The Devil's Sweetheart

Not to strangle him in front of all the guests, Leena curbed her anger and strolled inside the kitchen to fill her stomach. Why does he like to tease me a lot? Although she was angry, at once Leena couldn't help but laugh when she remembered the content inside the notes. While taking a shower, her gaze was moving to her back continuously.

"Sweet Cheeks." She whispered and smiled. So that means I have a beautiful back right?

"Of course Leena. You have been named as the hottest model by the top magazines." Sitting on her left shoulder, her devil spoke up.

"Wake up idiot. You should punish him. He has seen your back." Her angel-voiced out sitting on the left shoulder.

"So what, isn't it normal for him to see if our Leena is drop-dead gorgeous." Her devil made a statement.

"Devil, why do you always provoke her. She has turned into a complete narcissist." Angel voiced her concern.

"Angel, I never_"

"Can you both stop!" Leena brushed both her devil and angel off her shoulders as if shooing some dirt when she could sniff a delicious dress from a certain woman and her exciting eyes followed in that direction.

Reaching over her destination, Leena's eyes bulged looking at the beautiful modest yellow sheath dress hugging a woman's body perfectly in the right places. One look, she eluded elegance, her long curls waving along with her elegant moves. Under her bangs, shone the dazzling deep black eyes which were twinkling when her gaze moved from one person to another. Leena couldn't help but notice her glistening eyes each time she made eye contact with others.

"You must be Leena right?" The woman uttered turning towards Leena with a smile. Her smooth honey voice reached Leena's ears which could melt any person.

Leena was gazing at the anonymous woman without blinking her eyes in a daze. How did she know my name? She definitely looks beautiful, but no one has been born on this planet who can outsmart me. Never can happen that. She smirked victoriously with that thought.

"I am Kyle, Kyle Sawyer. Austin's cousin." Marching forward, with a smile she greeted Leena with a hearty handshake.

"Hola Papi." Leena accepted the handshake wholeheartedly when she sensed a playful vibe around her. Should I ask her where she brought the dress? But then again, being a fashionista, Leena felt her ego would hurt if she doesn't even know the brand.

"Wow. You can speak Spanish?" Kyle asked with excitement.

"Yo Sé." She winked. Leena loved learning new languages, especially the European ones and she happens to have many friends from the European region when she was modeling. So, it became easy to learn her favorite French, Spanish, and German languages.

"Leah and Austin always speak high about you. I thought they were simply brandishing you. Now that I have seen, I have to change my thoughts." Kyle retorted, never fading her lively smile.

"You never visit us even if we beg. What made you attend to my marriage in ten days' advance?" Leah spoke up entering into the kitchen holding a glass of banana juice for Leena.

"It's my cousin's wedding. So obviously I should be here right?" She beamed.

"You outrightly rejected even after we requested and begged to attend our marriage." Leah knew Kyle's reasons for not attending any events and she did not force her when she denied it. It was strange, Kyle has accepted their proposal directly, after their second attempt to ask her.

"Well, I freed my hectic schedule to not disappoint you guys."

"I bet you will enjoy the wedding Kyle. After all, my darling is here." Turning towards Leena, Leah shoved the banana juice into her hands. " Here, drink your morning energy."

"You are the best Leah." Leena felt bad for calling her miser yesterday. Famished, she put an end to her thoughts and gulped down the entire content in a single go and looked at her friend innocently for another one.

"How many you drink a day? Go and have breakfast now." Leah chided her. She even added all the dry fruits and made a big glass, but this glutton finished it in one sip.

"You like banana juice?" Kyle asked looking at the finished smoothie the moment she was offered it to Leena.

"A lot. More than those stupid minions who claim to love bananas." Both burst out laughing.

"I wonder why you don't eat them anymore, Kyle. You used to gobble them up even if everyone called you a fatty back in your school days." She remembered the bubbly Kyle who loved to eat all the junk even after her weight was putting pressure on her. Now that Leah is looking at the beautiful woman, she wondered what made her change the decision to cut everything and slim down her body.

"Leaving something for someone and even if we leave that something to live happily with that someone and that someone doesn't recognize it but still you can't leave them." Her bitter voice was not hard to recognize by Leena.

"Why are you speaking in puzzles? Had something happened in your home?" Leah asked worriedly while Leena looked at her in confusion.

"No. It's a quote which I read today and I wanted to share it with you guys." Kyle smiled and went away hoping that they would not see through her thoughts.

Looking at the retreating figure, Leena thought back to her words. She could feel the pain and distress in Kyle's eyes, for she had once gone through that phase. She wanted to pry further, but it's not the time when the delicious aroma was calling up.

After having a hearty breakfast, Leena went outside to have a breath of fresh air.

"Jurassic, wait!" Running fast from the house, Salsa followed Leena's direction waving at her.

"Good Morning Salsa. Why are you running fast?" Turning towards the man, Leena looked at the running and stumbling Salsa in an attempt to reach her.

"Obviously to reach you. How is my outfit." He asked twirling around. When she praised him yesterday, Salsa ordered many of the stylish outfits to show off in front of her. After all, someone has come searching for him finally in the form of a goddess.

"Too flashy." Looking at the flamboyant Batman outfit, She had a hunch that it is from the brand that was popping up in her mind.

"Thank you. I got it from Amigo brand." He sheepishly added.

"No wonder I guessed it correctly." Out of blue, Leena remembered uncle Pumpkin wearing all those flashy shirts from Amigo. She wished to sees that amigo brand CEO with her own eyes so that she can beat him to death for designing all those kinky outfits.

"I am bored. Let's water the plant's Salsa." She said.

"Anything to for you Jurassic." He said.

Kicking the maids who were watering the plants, Leena and Salsa took up the job of gardening seriously. Dancing and chatting happily both were engrossed in their business until they heard the noises for a man and woman from a little far end. Both rushed to the nearby tree. Hiding behind the tree bushes to listen to the conversation which was barely audible. Leena had her own reasons to hide and as for Salsa, she did not care.

"OMG! Kyle is attending the wedding? I am seeing her for a long time." Salsa whispered looking at the beautiful woman. As far as he remembered, she doesn't even attend their own family events.

"Your family looks very close. She doesn't come here often?" She mumbled not raising her voice which could distract them. She disdainfully looked at the man chatting happily with Kyle. What can she expect from a playboy like him? She wanted to shave one of his eyebrows once for all for attracting every woman.

"No. She always distances herself from everyone." Looking at his sides, he gestured Leena to move forward when his mouth was itching him to talk about the juicy matter. "If you don't tell anyone, I will tell you a secret."

"Pinky promise." Leena made a gesture of zipping her mouth when she is always ready for gossips.

"Kyle is the illegitimate daughter of the Sawyer family. Even though the Sawyer family accepted her, she was bullied in the school for her low birth. So, she always felt lonely and distanced herself. She was very fat and her grades were very poor back then, but suddenly she outsmarted everyone in her class surprising everyone."

"What made her change suddenly," Leena asked. There are so many mysteries surrounding Kyle and she did not expect her to have such a sad past life surrounded by bullies.

"No idea. She was saved by someone when she was brutally bullied in school. I once heard her speaking to a friend that she is working hard to stand proudly next to someone and that is the reason she is changing."

"Look at that rascal. He was always smitten by her since high school. Who doesn't? Kyle is so kind and beautiful. Except being an illegitimate daughter, everything is perfect about her." Salsa pouted.
