The Cursed Extra: Twin Souls Against the World

Chapter 95: The chaos

"Sister, what do you think is the punishment for going after the House of Zenaris?"

Melina just stared into his eyes. Even though she was maintaining a poker face, Xane could see those fidgety eyes.

Not long after, she just said in a cold tone, "After what you have done, are you even worthy of calling yourself a Zenaris?"

Xane burst out laughing. "Puff, haha, oh my dear sister, don't act like you don't know me."

He puffed his chest and looked back at the class. "I am a direct family member of the future leader of Zenaris. Do you think I have to force myself on others? Which of these peasants wouldn't come to me of their own accord?"

His words vibrated through the class.

Many elves and dwarves had ugly expressions, but none among the humans stood up to refuse.

Even the commoners in the upper batch dared not raise their voices, and those who could did not want to offend one of the top noble houses.

He looked back at Melina with wide eyes. "Dear sister, don't tell me you also fell for their trick."

Jake, who was sitting beside Melina, chimed in from the side. "Viyron brother, calm down. How about we talk after class?"

Xane slammed his fist on the table.

Bam!

"Don't tell me you want me, a Zenaris, to take things lying down?"

Jake was about to argue when Melina waved her hand at him.

She said in a calm but loud tone for everyone in the class to hear, "Viyron, as a Zenaris, you should know our value. Any descendant who has to rely on the family name is not worthy to bear the family name."

Xane just smiled at her and asked, "Oh, in that sense, if I don't rely on the family name, there should be no problem, right?"

She stared daggers at him but still nodded. "Yup."

Xane started clapping his hands and moved back.

He stood up on the podium and spread his arms wide. "Haha, you guys heard my sister, right? In the name of I, Viyron Zenaris, I have a special task for everybody."

Xane could see many faces twitching in the front row, while many in the back started whispering with each other.

Not wasting any moment, he looked directly at the girl who accused him and shouted, "From this day onward, I will unconditionally support anyone who brings me her teeth!"

The words came out of him, and a very strong killing intent locked onto him.

A thin but sharp voice directly refused him. "Hmph, that's why I hate the likes of you. Don't tell me you people think this is your home where you can act as you please. You are nothing but a goon without your family!"

Xane raised his eyebrow as the blond elf Eline stood up in the center of the class.

He tilted his head at a 90-degree angle. "Haha, says the one who is only worth being called 'potential.' Who the hell are you, bitc—"

Liam shouted back, "Don't you dare talk to my teammate like that!"

Not caring about his reaction, Liam asked in an icy voice, "Melina, is this how you handle house matters? Bullying a weak girl who was the victim of your brother's attack?"

"Victim? She spread all that bullshit about me bullying."

Eline fired back, "Oh, you expect us to believe you? Didn't those from your house already admit the truth? There's no point in hiding. Your sister has already publicly apologized."

Xane shouted back, "Apologized for what? You think just because you have a bit of potential, you can do as you please? Don't tell me you're behind that girl."

Eline rolled her eyes. "Oh, now there's a mastermind behind all this? You know what, yes. I am behind her."

She turned back to the lower batch. "If anyone dares to lay a hand on her, be ready to face me."

Xane pointed at her. "You… you… Why the hell are you protecting her? Didn't the upper batch and lower batch stay separate?"

"Oh, what happened to you? You could use your family to bully others, but now you have a problem?"

Xane clenched his jaw and said in a cold tone, "Are you sure you want to make an enemy out of us?"

At that moment, Liam stood up and walked in front of Eline. "Is the House of Zenaris threatening us?"

For the first time, Melina stood up in panic. "No, Liam, it's a misunderstanding!"

Liam shouted back at her, "What misunderstanding? Didn't you just brag about the House of Zenaris?"

Melina shook her head. "No, no, it's not like that."

Liam did not give her a chance as his killing intent switched its target. "Not like what? How do you explain that?"

Melina waved her hand. "Listen to me—"

Xane just took a step behind Melina and stared at the chaos.

Just as Liam was about to burst again, another person stood up and placed his hand on Liam's shoulder.

The moment Liam saw Samuel, he paused.

Samuel shook his head. "Calm down, Liam. We know Melina already. Don't tell me you're going to ignore everything just because some random guy told you a bunch of nonsense."

Samuel turned to Melina. "I believe it's a misunderstanding. At least let's hear Melina's side."

Xane stared intently at Samuel.

Zayn shouted in his mind. [Shit, why the hell did he have to interfere? He's going to mess everything up. Xane, we have to do something.]

But contrary to Zayn's urging, Xane just stood there without uttering a single word.

This gave Melina ample time to reorganize. She turned around.

Even before she said anything, Xane could see the ruthlessness in her eyes.

The next moment, massive pressure started radiating from her as she shouted back at him, "Viyron Zenaris, who gave you the authority over the family? How dare you sully the family name like that?"

The pressure coming from her almost made Xane stumble as he took a step back.

Even the others behind him buckled a bit under the pressure, and Melina's voice echoed through the classroom.

Xane said in a desperate tone, "But… but."

She shouted back at him, "How dare you talk back to me? Apologize to Liam at this moment!"

Xane stared at her with wide eyes. "What?"
