Xane sat at the center of the black rune, eyes closed, while Xenor observed everything frantically, noting down every little detail in a thin notebook.
After a long time, Xane, now covered in sweat, slowly opened his eyes.
Xenor rushed forward and asked in a suppressed tone, "What happened?"
Xane just smiled at him. "Succeed."
