Chapter 58 - Wendy
Waking up to her stomach's continuous gurgling, Leena got up from her bed and rushed into the bathroom. She wished she shouldn't have eaten all those chocolates and cookies like a hungry rat. Since last night she has to hit the washroom door continuously due to indigestion. Just when she thinks it would be done, it would start again, and it stressed her till midnight.
"Now I am free. Who said love is the best feeling? Finding a washroom during loose motions is better than that." Tiredly Leena fell on the bed with no energy to even lift her body. But to her annoyance, sleep was nowhere in reach. The horrifying picture of the woman sitting over a dead body was haunting her.
"What a scary ghost!" The memory brought goosebumps to her arms.
"Should I wake him up?" Leena whispered with a little amount of energy left. But her inner self did not allow her to wake him up when she remembered his tired face.
Getting up, Leena tried to watch a movie to at least hit the bed when she feels tired, but nothing was working out. So she straightaway went to his room. Looking at the sleeping hunk, Leena exhaled a deep breath. He is definitely not a human.
"I am here because there is no proper ventilation in my room. Don't overthink, idiot." She pulled his hair and reluctantly settled at the edge of his bed, without knowing she would end up on his legs in the morning.
....
"He is not Adonis. A monster. How can he scare me just like that!" Her reaction ran from apathy to infuriation and strolled into the washroom angrily to get herself fresh. After having a long warm bubble shower, Leena emerged out happily as if her all troubles washed away. Then she went into the closet and picked a red vintage floral pleated skirt and matched it with a modern white shirt.
"I look like a hot chick. He always teases me right? Let's see if he doesn't get flattered today." Satisfied with her look, Leena headed outside to have her breakfast. But it was already in her table.
"Who brought this?" Did Mr. Adonis...
"No. Why would he do that? Teasing me is the only job he knows." Leena grabbed the food and gobbled up like a hungry cat. After all, the night activity has drained the entire content in her body.
When Leena went downstairs, she could see many new faces again and she recognized some common friends of her and Leah. After exchanging pleasantries with them, she went into Leah's room to check up on her.
"Hello, Miss bride. There are only eight days left for your wedding. How is the preparation?" Walking into the room, Leena noticed Kyle was also sitting with Leah and smiled at her.
"Honestly, I am not doing anything darling. Mom is not even allowing me to choose the dress." She went on. "By the way, your soulmate has arrived."
" Why did you invite her Leah?" Leena cried jumping listening to the shocking news.
"I did not even inform her that I am getting married. She invited herself. You very well know she doesn't have any shame, right?" Leah explained. She doesn't know what sort of problems that woman would create for Leena at the wedding.
"Wait, her soulmate? you are talking about a girl?" Kelly asked in confusion.
"It's a long story, Kelly." Leah started. "Her name is Wendy and she shares a special relationship with our Leena."
"Interesting. Continue." Kyle was eager to know more about Leena. She had her own reasons.
Lying on the bed, Leena grabbed an apple from the table listening to her own story. It's been a long time she heard of that pest.
"We met Wendy at a Paris fashion show for the first time. It was only a five-day tour but she created a lot of trouble for Leena. If a guy has a crush on Leena and Wendy happens to like her crush. It happened with many and she always blames Leena for snatching and seducing her princes. Since then Leena is her biggest enemy and would always create trouble for her. Even now."
"She is funny," Kyle laughed shaking her head.
"A weird one too. She immediately flew from New York just because she got to know that Leena is here." Leah giggled. If she tells that Wendy even left her photoshoot behind, Leena would flare up in anger.
"argghhh...I am having a headache already. Stupid trouble brewer." Leena hit her head thinking of that annoying pest.
"Salsa is entertaining everyone with his dance moves. He is the best medicine for headaches. Let's go." Kyle winked at them.
"I am tired. You guys carry on." Leena put up her fatigued face. Watching his handsome face would be much better than going with them and moreover, Leena has already thought of finding that idiot to show her beautiful dress.
She acted like a sleeping pig until Leah and Kyle went out.. Soon after they left, opening the door slowly, like a cat she went out in search of him.
