THE DESCENT OF EVIL GODS

Chapter 7: A Race Against Time

The world outside continued as if nothing was wrong. People went to work, children played in the streets, and governments engaged in politics as usual. No one knew the war for survival was approaching.

But within Huaxia, everything had changed.

Forging an Army

Under Su Chen's command, the awakening academies operated at full capacity. Every capable individual—soldiers, martial artists, even ordinary civilians—was pushed into training.

Mana enhancement fields were established, flooding participants with high-density mana to awaken latent abilities.

Forbidden techniques were tested, pushing the limits of human potential.

Combat simulations against recorded divine beings were created to prepare for the real battle ahead.

Some perished during training. Others rose stronger than ever.

Yet, it wasn't enough.

The awakening rate was too slow.

Su Chen's Unique Training

Knowing time was against them, Su Chen personally trained a select few using his own methods.

His training was brutal. He dragged his students into high-mana zones where the energy was unstable.

"Survive here for a week," he said coldly. "Or leave now and remain weak."

None of them left.

Days later, those who survived emerged far stronger than before.

Su Chen also introduced a new awakening method—forcing individuals to experience near-death conditions under controlled environments.

Pain. Desperation. Fear.

Those who endured either died or awakened.

The results were terrifying. Some gained elemental powers stronger than standard awakenings. Others developed unique abilities never seen before.

It was risky, but necessary.

Huaxia had to stand at the peak of power.

The Powerhouses Begin to Rise

Among those who survived, a few stood out:

Wang Jun – A general's son, awakened with gravity manipulation, allowing him to crush enemies with sheer force.

Ye Meng – A former elite soldier who gained shadow teleportation, making him a deadly assassin.

Luo Qian – A scientist who unexpectedly awakened a spiritual domain, able to predict enemy attacks before they happened.

These were just the first. More would come.

But Su Chen needed something stronger.

He needed god-killers.

Pushing His Own Limits

While overseeing the awakening of others, Su Chen didn't neglect himself.

Unlimited mana meant he could cast spells without restraint, but mana alone wouldn't defeat billions of gods.

He needed new abilities.

So he delved into forbidden magic.

With no cooldowns or mana restrictions, he began mastering spells that were once considered impossible.

He experimented with combining elements, creating techniques that blended fire, ice, lightning, and gravity into devastating attacks.

Days turned into weeks as he pushed beyond human limits.

And then—

It happened.

A system notification appeared before him.

> [New Ability Unlocked: Forbidden Fusion Magic]

Combine any two spells into a more powerful, unique ability.

Su Chen's lips curled into a cold smile.

Now, he was ready to start killing gods.

The Gods Watch from Afar

Far beyond Blue Star, in realms unseen by mortals, the gods stirred.

Their gazes turned toward the planet where a single man was disrupting their plans.

"What is this human doing?" one god murmured.

"Awakening others. Preparing for war," another sneered.

They laughed.

But a single voice, deeper and colder than the rest, silenced them.

"This one… is dangerous."

For the first time in millennia, the gods felt unease.

And Su Chen did not yet know that they were watching.

The war was coming.
