The Exorcism Began in America.

Chapter 114 Director Sylvan

Noon, inside an apartment in Sanford's city center belonging to Jessica.

Jessica stood before Chu Feng with six officers donned in deep black police uniforms, all serving at the Sanford Police Department.

"Mr. Chu Feng, America's First Exorcist. I believe everyone is quite familiar with him!"

The six officers didn't speak, but their eyes were intently fixed on Chu Feng, excitement evident on their faces.

Jessica, seeing their reaction, wasn't surprised. She merely chuckled and continued, "Mr. Chu Feng is our boss. The Awakening Elixir we use for awakening, the Spirit Viewing Technique we practice, and the Spirit Essence that enhances our strength—all are provided by Mr. Chu Feng."

After hearing Jessica's introduction, an uproar went through the group.

"The First Exorcist is our boss? That's amazing!"

"I heard he just dealt with those three big eyes in Portland. To think he came straight here!"

As the newest member among them, Officer Jefferson found this almost unbelievable. He never imagined that the supporter behind this small exorcism organization was the legendary First Exorcist of America! And yet, here he was, standing right before them, smiling.

"Gentlemen, I apologize for not having had the time to visit sooner," Chu Feng said with a smile, clearly in a good mood. "The main reason for my visit today is to meet you all and to hear any suggestions you might have for the agency." These people, after all, would undoubtedly become a trump card for him in the future.

"Mr. Chu Feng, I have a suggestion..."

「An hour later」

The first meeting of the Sanford, Texas Exorcism Division of the Police Department concluded perfectly.

The afternoon streets of Sanford were beginning to feel warm, and there were noticeably fewer pedestrians.

"Jessica, you'll still have to work hard on the development here!" Chu Feng said, taking out three High Level Spirit Essences and handing them to her. "Also, your previous work was very good. Our main development personnel can indeed be these officers. If we could recruit everyone from the Sanford Police Department, then the Sanford Police Department could be completely renamed the Sanford Exorcism Police Department!"

There was another thought Chu Feng didn't voice aloud: If this continued, the entire Sanford Police Department might eventually fall into his hands. Moreover, if this approach worked here, why couldn't it continue to expand? He envisioned it growing until every police department in Texas, and even other organizations, left their mark on the star chart in his mind.

BRRING! BRRING!

As they were strolling, Jessica's phone suddenly rang.

"Hello, Chief?"

"Ah... Mr. Chu Feng?" Jessica glanced at her boss beside her in surprise.

"Okay, I'll pass your invitation on to him!"

"Alright, goodbye!"

After hanging up, Jessica looked at Chu Feng with a puzzled expression. "Boss, are you well acquainted with our chief?"

"We've met once. Why?"

"He wants to invite you to his house for a cup of coffee tonight."

"Oh?" Chu Feng's thoughts raced. He wondered what Chief Silvan, Boris's classmate, wanted.

He stood there thinking for a moment before finally agreeing to the invitation. "Alright. You can take me there tonight." After all, meeting him seemed to hold no harm.

「Evening soon arrived.」

Jessica, having finished work for the day, drove Chu Feng to a small villa and stopped outside.

"This is it, Chief Silvan's home."

Sitting in the passenger seat, Chu Feng observed the exquisitely decorated villa before him, his gaze contemplative. After a quick observation, he noted no bizarre aura surrounding the area. The other party didn't seem to need help either. Did they really invite me over just for a cup of coffee?

"Boss? Mr. Chu Feng?" Jessica called out softly, looking at the pensive Chu Feng, not wanting to waste time.

"Oh... okay." Snapping out of his thoughts, Chu Feng got out of the car and gestured for Jessica to come with him.

"Boss, I won't go in. I'd rather wait here for you!" Jessica hesitated before declining Chu Feng's invitation. Firstly, only Chu Feng had been invited, and secondly, Jessica really didn't want to see her superior after work hours.

"Then... alright!" Seeing that Jessica truly didn't wish to go in, Chu Feng could only wave his hand and entered alone.

He rang the doorbell, and the villa's main door quickly opened. A white-haired old man greeted Chu Feng with a beaming smile and welcomed him inside.

「Time ticked by.」

Drowsy in the car, Jessica wondered, Am I hallucinating? She seemed to faintly hear a few muffled groans coming from the villa.

"YAWN... I'm so sleepy! I got up a bit too early this morning!"

「Eventually」

The villa's main door opened again. Amidst Chief Silvan's hearty laughter, Chu Feng appeared at the entrance.

"Goodbye, Mr. Chu Feng! I will definitely remember my promise!"

"That's good. Remember to take good care of what I gave you. Goodbye, Chief Silvan!"

"Goodbye, Mr. Chu Feng!"

Startled awake, Jessica saw her chief laughing so heartily and acting so amiably for the first time. And why does the chief's hair color seem to have changed so much? Under the dim, flickering lights of the night, Jessica couldn't see clearly.

Once Chu Feng opened the car door and got in, Jessica kept glancing at him in the rearview mirror, hesitant to speak.

"What is it? Is there a problem?" Chu Feng, noticing Jessica's glances, asked with a hint of amusement.

"Boss, may I ask... what did you discuss with Chief Silvan? His attitude was so..." Jessica struggled to find the right adjective.

"Friendly? Obsequious? Heh..." Chu Feng chuckled, shaking his head. "Just remember this: from now on, your development efforts in the police department will face no further obstacles."

Jessica was stunned. Then, her eyes filled with anticipation as she tentatively asked, "Mr. Chu Feng, are you saying...?"

Chu Feng nodded slightly. "That's right, just as you're thinking! From now on, Chief Silvan will also be one of us!"

Even though she heard Chu Feng say it himself, Jessica's face remained etched with disbelief. "How is that possible? Given his position, how could he join us so easily? I mean, could Chief Silvan have some other motive?"

Another motive? Perhaps. But for now, at least, he's one of us. And I can reclaim everything at any moment. Chu Feng chuckled softly as he looked at the newly lit, pale green dot on the star map in his mind.
