Chapter 3: The Weight of a Prophet
Standing Before Power
Outside the Huaxia Government Headquarters, security was at maximum alert. Su Chen stood at the entrance, staring at the grand building. The flags of Huaxia fluttered under the morning sun.
He stepped forward.
Immediately, a dozen armed guards blocked his path.
"Halt!" one of them ordered. "This is a restricted area!"
Su Chen remained calm. "I need to speak with the higher-ups. Immediately."
The guards exchanged looks. One of them sneered, "Oh? And why would we let some random brat in? Do you have an appointment?"
Su Chen's gaze sharpened. He didn't have time for this.
"The world is going to change in two months," he said coldly. "I don't need an appointment. I need an audience."
The guards laughed. "Get lost, kid. You think some doomsday prophecy will—"
BOOM!
A sudden shockwave rippled through the area as blue lightning crackled around Su Chen's body. The guards stumbled back, eyes wide with disbelief. The air grew thick with mana. The very ground beneath them trembled.
One of the officers reached for his radio. "C-Captain! We have a situation! Someone is—"
Before he could finish, Su Chen vanished.
A gust of wind blasted through the entrance.
By the time they looked up, he was already inside.
A Storm in the Government Halls
Alarms blared as Su Chen walked calmly through the main corridor. Dozens of soldiers rushed toward him, but with a mere flick of his wrist—
Time slowed.
Every guard, every officer froze mid-step, as if trapped in a different dimension. Their eyes darted around in confusion, but their bodies couldn't move.
Ignoring them, Su Chen continued forward.
Within minutes, he reached the conference hall, where Huaxia's top officials were already gathered. The President, generals, and scientific advisors sat behind a long table.
They had been preparing for a routine meeting.
Instead, their doors slammed open.
A man walked through the entrance.
Su Chen stepped inside, his presence like a thunderstorm crashing into the room.
Declaring the Future
"Who the hell are you?!" one of the military officials barked, standing up.
Su Chen ignored him. He walked to the center of the room, facing Huaxia's leaders.
"I am Su Chen," he said, his voice booming across the hall. "And in two months, this world will face an invasion unlike anything you've ever imagined."
Silence.
Then—
Laughter.
One of the politicians scoffed. "Invasion? Of what? Aliens?"
The room chuckled. Even the scientists shook their heads.
Su Chen didn't laugh.
Instead, he raised his hand.
And then—
The world changed.
A sudden crackling explosion of mana filled the room. The air vibrated with power as flames, lightning, and ice erupted from Su Chen's body all at once.
A floating ring of golden fire encircled his form.
The air pressure skyrocketed, making it hard to breathe. Papers flew, chairs screeched against the floor, and the very walls of the hall trembled.
The room plunged into chaos.
Some officials stumbled back, their faces turning pale. Others grabbed their throats, gasping for air as the sheer density of mana pressed down on them.
Su Chen's gaze swept over them.
"This… is the power that will fight the gods." His voice was like rolling thunder. "If you refuse to believe me now, then Huaxia will fall like the rest of the world."
The laughter was gone.
Instead, terror filled their eyes.
