the living room began to spiral, increasing in speed. In the blink of an eye, a vortex of mist formed in the middle of the room.

The spinning mist churned the air, causing items in the living room to rattle and rustle.

Once all the mist had dissipated, tranquility returned to the living room. An ancient-looking bronze ring lay where the vortex had vanished.

Hm? Did it drop some loot?

After casually turning off the recorder, Chu Feng willed it, and the ring flew up, swiftly landing in his outstretched palm.

The face of the ring was a dark black disc, about one centimeter in diameter.

Engraved on the disc was a complete Hexagram.

At the center of the Hexagram was a pattern that Chu Feng found very familiar.

Pisces?

Looking at the pattern on the ring's face, Chu Feng was still somewhat unsure. How could a ring related to something Bizarre be engraved with a symbol of the Zodiac signs?

The ring was unremarkable. Aside from its ancient appearance, it held no particular collectible value.

Chu Feng carefully examined the ring with his Spiritual Perception but found nothing unusual, as if it were merely an ordinary trinket.

If he hadn't personally witnessed the ring absorbing that Bizarre entity, he might have carelessly tossed it into some corner.

Interesting! After pondering the ring in his hand, Chu Feng placed it between his thumb and index finger.

Golden light flickered on his hand as his fingers began to slowly apply pressure to the ring.

A minute passed, but the ancient ring showed no change in shape, as if Chu Feng hadn't exerted any force at all.

If not for the indentations on his fingertips, Chu Feng might have doubted he had exerted any force at all.

Such a hard ring!

Releasing his fingers, Chu Feng looked at the ring resting again in his palm and murmured with some wonder.

Right... I still have this! Chu Feng suddenly remembered the Demon Hunting Blade in his Storage Space.

CLANG!

Taran, waiting in the car outside, was still on the phone giving orders to her subordinates when she suddenly heard a loud metallic clash from the direction of the wooden cabin.

After a brief instruction over the phone, Taran hastily hung up. She got out of the car and peered in the direction of the sound, hoping to see Chu Feng.

After some time, Chu Feng finally emerged from the villa, a thoughtful expression still on his face.

"What's wrong, Chu Feng? That loud noise just now—was there a problem with the Exorcism?" Seeing Chu Feng emerge, Taran hurried over.

Shaking his head gently, Chu Feng's mind was still immersed in what had just transpired.

He handed the recorder to Taran, then pulled open the car door and got in.

Leaning against the seat, he stared at the unscathed ring in his palm, once again lost in thought.

Once Taran had secured the recorder, she also got into the car. Seeing Chu Feng deep in thought, she didn't disturb him but signaled the driver and then resumed her unfinished work.

More than an hour later, the two had returned to the Exorcism Agency.

As soon as they entered, Debbie hurried over. "Mr. Chu Feng," she reported in a low voice, "Mr. Karl has been waiting for you in the reception room all this time!"

"Mm, thank you for your hard work."

Chu Feng nodded and turned directly towards the first-floor reception room.

CLICK. The soft sound of the reception room door opening instantly roused Senator Karl, who was sitting on the sofa, lost in thought with his eyes closed.

He opened his eyes just in time to see Chu Feng closing the door.

"Mr. Chu Feng, that Bizarre entity..." Senator Karl's voice was filled with anticipation.

"It's been dealt with," Chu Feng said with a smile, walking into the room and sitting on the sofa opposite Senator Karl. "The recording is with Manager Taran. If you wish to see it, you can ask her."

"I knew it... I just knew it! With you handling it, Mr. Chu Feng, it was sure to be resolved." Senator Karl's expression was intensely emotional, the corners of his eyes even a little moist.

After a long moment, Senator Karl's emotions finally settled. Chu Feng took the opportunity to extend an invitation.

"Senator Karl, would you care to come to my office? There are some matters I'd like to discuss with you."

"Of course, I'd be honored!"

Although Senator Karl didn't know Chu Feng's purpose, he was quite willing to have a private conversation with the owner of this Exorcism Agency.

Moreover, Chu Feng had just avenged him. Both emotionally and logically, he couldn't possibly refuse this request.

Thus, under Chu Feng's guidance, the two soon took the elevator up to his office.

Once they were seated in the office, Chu Feng asked, "Senator Karl, are you at all interested in becoming a superhuman?"

Senator Karl, his emotions now settled, had regained his political acumen.

"Mr. Chu Feng, are you referring to that newly released Spiritual Power Awakening Potion?" Senator Karl glanced at Chu Feng in surprise, then shook his head.

"That Potion is too risky," he continued. "I wouldn't recommend you entertain any ideas about it.

Furthermore, according to my information, the Potion will initially only be sold to the Military. Later, it's planned to be offered primarily to various small and medium-sized countries."

"As for ordinary people, they'll only get a very small share. The price will be exorbitant, and the effects are far from guaranteed."

Hearing this, Chu Feng smiled and shook his head. "Senator Karl, I'm not talking about that unreliable Spiritual Power Awakening Potion."

Chu Feng stood up and walked over to Senator Karl. He stared intently into the senator's eyes, somewhat clouded by age, and said slowly,

"What I mean to ask is, have you ever considered becoming a superhuman—one who has awakened Spiritual Power—without any side effects?"

"And, in doing so, also obtain a significantly longer lifespan?"
