The Exorcism Began in America.

Chapter 101: Black Dog (Please Follow and Support!)

Early morning. Sporadic gunfire echoed in the distance from within the Portland District as Chu Feng drove the SUV, temporarily his, into the city—now a playground for the Bizarre—for the second time.

The destination this time was to the southwest of the Portland District. Satellite photos showed it should have originally been a massive park.

Thanks to his experience from the day before yesterday, Chu Feng deliberately took a detour, approaching the Portland District from a different direction.

This road looks pretty good, at least it's not completely blocked...

Having just rounded a corner, Chu Feng suddenly yanked the steering wheel, veering onto the shoulder to barely avoid a large accident scene ahead.

Phew~ That was close... My ride can't get destroyed like this! Chu Feng, heart still pounding, glanced at the pile of vehicles crammed together in the rearview mirror and let out a long sigh.

After some time, the SUV, having used various maneuvers to navigate the accident-riddled stretch of road, finally reached what could loosely be called a clear path.

Hmm, not having to follow traffic rules is, in a word~ awesome...

The SUV tore recklessly down the road, and Chu Feng's mood lifted significantly as his stress eased.

A few minutes later, the speeding SUV suddenly came to a halt with a SCREECH of brakes.

Two damn Bizarre, picking just the right time!

BANG! The SUV door, flung open by an enraged Chu Feng, was slammed shut again.

Standing in the middle of the road, his hands shimmering with golden light, he gripped a Bizarre that was emitting black smoke, its body charred black.

Damn thing, you like setting vehicles on fire that much?

After ripping off the Bizarre's flaming right arm, Chu Feng's golden-glowing palm instantly covered its charred right cheek.

Under Chu Feng's precise control, only half the Bizarre's charred face was slapped off, exposing dark red flesh and bone beneath, yet not turning it directly to ash.

His hand didn't retract but swung back for another blow.

The Bizarre, utterly defenseless, could only struggle and let out pitiful, helpless howls in Chu Feng's grip.

Right, there was another one...

His right hand clenched suddenly, and the charred Bizarre instantly turned into a pile of ash, carried away by the wind.

Tilting his head, he shifted his gaze to the SUV's hood. An old woman in a white nightgown sat there, slowly turning her head as well.

Her face was pale. Her empty black eye sockets held nothing but darkness.

After locking eyes with Chu Feng for a few seconds, she suddenly let out an angry ROAR!

From her dark eye sockets and open mouth, three streams of pitch-black, viscous liquid erupted.

Nice performance, got the feel of a horror movie! But trying to scare an Exorcist who's been through countless battles? You're still far off...

The long Demon Hunting Blade instantly appeared in Chu Feng's hand.

He took a step forward, the blade flashed, and when Chu Feng reappeared, he was already in front of the Bizarre.

Another breeze blew past, and the old woman on the SUV's hood slowly turned into wisps of ash and drifted away.

He got back into the SUV, turned the ignition, and it roared to life, speeding off again under the watchful gaze of numerous Bizarre lurking in the shadows.

Apparently deterred by the deaths of the two Bizarre, the others along the way merely peeked from the shadows at Chu Feng's speeding SUV. Despite their watchful eyes, they made no move.

Afterward, encountering no further mishaps, Chu Feng's SUV soon stopped by the roadside, about a kilometer from a park.

Hah~ That familiar sulfur smell...

The moment he stepped out of the SUV, a faint, unpleasant odor in the air made Chu Feng wrinkle his nose in discomfort.

As he approached the park, the trees on both sides of the road gradually became more numerous.

However, judging by their withered, yellowed appearance, they seemed beyond saving.

Chu Feng glanced up at the giant black hole in the distant sky, lightning occasionally flashing within it. After twirling his long blade with a flourish, he hastened toward the depths of the park.

Along the way, the park's already sparse vegetation had all turned charred and withered.

Under the trees, amidst numerous tents and assorted debris, pools of bright red blood intermittently caught Chu Feng's eye.

It seems the addicts and homeless people here were the first victims...

In the depths of the park, a grassy area that once lay by the shore of an artificial lake was now completely dominated by a high wall built of corpses.

As for the lake's once-shimmering water, it had vanished without a trace, replaced by an inferno that seemed to burn with the fires of Hell.

Next to the inferno, a slender figure was taking a leisurely stroll, leading a black hound as large as a lion.

The middle-aged man wore a well-fitted black suit. From his breast pocket, a fine gold chain, seemingly attached to something within, dangled and swayed with his movements.

In his right hand, he held a gentleman's cane, which he occasionally tapped on the charred, yellowed ground as he walked.

The man's movements were steady and strong, exuding grace and composure with every gesture.

The black hound, its neck collared by a black chain, suddenly dropped low to the ground, bared its sharp teeth, and let out a chilling growl towards the distance.

"Berg, do we have visitors?" the man, exuding an aristocratic air, asked softly, gently stroking his pet's head.

In response, the black hound whimpered.

He nodded slightly, then lifted a hand to lightly adjust the brim of his top hat. "Go, Berg! Give our guest a welcoming gift..."

With that, he released the pitch-black iron chain from the black hound's neck.

At its master's command, two beams of crimson light shot from the black hound's eyes. It instantly transformed into a black streak of lightning and rushed out.

In the park, Chu Feng had already spotted the towering wall of corpses from a distance.

Just as a sense of unease made him slow his steps and cautiously survey his surroundings, a lightning-fast shadow shot into Chu Feng's range of Spiritual Perception.

Well-prepared, Chu Feng sidestepped. In a flash, a black shadow whizzed past him.

That's one big black dog! I wonder how big a pot would be needed to...

Turning, Chu Feng faced the large black dog. It was crouched low, baring its teeth and growling continuously at him. He swallowed, his mouth suddenly watering.

The huge black hound, its crimson eyes fixed on Chu Feng, suddenly cocked its head as if it sensed something.

After letting out a muffled growl, its sturdy hind legs instantly tensed.

The next second, the enormous black hound, now a streak of lightning, lunged forward with bared, fierce teeth, its attack abruptly cutting short Chu Feng's culinary daydreams.
