Maria watched the children play tag with immense curiosity from the top of the mountain her father  was supposed to be guarding...

As the people explored the land tying to understand it's strange lava rocks and volcanic wonder...

That's what the land of Lizardian was known for after all..

She wanted to be just like them.. full of wonder and excitement..

To be free to explore the world and all it's beauty...

Gecko Maria you scum! Get away from there! I won't have my daughter peeping on a bunch of disgusting humans like some lowlife!"

That was her father's call...

The call she hated most in her life...

Coming father!" Maria answered. As much as she hated him, he was still his father...

Look at them." Her father said as Maria approached him." Bunch of savages! Look how they stare and inspect rocks of all things! Disgusting humans!"

I think they don't get rocks like those back at their homes. I wonder what rocks they do get though."

SLAP!*

Just as Maria said this.. her father slapped her across the face, sending her flying towards the other  side of the mountain.

What have I told you about thinking of the outside world you fucking waste of space!!"

That I..I shouldn't..f..father" Maria said, as tears rolled down her eyes.

And don't call me that.. you're only the spawn of some ugly tavern wench I fucked! Damn whore couldn't keep her mouth shut and thanks to her I went from knight of the royal guard to some piece of crap border patrol unit in the middle of Volcan Mountain!! Not only that, but the bitch just had to die and leave me with some piece of crap daughter as well!" Her father, Kobra, said with immense anger..

Speaking of which.." Kobra said as he began walking towards the humans down below.

W..what are you doing?!" Maria asked, terrified at the realization of what her father wanted..

Oh just doing my job.. getting rid of those damn human scum before they bring more of their kind to our lovely country!" Kobra said as he reached the edge of the cliff and was ready to drop down on the unsuspecting family of archeologists..

Until Maria stopped him.

W..what the fuck are you doing?!"

I..I'm not letting you kill those innocents!"

Innocents?! Do you have any idea what the human race has done to us Lizardians?!"

Those people may be humans, but their not the ones who wronged us! I won't let you kill a bunch of innocent people because of something their ancestors did a long time ago!!"

But Kobra didn't want to hear it. He slapped Maria away and prepared to jump down and slaughter the family below...

Until he turned back to look at Maria..

M..Maria.. y..you.."

But this was only a year ago... Now whatever happened to Maria then, it's happening now..

M..Maria you green skinned bitch! Lemme go! Aren't you scared your daddy might die?!" Spanks shouted as he was inside the head of his giant suit which was being held up by Maria who was in fact the one who ripped it off in the first place..

Maria looked at him with blank eyes she she brought the head close to him and ripped Spanks out of it.

What the hell?! You're attacking me! This is directly violating the contract you stupid little.."

But Spanks stared at Farmer who fell off the giant suits hand and landed on the ground. Although he was a little scraped from the fall, he felt no damage, especially from what Maria was doing..

When he looked back at Maria, she had extended her hand back and ..

SLICE!*

She would've sliced off Spanks head if he hadn't slipped out of his own oversized suit.

Which in fact was his suit collector and his only source of power..

Maria looked at him blankly and then started drooling like a re..ah I'm not supposed to say that word..uh.. let's say like she had a stroke. Then she fell to the ground, shaking all over her body..

What's going on?! Maria.. what're you..."

Spanks! Get away from her!!

W..what the fuck?!" Spanks said as Maria began to change..

And grow bigger..

Are teeth and claws were sharpened, her back grew Spike's and her pupils returned, well new pupils.. that looked just like a lizard.

She looked at Spanks with saliva drooling down her face and body and approached him slowly.

And Spanks could sense her immense bloodlust and caused him to run..

W..why is this happening?! Why isn't the contract working?! Why..."  But before Spanks could finish talking, he tripped on a rock and fell.

Maria soon towered over him, like a predator over their prey.

She raised her hand to strike and then..

THIS ISNT YOU MARIA!"

Farmer stood in front of his daughter, blocking her way to Spanks. This caused Maria to step back..

Maria, remember what I told you! Don't give in to the rage! Don't let it consume you! Please return to me my dear!" Farmer said as he approached Maria slowly, and as she she got further away.. she began to look more and more scared until...

D..DADDY! PLEASE! GET AWAY FROM ME! IM NOT IN CONTROL! ITS..KKKYAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" But Maria was cut of by herself, and began to his and scream profusely.

Then she raised her hand to attack, but Farmer didn't budge.

What the hell are you doing?! RUN YOU IDIOT" Spanks shouted at his father.

No! You're right Sam! I abandoned you in your time of need! But I won't do the same to Maria! I won't abandon my children ever again!" Farmer said as Maria's hand came striking down, ready to cut him in half..

Well it would've, if I didn't use up my left over strength to hop in there and grab it as fast as I could.

S..Spike?! What're you.. I thought you were dead!"

Yeah well either I don't die easily, or your son is shit at killing! Now get the hell outta here!"

B..but Spike.. your no match for her! She'll kill you!!"

But Spanks grabbed Farmer and the two ran as fast as they could...

Leaving me with this little one over here.

As the two ran, Spanks looked at his father in confusion.

Hey.. Farmer, what the hell was that?! Why didn't the contract work when she attacked me?" Spanks asked his father.

B.. because that isn't Maria Sam.  That was her Feral mode." Farmer said with a hint of fear in his voice.

Feral mode?! I ..I think I've heard of it before, but I didn't think it was real.. isn't that some kind of power boost those Lizardian people get?"

Not exactly. Maria told me the day I adopted her. Her people have this inner demon, their feral instinct, I think she called it, that takes control over their bodies once they succumb to too much rage."

If she told you about it, then why the hell did you adopt her?!" Spanks asked, confused at his father's strange decision.

Because she was a girl without a home, a year ago she went feral and killed her father so she had to flee her home country and ended up in Capo Initiative, more specifically, this little town."

And you just had to adopt a ticking time bomb?!"

She was in need of a home! If she went back to her's she'd be executed for patricide and if she roamed the world she would've ended up a slave! You of all people should know how much she's worth on the black market!"

That still doesn't explain why you'd make such a dangerous choice!

Because as I said before, I abandoned you in your hour of need, but I wasn't going to abandon her!"

Spanks just stared at his father as the two ran for their lives..

Maybe he really did try to look for me..." Spanks thought..

WOAH THERE MARIA!" I said, holding her arm and trying my best to keep her making any unexpected moves.

But she moved unexpectedly all right and as I tried to keep her under control..

STAB!*

She overpowered me and sent her hand flying through my godamn chest!

Saying it hurt like actual hell would be the understatement of the century but damn...

I guess there was no avoiding it. I needed to take her down by any means necessary before she lets lose and slaughters this entire town.

I was saving this little trick for Spanks but that ship has sailed, and a way bigger one just docked...

K9 upgrade level 1:  MINI SPIKE!

BOOOM!*

With a powerful explosion sent Maria flying through a nearby building..

But it wasn't the explosion she needed to be scared of...

It was me, new and improved...

I shrunk myself to the size of a penny!

How could I do this despite all the damage I suffered? Well that's just it! It is the damage I suffered that allows me to do this!

I have the hidden ability to absorb all forms of damage to my body and turn it into raw power..

That's why no matter how much I get hit, I just don't go down!

Or enhance my body any way I can!

But why shrink myself you ask? Well you're about to find out!

And so was Maria as she pounced from the building she landed on towards me at a frightening speed, however I managed to dodge her with perfect ease!

How you ask? Well, although I'm the size of a penny, I still have all my immense dog human super strength!

But my whole body hurts like hell though..

But that didn't matter now, as I had to take care of Maria, who just noticed that I dodged her attack and saw me!

She tried to grab my little body but I was too nimble for her and summersaulted around her hand like an Olympian!

KKYAAAAAAAAAH!"

This didn't sit well with her though as she gave a loud roar.

That was my chance!

I quickly jumped right into her mouth,  narrowly escaping her hand which tried to grab me again.

Maria struggled to spit me out but I quickly grabbed her uvula  and jumped right down her throat!

What was I to do now I was in there?

Let lose!

Before Maria could react to what was going on? I release all the pent of damage inside her body, knocking her out!

At least, I thought it did, as she didn't fall too easily

She was severely damaged, inside and out, but that wasn't enough to knock her down!

She then stabbed herself with her own hand and reach inside her body to find me, and if she did, I was done for!

I tried to swim through different blood vessels to avoid capture but she kept on stabbing different parts of her body to get me and before long I was trapped in her stomach!

But just as she was about to stab in and get me, I noticed something.

All the parts she stabbed were healing pretty fast..

... and that gave me an idea!

I  left the stomach as fast as I could before she got me and swam up her oesophagus however, she read my movements and stabbed herself in the throat to block me.

Just as I planned!

I swam high enough to reach her hand which was still lodged in her throat and released all my stored power!

BOOOM!*

I released a devastating explosion inside her body and finally...

She fell to the ground!

It was over...

I finally won!

Back at town square, the townspeople were gathered around Farmer and Spanks as they explained everything.

S..so is the dog guy gonna be okay?" One child asked.

I don't know. Maria was really strong  when she was under control but I have no idea how powerful she is once her feral mode is out." Spanks answered the child.

And why the hell aren't we beating this asshole to a bloody pulp?!" One man shouted.

This then got the people into a rage and they surrounded Spanks.

Just when they were about to attack him however, Farmer stood before them and ordered them to stop.

B..but Farmer! This man treated us like shit! And let's not even mention what he tried to do to you and Maria!" One woman said which got all the people to agree.

Yes, he did attack us, but that doesn't give us the right to lynch him like a bunch of animals! Isn't this kind of needless violence why we left Podgea?"

The people looked at him in confusion.

Didn't we all lose someone we loved when Podgea fell? And didn't we all come together and agree leave such madness behind? And didn't we all become better people for it? My son however," Farmer said, pointing to Spanks, which shocked everyone in the town.

"Was never saved from  that madness because of my foolishness and inability to rescue him and got molded by it, but that doesn't mean he can't change! Please work with me and let's change him for the better!" Farmer said.

Spanks nearly dropped to the ground and began crying profusely!

N..no they're right! I let the monster in me take over! Please let them beat me! I don't deserve to live after all Ive done!" Spanks shouted as he cried.

But Farmer lifted him off the ground and hugged him.

No Sam, I won't let them hurt you. I won't lose you. Not now not ever again!" Farmer said to his son as he began to cry too

The townspeople looked in shock at the two of them..

And one of them began to clap..

Then they all clapped together. Cheering the two on.

Spanks let go of his father and bowed before all the people in apology, but before he could utter a word, one man lifted  him up and hugged him...

followed by another...

and another...

and soon the whole town was hugging Spanks, who cried the whole time..

Until he stared of into the distance and saw a shadow approaching.

That's when he realized they were all fucked

E...EVERYONE! STOP HUGGING AND RUN!"

But it was too late, the figure was close enough but they were all surprised to see..

HEY NOW! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GOING! ITS ONLY YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIKE DOGTOOTH COMING TO SAY HELLO! AND DELIVER A PACKAGE TO A CERTAIN OLD MAN WITH A STUPID NAME!!" I shouted as I held Maria, who was unconscious yet she healed from all her injuries.

SPIKE!!" Farmer shouted as he saw Maria was fine, but I was a bloodied mess.

If only my healing was that fast" I said, as everything turned dark...
